Hydro-Hot…Low tank level switch failure.

The Hydro-Hot Boiler System. My favorite system on the motor home…except for the other 6 days a week when it doesn’t work. This time while working on another issue, we tackle getting the coolant level float switch changed out. Thanks sooo much to John Carrillo for his HUGE wealth of information and parts abundance for these finicky systems. Super cool dude to work with.

Alrighty then, I think you finally got all the gremlins out of that system! Lol. I need to flush and replace the boiler fluid in ours. It’s real dark and has some sludge too. You know I couldn’t find any videos on how to drain the heat exchangers. Your method sounds good to me. I might use tap water first then fill and run a tank full of distilled water through the unit before final fill with boiler fluid. Great video !

Welllllll…….No such luck. Since the making of the video…..boiler tank is now leaking. Working with John Carrillo on a fix but we have had no luck. Looks like replacement. $6400 for rebuilt and $8700 for brand new……😢

@@ALongLongWaytoGO Holy Moly say it isn’t so! Any idea where the leak started like a seam on the tank or just corroded through? They should be made of gold for the prices they want. Big job I’m sure but can you remove the tank and take it to a radiator shop to have it repaired?
