I agree but the question to ask also is how did they become a bad seed. If you do a crime and it's proven then you deserve the consequences but the question is never asked how did she or others become the bad seed that they are. We don't know the story behind this girls life and her family only what's being portrayed before the world. How many parents defend their children and cuss the teacher out when they know their child(Children) are wrong instead of correcting them, how many videos have you seen on social media with parents video tapping their child being disrespectful to them and laughing about it and when someone says that's wrong everyone attacks the person who says it's wrong and lighten up the parent is just having fun and says the disrespect of the child is cute, I could go on and on with this. There is no accountability for the parents of these children but it's said they are not responsible. Well no they are not fully responsible because at a certain age you should know right from wrong even if you didn't learn it from your parents but your alot of these parents are also the result of this. Your child is a reflection of you whether you want to admit it or not. People commit behaviors based on what they have learned from the world around them and they also commit behavior based on what was inherited to them from their parents. This is why we have what is called generational curses it's even in the Bible. Ever heard of parents giving their children what they learned. If no one allows themselves to be healed the drama goes on and on and on. So we need to stop excuses these parents and not just for the children. If parents will not be afraid to admit they are flawed and messed up and get help then maybe there can be hope for their childhood becoming grown adults and ending up on this path.

I respect her mother to the fullest! I get so annoyed and angry when a defendants mom always tries to make their child out to be this all holy person when they have committed a horrific crime. I find it odd that there are many comments condemning this mother for confronting her daughter for the MURDER she committed.
There are those who actually believe that this lady should show "loyalty" to her daughter and remain silent.
More people in this girl's life should have called her on her b.s., maybe she wouldn't be facing a murder rap if they had.
The mother has obviously spent many hours lecturing this girl, trying to keep her on a straight path. That being unsuccessful, she is now giving her the "I told you so" portion of the lesson.
This is one of a few nightmare scenarios for EVERY parent. I just don't think this is coming from a place of hate, it seems more rooted in disgust.
If this woman knew her daughter was this unstable she could have gotten her help before this HORRIBLE TRAGIC incident occurred. Even if it was by force, that's her child. Before I see mine take a life, I'd have them committed or assigned to some form of therapy. And she should join her. If Thats what it takes to get to the root of whatever behavior problems my child was having, so be it. But to dog her child like that for good ole massa and the world to see is so ducking sad & hurtful you see. 😢I feel for the life she took RIH🕊🕊🕊. But the signs are always there. And someone could have helped them both. I don't even want to imagine who is going to raise their child.🙏

I believe the mother loves her daughter more than her daughter knows. Love isn't agreeing with your child when they are in the wrong. I know it took a lot for the mother to tell her daughter she was in the wrong and prison is what she deserves. I know that her mother tried time after time to get off the path she was on, her daughter turned a deaf ear to her words. Prison may be her only saving grace. The mom loves her daughter and I am sure this was the most difficult thing for her to do!
There's more to this, if the daughter as an adult cannot handle a break up. Then the daughter was never taught how to handle her emotions properly and critically thinking about making the best decision for her.

A mother can raise multiple children and they can all grow up to take different paths. That doesn't mean the mother did anything wrong necessarily. People choose their own paths. That girl could just be a "bad seed". I've been around evil. I know that it's just inherent in some people. My mother raised 4 children..2 of them have hearts of stone. They don't even have the same ways, but their ways are equally evil. They're both successful career wise, but it's like their hearts didn't fully develop or something.

I don’t get all these go momma go comments. This is very disturbing in more ways then one! The mother has nothing but disgust for her daughter. Being a parent isn’t easy a lot of the time but no matter what you love your child and even if you know what they did was horrible and wrong you would ask for mercy and try to get psychological help for your child because you love them unconditionally. All I see when I watch the mom speak to the judge is hate and disgust. You would hate what your child did and it would hurt beyond belief but to speak this way about your own child…… I completely understand why the daughter turned out this way. A home with no love or support and constant negativity. Even the uncle spoke about this. So sad the whole way around. Prayers sent to the victims family and most of all his child. 😭
