I don't know, I thought they were pretty easy compared to Matador tbh. I also over prepared for Thor, but I found it to be a cake walk if you just use Sukukaja/Sukunda
Funnily enough, I beat them with the same exact team I used for Matador first time. I had forgotten to prepare before hand because I thought there was gonna be a Terminal inside. I had to check my difficulty after because I was so shocked but it was Normal the whole time. The key to beating them was spamming the evasion debuffs I used on Matador, ESPECIALLY Fog Breath. Strat was so good, it’s even how I beat Daisojou first try and Raidou third try. (I am also new to Nocturne)
I got vibe checked by this game recently after play the much easier smtV (the original V not vengeance). I’m quite far into my first NG+ (around the time where you can fight the trumpeter) and i was grinding in the 3rd kalpa to not get obliterated by said fiend’s famous insta kill.
As it turns out 1 point of vitality prob would have made the difference in this moment. I aint no speedrunner though so I wouldn't know the optimal amount despite having played the game before lol

Everyone gets hung up on Matador, but the prison fights are underrated as a brick wall for new players.
Its also pretty annoying the cutscenes you have to go through each time you die in the prison

The issue here is you didn't upgrade your Vitality enough or weren't topped. Git gud xd
