As usual awesome bro 👌..... I have a doubt.... In DC, the conventional direction of the current flow is constant but in AC the direction of the current flow will be changing at a fixed interval based on the frequency. For example, in a 50Hz system 100 times per second direction must be changed. So we should realise the current in both phase and neutral terminals right? But why phase terminal is being considered as a main line and neutral as just a return path?
If my understanding is wrong, please correct me bro.... I should get a better understanding in this so please help me out... ☺️
That function only happen in closed circuit. Line terminal is the energy carrying conductor

I had a electrical problem today.
A light point did not work.
When I examined there was current in the phase wire. I bypassed the neutral wire with another wire. Its end glowed when tested and also glowed when attached to a neutral wire from another source. The bulb also did not glow.
Then I changed the phase wire with a new wire having the old neutral wire intact. The bulb glowed.
Please explain what went wrong.
My friend says the phase wire may be at fault either broken or may be touching some metal part. Is that so. I am yet to check the continuity of the discarded wire.
