- Took the new St. Croix Avid Panfish rod for a spin and it was nice. The 6'4" light power/fast action rod seemed perfect for fishing in some thicker cover with some larger fish. I don't think I'd like it for catching some smaller bluegill, but when targeting some larger panfish or perhaps in some bigger water, it is great. Glad I picked this rod up and I'm looking forward to fishing it more.

I made the mistake of picking up one of the St Croix panfish rods at my local Dick’s Sporting Goods yesterday…. now I want one.😂 Last thing I need is more fishing rods. Man, their UL panfish stuff feels super nice.
I had that rod in the same model as this one. It is also a solid rod. Ended up selling it after I got this one. All the stuff I've tried from St. Croix is solid.
Hello Bro?
How are you?
I haven't fished ultra light in a few years, but after seeing your fishing video in a beautiful lake with a fountain in the middle, I was inspired to try ultra light fishing again, but I don't know where to start yet.
Healthy greetings and success always, friend 😀👍
Thank you. These slightly larger fish are a lot of fun too. I'm sure you've got some good ultralight fishing opportunities in Indonesia too.
@@TheFishingNomad 🙂👍
I returned mine.
The mismatched tip was a foreboding.
It didn't cast any better than a diawa procyon and was humiliated by the humble diawa laguna.
I'm not a diawa guy but was shopping at Academy, and that was their selection of light power rods. The procyon was a super light (weight) rod but had micro guides, and this rod was for flouro line, which made them a handicap.
(Edit:) I bought this rod to cast light lures (
Nice video! I like the rod. I may consider buying it. Because i have some bluegills and mayans over here.
After using it for several months now, I love it. Would definitely buy it again.
@@TheFishingNomad glad you like it.
This would make a great crappie rod.
Yup I think so too. Crappie are extremally are this far south. I've only ever seen one in these waters and it was a dead floater. I've been meaning to try fishing for them on Lake Okeechobee.
Great review
Thank you. I've been fishing this rod a lot recently. Let me know if you have any questions.
Excellent
Thank you.
I bought the panfish 6’4 light and might be regretting not getting the avid. Did you like the thin handle of the panfish or the bulkier grip on the avid? Notice a big quality improvement on the avid compared to the panfish?
Piękne ryby szkoda że w Polsce takich nie ma udanego wędkowania👍
Przyjedź na Florydę! Pokażę ci kilka fajnych miejsc do łowienia ryb.
What reel are you using ?
Daiwa legalis. Link in the description.
Does the rod feel like a noodle?
No, not really. It's the perfect amount of stiff and flexible in my opinion.
You said $800 panfish rod from St Croix what’s the name of it
I believe I said "a hundred dollar" not "eight hundred dollar". Probably could've pronounced it clearer.
I have the $410 legend elite pan fish rod I was wondering about that but I thought you said $800 I was thinking what 😂😂😂
What’s the difference from the ASFS SERIES and the ASPS SERIES the p is for pan fish but what’s the f stand for get the F ‘OUT 😂😂😂
Is it the tip whippy?
I would say no, at least not in this model. The UL models, especially the longer ones might be.
How can you talk about a fishing rod for 14 3/4 minutes? Did your friends kick you to the curb?
Just because you lack the mental capacity to understand it, doesn't mean it isn't valid.
