That's nuts! that looks just like my old jeep. black body, black rims. for a second there i thought someone got a vid of my drivin some trails... very nice
Cool to see some OG scale rigs, before the SCX10 hit the market and made scalers a dime a dozen. Don't get me wrong, love the SCX10s, have one myself, I just appreciate the hard work that went in to making the scalers from scratch. Nice Job!
Nice scale model. I have an 89 cherokee and I want a scale that looks just like mine to just play around with when the wife doesn't want to go offroading. Nice jeep
@MrNHLMan of course but keep in mind. they are geared really low. the WHOLE POINT of this aspect of the hobby is realistic off road driving. these trucks can do things your normal RC car CAN NOT DO and or at speeds slow enough that you can actually ENJOY watching it do it.
the whining exhaust is cool and all but i recommend gettin a magna flow sound display from the parts story display and wiring it where it will rev accordingly to the throttle usage
You did a real nice job with the driving.. an a even better drive with the camera work... OTHERS.. please take note.. Music:Appropriate Video: Clear an entertaining... I like how u did this bro.. I've seriously watched a hundred plus video's in the last 3 days.. trying to get a idea on how i wanna make one.. an this is PROPER from start to finish.
The truck is an Axial SCX10 - the body, i have no idea where he got the body. The axial can be bought RTR or not, in which case you need to contribute your own running hardware. There exist a lot of Scale 4x4 forums out there that can answer more questions for you.
@deacon9260 By straight six standard. - 300k is childs play 500k is NOT uncommon with a vaguely cared for engine. so 119k is just getting broken in when your talking about the I6 :-)
@nerys71 496k?! I bet its the stock motor with only major repairs being the oil changed. Haha gotta love those 4.0's. Have an 89 Cherokee myself, love the damn thing.
Great video!! I thought it was real for the first couple seconds..... I was admiring the tail light guards and bumper! -- Would you tell me where you got it? I'm in the US.
inspired43, this is no toy. You will not find this in any dept. or toy store. These trucks are usually in a kit form, then highly modified. Sometimes they utilize bodies from toy r/c's, but that's it. The ones built for high speed, can break your leg if it crashes into you. You should get one, scale trucks and rock crawlers are very relaxing. . .
Ive got a chopped 87 2door that breaks off and on...this would be a cool hobby and much cheaper! :D nice jeep, can you actually buy upgraded lift kits for these? long arms, etc?
@bigjohnsonc05 well 485k on the original stock motor. 200k prior I sucked mudd into the crank while wheeling. it leaked from EVERYWHERE :-) I could fully lube a trailer just by towing it around the block :-) eventually I took a motor out of a rusty cherokee I got on ebay (but with a near virgin engine at 119k) and put it in my jeep. Still going strong. Does not get driven much lately Ethanol killed the fuel econ and I just can't afford to drive it. will never get rid of it though :-) its my baby
@nerys71 ahhh Victory is mine. Not as delicious as I had hoped. he was rather easy :-) and not very filling either. - "I WILL" get me one of those RC Cherokee's one of these days. I even have an extra can of OEM paint to make it match my cherokee. Dark Baltic Blue Metallic. Though I have always wanted to paint my cherokee Land Rover AA Yellow. saw one once done like that. WOW.
where can u buy one of those i never seen a realistic jeep like that b 4 i've seen ford high lift but nothing like that nice vid too keep up the good work
@jcbringas67 check out radio shack thay carry this body and some other rc stuff, the stuff thay have is TOY grade but you can use the bodies on a better chassie like the axial scx10 i think this is a body made by New Bright, also try different hobby stores to see whats in stock
@BR00SKIES ok I stretched it a LITTLE BIT. at 485,000 miles I pulled the engine and put in my new donor engine (119,000 miles on that one) so I have 130,000 miles on the new engine and 496,000 miles on the cherokee itself. My commute is 120 miles round trip 5+ days a week for 10+ years. do the math.
Jeep: I'm not stuck, I'm taking a break. I wonder if there is a ZJ RC body... i've been thinking of getting into this kind of stuff but I'd want to build a ZJ to match my own
please do tell where you got the body? I have an 88 cherokee. My baby has 496,000 miles on it and I get it muddy :-) would LOVE to have an RC model of it but have never found an XJ body !!!
@dham99 Hey man. You can do anything you want to wth these kits.Your local hobby store will have an scx10 you could use for about 300 and proline makes a 92 jeep cherokee body for around 30 bucks. Your LHC will give more info then youll need. Take it easy. Hope this helped.
Some of the nicest and most realistic scale R/C offroading I have seen. Very well done!
RC Pablo, your XJ Cherokee videos is what inspired me to try RC scale trucks.
Some people cant even film a REAL jeep offroading that good! Awesome video
That's nuts! that looks just like my old jeep. black body, black rims. for a second there i thought someone got a vid of my drivin some trails... very nice

This is by far the greatest thing I've ever seen on TH-cam haha. Favorited!

You did a real nice job with the driving.. an a even better drive with the camera work... OTHERS.. please take note.. Music:Appropriate Video: Clear an entertaining... I like how u did this bro.. i usually hate RC videos but this is way too cool awsome vid man and cool song

@deacon9260 By straight six standard. - 300k is childs play 500k is NOT uncommon with a vaguely cared for engine. so 119k is just getting broken in when your talking about the I6 :-)
