- Tom Cruise is taking to the skies for his latest Hollywood milestone! The A-lister won Best Performance in a Movie honors for his role in "Top Gun: Maverick" at the MTV Movie and TV Awards on Sunday night and proved art really does imitate life in his mid-air acceptance speech. Tom thanked fans while piloting a jet in a pre-recorded segment and displayed his popcorn statue in the cockpit with him before making a daring exit.

A jet aircraft requires a jet engine, this is a propellar driven P51 Mustang, one of the most iconic planes of WW2, up there with the Spitfire.

The credentials and recognition have been overlooked once again on a masterpiece. Even the best song in a movie got looked over with lady Gaga's perfectly written song for the movie.
