One Simple Trick to Fix AquaHot/HydroHot Boiler

  • Pardon my quick heavy breathing. This was merely on opportunity to show a fairly common issue with check valves on a RV hydronic heater or AquaHot. This setup had 3 zones for heating and only one of them was working. The zone circulating pumps were working but the hydronic solution could not get past the check valve into the zone loops.
Like every good mechanic, you hit it with a hammer.
Dont forget to service the unit annually:

Hi my name is Mike I just watched this video that you just did I have an aqua hot with a small radiator cap it was replaced 3 years ago the whole unit for a rebuilt but recently I've lost the electric side of my hot water heater and I was hoping in this video that you just did. That you would show removing the heating element and I'm assuming it was down in that electric box on the bottom left hand corner of the unit is that correct I still have diesel heat for my hot water that works fine Even though it's blowing a little bit of blue smoke. I haven't used it that much cuz I live here in Florida in my 40 ft beaver coach. If you could help me with a part number for this element for the heater hot water I'd appreciate it Mike Shelton really enjoyed your video

@@AZExpert Good news James! I’m pretty sure I finally found the water leak in my slide out!!!! The power cable for the 16’ awning motor is behind a plastic cover. Where the cable went into the slide out, is near where I was finding water. The original foam was pretty much gone. Filled it with silicone caulk.
Also, Schwintek slide out was pulling in and then motor would spin backward and allow the seals to push it out 1/8 to 3/16”. Talked to Lippert, must replace motor. Even though it works, needs replacement.
      Don’t work too hard James!
