Thanks for taking your time to check out Aldious and would love to see you guys do more. Aldious and Lovebites are my 2 favorite bands from Japan. Personally between Rami and Re:NO I prefer Rami and the Rami era of their music. But both vocalists are still 2 of my all time favorite vocalists for different reasons. If you didnt particularly like Re:NO I do highly suggest checking out their older stuff because Rami 's style is quite abit different and is considered to be more "metal". After Re:NO joined the band started taking a different direction musically to fit Re:NO's style better and typically the older stuff especially with Rami is usually alittle heavier. They do play a variety of stuff and even some songs that borderline Thrash.
Aldious formed in 2008 and with the success of their 1st album "Deep Exceed" released in 2010 they took the scene by storm and started the all girl metal band boom. No Aldious is not the 1st all female metal band from Japan but they are credited for starting the wave of female metal bands to come following their success. Their 1st album "Deep Exceed" reached #15 in the Oricon charts and their 2nd album "Determination" reached #13. Aldious released 2 albums with vocalist and co-founder Rami before having to step down in 2012 due to health related issues, she was quickly replaced with Re:NO and in 2013 released their 3rd album "District Zero" which became their 1st album to break the top 10 in the Oricon charts at #7. Their 4th album "Dazed and Delight" was releaased in 2014 and at the end of 2014 their original drummer Aruto stepped down to start a family and was replaced with Marina seen in this video. The song you checked out "Sweet Temptation" is from their 5th album "Radiant A" released in 2015. The album "Unlimited Diffusion" was released in 2017 and in 2018 Re:NO had to step down with health issues. In 2019 they picked up their 3rd vocalist R!N but in 2021 had to step down due to mental health issues. Aldious is still active but with a guest vocalist Maki Oyama who is not an official member. Just this last month in February their drummer Marina stepped down due to health related issues. So as of right now the band offically has 3 members Yoshi (guitar) 2008-present, Toki (guitar) 2009-present, and Sawa (bass) 2008-present. If you guys ever get a chance to hear the album "Deep Exceed" by Aldious I recommend it. Deep Exceed was selected as one of the "55 Best Metal Albums in Japan" from the 70s to present by Young Guitar magazine. I really highly recommend checking out the songs "Bind" or "Eversince" from Deep Exceed if you want to check out their original style that brought them to success, Not the re-recorded versions with R!N from Evoke
    For a direction to go:
If you check out Rami songs like "Bind" (Deep Exceed), "Eversince" (Deep Exceed), "Mermaid" (Determination), or "Spirit Black" (Determination)
For Re:NO songs like "White Crow" (District Zero), "Dominator" (Dazed And Delight), We Are (We Are EP), or "Monster" (All Brose EP)

... Interesting, I knew some infos but not the "after R!N" period ... Re:NO is by far my fav japanese female Rock/Metal singer, a real woman with a special voice, not like the other female singers like Bandmaids, Lovebites or other Nemophila and co (If I remember well she came from more mainstream music and after 2019 she returned in this type of music) ...

Yes, Aldious are the OGs in the genre, and they are also pretty diverse. This was exactly an Evanescence feeling track but the next one will not be, because it could be Avril Lavigne or Maiden, or Motörhead, or even truly unadulterated Aldious. Most of their themes are some kind of fantasy. Rami was a decent vocalist but R!N was bloody awesome. Re:NO contributed a lot more to the band than just vocals though, she was the front woman and main songwriter for a few albums. Her style is actually pretty awesome once you wrap your head round it and solo she’s great.
Like most of the other bands in the genre, they are best served live. Truly. The energy is everything.
They are currently still doing live shows with Maki Oyama as a stand in vocalist - she’s all rock so Lacey will be happy, but she weirdly doesn’t fit Aldious so well because of it.
They Megalomaniac, Go Away or Dominator live for a real Aldious experience. I’m not sure if there are live R!N tracks still around but there are live Rami and Maki tracks out there.
Oh yeah, kinda love Aldious, mostly because they have some of the best actual music - you don’t get to be the breakout of your genre without having the material to make it happen.

Try the live version of "We Are" with Maki Oyama on vocals.

Hey Gents welcome to Aldious.. Sorry you don't like Re:No Lacey for me she and her voice is what makes them so different from all of the other generic rock voice bands out there. Don't give up on her, watch her live, Dominator and reincarnation are good next songs, We are mv is also a banger. Best wishes from France
