Your video should be advertised by Gopro because it's way better than their outdated PDF file (which is only up to Hero4).
I wish I had seen your video earlier, it would have saved me some time. Yet, it still helped me better understand the pairing of multiple cameras.
    I'm really grateful. Thank you!

Having successfully linked two gopro's with the new remote you can also view footage via your mobiles by controlling with the remote also change setting with app when not in recording mode(video), my situation is a windows phone for the hero 4 and iphone for hero 5, however, I can systematically view each image on the gopro's with my iphone via the app, it works most of the time, perhaps all of the time, but currently all set up for a multi camera shoot this weekend and don't want to mess things up checking it.

Very informative video. I just received a smart remote and I use it with a hero session, hero 4 silver, and a hero 7 black. I paired them all as per your instructions and it shows and controls all 3. My only issue is when I turn them off using the remote, when I go to turn them back on, only 2 of the 3 turn on, not the session. When I turn on the session manually it connects automatically and I can control it with the remote. Any suggestions?

You made it 4 years ago, so I don't know if you still read the comments :)
I´m starting a project and need about 20 cameras shooting at the same time. But the thing is that in this stage I cannot afford GoPros for now.
I'll have to buy more affordable cameras.
Do you think this remote can do the same. with other cameras that have wifi?
    Thanks a lot.

Hi Praven, I think the best ways are 1. If your pc has a micro sd slot you can put the micro sd cards in one at a time and transfer what pics you need to your pc. 2. Connect usb leads to the camera and the other side to the pc and transfer your pics of the camera and you do this will all 6 cameras. Hope this helps

Bro it will still connect outside with WiFi. It actually connects to your phone not the internet so there’s no issues. Hope this helps you. Got a lot of friends from Bolton

How do you delete one of the Cameras from the Remote?

Hi you can’t delete just 1 camera from the remote unless you do a factory reset then pair the camera again. But you should be ok because you can add up to 50 cameras to the remote. Hope this helps & thanks for watching 👍🏼

Scooby Rolla - I did a factory reset a few times. But, as soon as you turn on the remote, it connects and turns on the Cameras. In the end, I found the only way to do it was to delete it from the camera and that seems to work. So, I don’t know what you would have done if I sold the Camera beforehand. Try it on yours. Do a full reset and you’ll see that it connects to all the Cameras when you turn it back on

Yes all the cameras need their own micro sd cards to record footage so yes.

This remote is a P.I.A. It will not stay paired with the Hero 7 Black 80% of the time. Many people have experienced the same issue as I am. Ray
