I suppose I am somewhat against these new young musician celebrities; a pretty face not offering anything to interpretation, but these two are a massive outlier. This is one of the greatest interpretations I have heard.
These brothers are astounding in their interpretations of the piano repertoire for works for four hands- Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schubert, to Shostakovich and beyond. And as they mature, so do their interpretations of their repertoire. I know that it has been difficult for them to perform without live audiences, but I hope they know how much joy and appreciation that so many of us around the world have for them and their playing. I hope they see these words and are able to accept thanks from me and others who so love them and the musical artistry they are bringing into being. In addition I can truly imagine the delight Mozart would have had to hear and observe these delightful young men playing his music, on a full size Steinway concert grand piano, no less. Top of the line artist on top of the line pianos. Magnificent!
