Great video Cody! Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I want to apply for this card and start getting some stays at IHG properties. I've also heard good things concerning Holiday Inn so maybe they could be a nice option for those mid-tier stays, even though I'm trying to target higher stays like Kimptons and Intercontinentals. Sounds like you have a lot of personal experience so definitely showcase that so we can learn from you!
Holiday Inns are nice cause they’re very consistent, you basically know what you’re gonna get every time besides maybe some wear and tear. Kimptons, ICs, and even Indigos and Regents are great value for what you get, even cash prices. I’ve consistently noticed IHG hotels are some of the lowest priced hotels. I love Marriott but even their mid to lower tier properties like courtyards are more expensive than IHG hotels. I’ve seen some indigos and vocos cheaper than them. Thanks for watching Stan!
I love this card! I have a seven night stay at an IHG hotel in Brussels in about 10 days just using points and no cash. Plus the platinum elite status is great.
Nice that 4th night free is definitely helpful too! I’ve actually looked into IHG properties in Brussels and was interested in the hotel indigo, looks cool. Thanks for watching!
Love the break-down here Cody! Seems like there are a lot of great options to choose from when it comes to IHG Properties and maximizing the Free Night Award, plus other benefits like IHG Platinum Elite Status & that United Travel Bank Credit. The IHG Premier (personal & business) are both on my list and Hotel CC roadmap for over the next year or so. The 4th Night Free Benefit I think will be a huge plus for me for some of those shorter stays.
Thanks Matt! I’ll likely try and get the business version whenever the next elevated offer comes around. The free night, platinum status, and 4th night free are too good to pass up!
Good video. For me, I pretty much always use my points for 4 night stays. That boosts the value of the points. For me, I value them at .8ccp, which makes this a pretty good all around card
This is a solid card dude. Good video! Being able to top off the FNA with any amount of points is legit (if I heard you right) and good point about the much more usable 4th night free vs 5th night from others. This may move up the list..
Thanks man! And yep you can top off the FNA with any points so it’s basically just a free 40k. The perks are more versatile compared to other programs, I’ll probably get the business version!
Yeah the elevated bonus just ended so it’s back to the standard 140k which still isn’t bad. The free night does expire after 12 months so you do need to use it every year. Thanks for watching!
I hope to earn around 500k IHG points this year through a sign up bonus and living in an extended stay for 6 months. My redemption goal, especially considering 4th night free, is 1cpp. Ive seen crazy edge cases up to 6cpp, but my goal js 1-1.5cpp for a stay.
That’s awesome! 500k points is no joke, can visit some insane hotels with that. With 4th night free, 1-1.5cpp is definitely a great redemption. 6cpp sounds wild tho!

Thanks for watching! If you consistently stay 4 nights, it’s definitely easy to get .8+ cpp which is fantastic value

Solid points for why this card is underrated. Sounds like I’ve been sleeping on this one. Thanks!
Definitely a sleeper card that deserves more love!
Nice video, card is underrated as i have the card myself. Great value for mid to high end properties for ihg
Thank you! Definitely can get some great value with this card
My IHG card is $49 annually. Grandfatherd in when I first got it 5 years ago
Wow that sounds amazing! I’m jealous
@@Cody.Little yeah, $49 with Platinum Status and free night certificate yearly...Definitely a keeper card
Nice, thanks! Right now, the sign-up bonus is only 140,000. What happens if you don't use the yearly one-free night? Does it expire? Thanks

Bro! The Intercontinental in Singapore is looking amazing! But yes IHG Business card Cody.
ICs are usually underrated for the price!

Slight correction. More than once you say the $20,000 annual spend gets cash OR points when it is really cash AND points.
Good catch, definitely says and! Guess I only want one or the other for some reason 😂
