I worked with a girl who had a Mexican accent but couldn't speak Spanish. She picked it up from her family.
His documents were issued 4 years apart but the picture is exactly the same 🤣
did you notice he was wearing the same shirt as in the documents photos? he propbably picked up the fake documents the day before
Any 7-year-old Australian citizen should be able to clearly pronounce:
1. Downer,
2. Darwin,
3. Dickson,
4. Lyneham high school
5. Ledger
6. Woolworths
Don't forget Ventura Bus and Metro 😊
You should hear the MENA immigrants in Sweden, who are given Swedish passports without any requirements or citizenship or language tests…
Coles as well😃
The last one’s a trick cus any Aussie would just say “Woolies”
@@MariaWerner-sf1ef yeah, not compared to a guy who claims who was born in australia and did all his schooling here.
This is alarming! In the Philippines there's alot of Chinese suddenly obtain Ph passport. They all have the same story if asked how they obtained their nationality
Why would Chinese want to get a phillipines passport which is a poor country with poor infrastructure? I just don’t get it! Australia USA Canada yes but for God sake Philippines is a poor country! Why would a Chinese want to go there
@danielli9569 The Philippines has the stratigic location!
@@danielli9569 Ask China why it wants to hold the Economic Zone of the Philippines, it means that they see some advantage like the stratigic location. Try to do some research kid.
Maybe political reason? Or maybe try to hide their money in foreign country
The Philippines is so corrupt immigration officials were selling permanent visas to Chinese for 40,000 usd
Same thing that is widely happening in the Philippines. Currently, the senate is investigating about an ELECTED Mayor (suspected Chinese) and were suspended due to her discovered false identity.
Communist China?
Lol, don't compare Australia to Philippines mate. If someone actually wants to join the Philippines. U should appreciate them. 😂
Wow, i dont see any comparison between the 2 countries in the statement. He simply comparing the situation because apparently someone who is a billionaire in the Philippines is under investigation because of her identity and why we should be grateful when they are making an illegal business. 🤓
@@SkywalkerXxX Appreciate what ? For being a fraud and doing illegal business in Philippines?
Atleast he didn't claimed to have lived in a farm like Alice hahaha 😅😅😅
Born in Darwin and speaks with distinct Chinese accent. Believable. Totally believable.
😂
Daolin in Northeastern China sounds about right
"I born in the Darwin"
Only 15 months in jail?? If you want to deter anybody in committing same crime, the sentencing time should be at least 10 years.
😂😂 that cigarette betrayed him, so funny
Alice Guo left the group.
This dude did not grow in a farm tho... And Alice has better Filipino accent than this dumb dude 😂
Hehehe
She's no where to be found. Where did she Guo?
Where did he get the guts to pretend he was from AU, the accent is not 1% close to native English speakers. What a shame 😅
Many, many people are born in Sweden to MENA parents and speak with such thick accents as adults that normal Swedish people can hardly understand them. I’m not defending the Chinese guy, but sadly in Sweden you don’t need to speak the language or pass any tests to become a citizen…
@@MariaWerner-sf1ef That's so interesting, and in that case, they can't claim Swedish as their native language if they can't speak in the standard way. If they spoke Arabic most of the time growing up, then that doesn't "count" either.
He could be born in Australia, raised in China and come back to Australia as an adult not knowing a lick of English and still be considered a citizen. You don't lose your Australian citizenship after you are born there.
@@MariaWerner-sf1ef it is proposed to be a law to pass the language test to become Swede
@@xpatzz It might happen years from now, but we already have 2.5 million immigrants (8 million local population, 4.5 million taxpayers) who got in and have their Swedish passports. A lot of them have lived on benefits all their lives, and many are criminals, ruining our country. It’s too late.
If your passport gets water damage, you can’t travel on it - you get a new one. It takes about three days in my country.
I like his confidence and outstanding intelligence of the Australian Border Force Officer.
Downer ... pronounces it Danga LOL
Wow I never knew people born in Australia speak like that 😂
Now you just found out...
Some other ppl also born in Australia only speak only Chinese. lol...
Well it can easily happen. You can be born in Australia then be raised abroad and come back and still be a citizen. It's not rocket science. As soon as you are born in Australia you have Australian citizenship for life, even if you can't speak a lick of English.
Look up Clinton Jane lol.
@@HeatherLewis213this is incorrect, Australian's citizenship law goes by the jus sanguinis concept, which meas that nationality is acquired by descent, just being born in Australia doesn't grant you citizenship, at least one of your parents has to be either an Australian citizen or a permanent resident for the citizenship to be granted.
Whatever race you are, you were born and grew up in a certain country then you must speak the language in a native way.
Not in Sweden. Iraqis, Kurds, Somalis etc etc speak horrible Swedish even after being born and spending 40 years in the country …
Tell that to the Latinos in America. They speak Spanish openly in America, at work, and at restaurants.
@@orman2222in Australia, i haven’t been to a single Thai restaurant where staff don’t speak Thai to each other.
In most cases yes. 99% of the time yes. But if you grow up in a ethnic enclave going to ethnic school just hanging out with your ethnic group speaking ethnic language your whole life. Then you can have a foreign accent but not quite. Not even half as severe as this guy.
@@SpencerLowe-kg4rg I was standing behind an older Chinese woman in the passport / ID queue at a bus terminal in Sweden once. She was showing her Swedish passport but couldn’t speak a word of Swedish, or answer any of the official’s questions
Good job to the customs and immigration office.
My friend was born in Canada, known her since I was 3 and up until we graduated high school she had the thickest Chinese accent. She only visited China once in all that time, yet her younger siblings had no accents at all.
He knows a good bit about north Canberra, like he lived there for a short time on another identity, maybe attending uni or something. Failed out, is now trying again with a new identity.
Aussies are too nice by giving them 3 years or less for the ban....lol...usa would be life ban...😂😂😂😂
Don't mean that he will get a visa after 3 years, funny he claimed he pay millions in tax LOL
@benjijarman The issue is it is difficult to black mark someone whom you don't know who he really is. In theory he could return the following day with his real chinese passport and be granted 3 months tourist visa.
Darryl gave two different stories for how his passport got wet. One his car window was smashed and broken into. The other he said he accidentally left his window down and it rained in the car. 😮😮😮😮😮. Also, how can they be sure his sister was actually his sister and not setup?
and i mean even if she was his sister she's definitely gonna know what her own brother looks like lol, how is describing what he looks like going to help 😂that phone call was pointless
And he clearly lied about the passport being his first ever passport and then immediately changed his story.
He's obviously prepped his sister with this ridiculous story. Hilarious that the geniuses in immigration believed this pile of pap. He's probably still here working as a scaffolder or something. Howdy 'daryl' haha
@@alexchan3287maybe he thought it was his first passport and the replacement one doesn’t count as the second since they will both have the same passport number
@@saneejagenuine question why do you say “I mean”, instead of just saying what you mean?
Seeing those mini cassette tapes and the old box computer brings back fond memories.
0:11 so he cannot distinguish Cairns and Darwin 😅😅
😂😂😂
Even Chinese naturalised to Australia via skilled migration program does’t speak English in this way😅
The officers has a very good skill for interviewing this fool. If it’s was me I told him u should be a shame of yourself u r citizens u can’t even spell your school name
They are professional immigration officers not involving personal/ emotional judgements.
There’s no way he 45. He should be placed in jail for 20 years!
This video looks quite old, just look at the computers and telephones they were using, must not be a recent interview😅
The video's from the 90's
2004 or 2005 I think
just because something was uploaded today, doesn't mean it's from today. Use some critical thinking and look at the computers etc in the background.
I lived in aussie for 7 years, went to college for a year, worked in an environement with 80% Asian. I moved back to my native country in 2015, to this day, I still speak english with a slight aussie accent.
A few decades ago a young lady from Nashville was the first Viet-American to win the national spelling bee, when she opened her mouth the most stereotypical Tennessee accent you can imagine flowed out. My brain locked for a second because my eyes and ears couldn't reconcile. Kids pick up the accent of their new language very quickly.
I feel this boarder officer! I used to work for the Government of a SEA country and omg... it was crazy how tf (and mostly) mainland chinese obtained birth certificates/passports (always newly issued) from the country. I even interviewed one and it was impossible, he didn't speak the country's language nor English. That's, of course, a red flag!
Let me guess that country....Singapore? Cause pretty sure that there tons of this mainlanders here living like kings and can't even speak or understand simple basic English but expect true-blood Singaporeans to be accustomed to their style and character. You tend to wonder how does these people can acquire the passport of this country if its not for their dirty $$.
This is hilarious he speaks English like someone who has been here for less than 3years.
"What's a vote...?"
On a lighter note, this video is from like the 1990's they are still using CRT monitors, white pages & tape recorders LOL
because those work good and dont have to replace every other year like modern tech
15. Dec. 2004🙈😅
Everybody knows Australia is 30 years behind the rest of the world.
2004 + 3 = 2007.
So since 2007, he has been allowed to visit Australia.
I hope they’ve wised up - but I doubt it.
About Darrell and his passport.
if a picture was switched, wouldn't Australian authorities had pictures of the person who originally requested the passport?.
Asking Darrell's sister or mother for verification is laughable!
He dealed with this situation very professionally; keep his calm and cross check with other departments to prove his fake identity.
I think that computer may be older than me....
This footage is from 2004
His voice is a dead giveaway 😂😂😂
Only Mister Lau had to do was to smoke that magic cigarette. The magic cigarette which has a power to make other people believe every lies he made. Hahaha 😂😂
Love how this officer picked his story apart so smoothly.
Obviously he's experienced at his job and does it well.
Ask the first guy what happened on 15th April 1989 in Tiananmen Square 😂
He was shopping in Woolworths before his two thirty dentist appointment
Also looking at his passport, most Chinese would have an English first name, Chinese middle name and Chinese Surname. He doesn't have any of that.
He's the Alice Guo version here in the Philippines.. Always "I don't/can't remember your honor" 😂😂😂😂
they might be related,😂😂😂
Yes, Alice Guo version
"Mr Lau, Mark, or whatever..." 💀
23:26 what is Dr Phill doing there?? 😂😅
I visited Australia from Canada and it wasn't very friendly at the Sydney airport. I get that the reason is because they get many scammers in the country.
Speaking as an Australian-American dual citizen, the worst border force I've ever dealt with is Canadian.
I’m a permanent Australian resident with a German passport. They have not once but twice when I was younger suspected my father of trafficking they questioned me in a room about weather he was really my dad ect I laughed at them so bad!
