When plugged in, the red light to turn on and the battery indicator displayed, but then that all went away and a WiFi wave pattern started to show. But nothing happened after being unplugged. You're not showing what the display looks like when it's working.

You just saved me from replacing my remote! For some reason the support page instructions were not working as they said to do them at the same time. Doing one then the other worked straight away! I am using the Hero7 Black, and was so worried I would have to replace the remote and now I dont!!!!!

I went through the pairing setup without any problems about two months ago. I've been using it approx. 5 times a week since with it only connecting 50% of the time......... Extremely aggravating. Looks like you're missing some steps. Is it supposed to be connected to power? Is the USB cable supposed to be inserted but not connected to power or the cable is not required?
Worked for me thanks plus I counted 10 for 2nd button like you did not 5 like you said. Plus for the 1st time my 5 and 7 both work each time I tested not happened before

Hi, bei mir hat das leider nicht geklappt, was aber bei mir funktioniert hat ist, wenn ich mehr Druck auf die Taste Einstellungen gegeben habe, dann ging es komischerweise wieder an, sobald ich losgelassen habe wieder aus. Ich habe dann alle 4 Gehäuse Schrauben fest angezogen und siehe da es hat funktioniert! Man kann auch mal das Gehäuse öffnen und schauen, ob die Kontakte unten wo das Ladekabel reinkommt, beide gleich hoch sind.

The problem with my remote is that it does not want to turn on. If I hook it up to charge a red light will blink and the remote shows battery level full and then goes into pairing mode. I'll press the red or stop and start record to cancel pairing and then it will show wifi signal. I will turn remote off and then a short time later (1-2 sec) the remote will start same thing again. It will not pair with it connected to charger and will not turn on when disconnected. What's wrong???

found another tip, used a q-tip and alcohol to clean the connectors on the remote and the points on the charger and that did it. but Thank you also...much appreciated
This was March of 2018. They still haven't fixed the problem. Bought a new one and plugged it in to fully charge. The charge light (red LED) flashed once, then no response. I left charging for 4 hours, did all the restarts, but it cannot restart if the battery isn't charge to begin with. DOA and then Customer Service at GoPro hassled me about wanting a return and refund. Had to ask for management level supervisor to get help. What a freeking pain. I will never buy a GoPro accessory like this again. They don't work.
@@DJPablotv you cannot "get use to it" . when it is DOA...I will never get use to expensive products being DOA... Is there no quality control or testing in the Phillipines before they ship it out..?
