Beatles - arguing in the studio below, go on the roof - no rehearsal, lousy little speakers, cold, and unknown to them - play their last live performance for the people walking below - wondering who the hell is making that music up there -

She said her father (I think - or maybe an uncle) was in the the group of police officers who were given the job of investigating the racket going on and have it closed down... He was meant to be in charge of the operation, but he later told her he'd NEVER run up a few flights of stairs more S-L-O-W-L-Y than he did that day, to the roof where they were playing.
Turns out he was a massive Beatles fan, and secretly wanted the performance to go on for as long as possible...!

When John sings « I’m in love for the first time » what he means is just that...he was married for 6 years. He’d had other girlfriends...and groupies but he was « in love » for the first time at 28 years old! And he was screaming it to the world. That’s why he keeps repeating « Don’t Let Me Down » because he wants to believe that this is the real thing.❤️

People always wonder why John wasn't a better husband to his wife Cynthia. Well, he never really wanted to get married to her. She got pregnant and he was obliged to. Then he was a young guy in a rock and roll band that was famous around the world and he was touring constantly. Not exactly conducive to a stable marriage. Then they wonder why he wasn't a better father to Julian. Well, he missed most of Julian's early years while constantly touring. Julian was born in 1963 and the Beatles toured through 1966. Then John also had no real father at all. He had no clue how to be a good father. With Yoko he didn't feel obliged to be married to her, he wanted to be married to her. So this song expresses his feelings for her. One more thing. Very few people understand that John and Yoko lost their son in late November 1968. Yoko had a miscarriage in her 6th month of pregnancy. She was due in February of 1969. They had to deal with their grief at his loss while this album was being recorded in January 1969.

OFF CAMERA: BILLY PRESTON ON ORGAN! Also, Peter Jackson must have done an amazing edit of John's line bc the reason The Beatles are laughing is bc in the ORIGINAL footage, John forgets his line and emits gibberish somewhat rhythmically, hence why Paul looks at him for the 2nd line that he's to harmonize with and this time John's back on track. It's the line before George Harrison bows down to laugh. ;)

They are going to release a film very few people have ever seen in its entirety. In fact, it's the recording sessions which include the rooftop performance you've just seen. Whole generations have grown up without new Beatle material, and we get to have a version of that experience when they release the film.
A bizarrely edited, vastly truncated version was half-released many years ago (this clip comes from that film) and then gone from public view until it re-emerged on VCR for ten minutes before disappearing again. However, this is an entirely new editing by Beatle fan (and Lord of The Rings director) Peter Jackson. There's a cool trailer for the film, now called Get Back, here on YT.
This is not a CGI fantasy, it's a casual, startling, fascinating-even-when-it's-boring-because-Beatles take 1, take 2, take 3 of songs that largely ended up on the last two Beatles albums and the first two solo albums by John and Paul.
And chance to hang with them jamming...

This was a love song from John to Yoko. He was head over heels in love in every way. Artistically, politically, emotionally, sexually -- the relationship was firing on all cylinders, and he'd never experienced anything like it before. He had been in love before, or at least thought he was (he was married to Cynthia for about six years), but none of it held a candle to what he felt for Yoko.

More early Beatles, so many: YOU'RE GONNA LOSE THAT GIRL, IF I FELL, THIS BOY, I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER, YOU'VE GOT TO HIDE YOUR LOVE AWAY, NO REPLY , I'LL BE BACK AGAIN ...I could go on and on...You MUST react to the trailer of the new Beatles movie coming out this summer. It's called: GET BACK...it is footage of them in the studio recording the album Let It Be in 1969.

1969, the Beatles are the most famous BAND all over the world known more than anything, they change all, here they play on the Apple record building roof, for a private concert, its seems like they enjoy to be toghether, but in reality its the end, John lennon start a New love relation with a japanese woman YOKO ONO. And it was the end of the most important band in our planet THE BEATLES.

That was not at all the whole song. 😮
Feeling some maternal pride here seeing you guys react to
    The Beatles. 😊💙
Their music discography is preserved in the Smithsonian Institute of World History. That's how important their contribution to the world is. From year to year they grew and changed so much, you wouldn't guess they were the same band the whole time.

You said "They're laughing" at 8:45
This is a "cleaned up" version. In the original, John forgot the lyrics and made up some gibberish on the spot.
Great reaction...you really seem to be enjoying.

    YES, it's sexual !
in the past sex was a real scale to compare girls.
It's actually a real compliment to a lover.
