when the gopro connected to the remote is it gonna reduce the battery life significantly? coz I notice when you turn off the camera with the remote the wifi basically still connected

the remote is very capable but there is one HUGE problem with it, the visibility of the lcd display is absolutely and completely horrible. They need to fix this problem on the next version, maybe make display larger or l.e.d. instead, i don't know , or make it dual mode led/l.c.d. for low light conditions. The current lcd display is also hard to see even when its bright outside, really bad design. Everything else is great tho.

I am not exactly sure what you mean by "all" smart remotes, but the latest smart remotes will work down to the Hero 3 Cameras. I hope this helps.
