Conan's channel is actually quite unpredictable. Some of the hyped videos fail to live up to the excitement, while some unexpected ones really go on to break the internet. I mean the most viewed video on this channel is of a rock band, that I don't think many people even heard of, singing a cover of The Sound of Silence. Go figure.

Kai223noa they probably didn't allow him to. I mean, it's not a blockbuster movie with high budget, it's a small video. If anything would happen to Tom, Conan would be at fault, so it's easier for them to just use a stuntman.

Funny thing is, while this IS a funny skit, it could actually come off as scary at moments if the laugh track was replaced with some minimalist, eerie music.

I like how Tom cruise will jump out of an airplane doing his own stunts in movies but they had to get a stunt guy for him to jump out of a car.
He had his ankle broken from that MI6 stunt as they were filming this.

He actually had his personal stunt double sign a contract where he gets paid to deny being his stunt double.
He makes sure a 50 million dollar check is waiting at the end of that jump, thats why
This was done for Conan's company and not Tom's. It would have been up to the insurance and safety people of Conan's company to decide if Tom did the stunt. Not Tom. In M:I he was the producer and he was in charge and could decide if he was going to do the stunt or not.

He gets plenty of credit for his great acting in Born on the 4th of July, Eyes Wide Shut, Magnolia, Interview With the Vampire, Rain Man, Jerry McGuire, A Few Good Men, Vanilla Sky, The Firm, The Color of Money, Cocktail, Risky Business, etc. As well as being one of the greatest action stars of all time.
