    Thank you for your great video. I'll come up to you soon with questions if you don't mind. I bought myself now a pair of sai with the right length. Each one weight 740gramm. Metal ones but with an octa "saki", so a training variation. You motivate me to train with them. Thx a lot. I enjoy!

    saiを適切に使用すると、ナイフやマチェーテを持っている攻撃者をかわすことができます。または、攻撃者が銃を持っている場合、saiのユーザーは射手の腕をブロックし、おそらく何らかの武道を使用してそれらを押さえることができます。 。
    それは私の考えです。

    You have motivated me to buy a pair of sais to train with them. I bought them yesterday and I am waiting for them to arrive. The most educational part of the video for me was where you showed how to block properly with the sais so that your arm doesn't get hurt and picking the right length. At least from my perspective, I had no ideas sais were this versatile! Great information.

    When you take karate and your Sensei gives you a pair of sais because you want to learn and then nobody teaches you so you have to watch videos online on how to learn XD (not that I know form personal experience or something XD)

    Sir if the saki of the sai is sharp, that weapon can be deadly? since in the movies and comics the saki is sharp. i guess the saki was made blunt so it would not be lethal

    • @KohjiKatoh
      @KohjiKatoh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, if it's sharp, It can be deadly.
      But you know what? Sai in Ryukyu, ancient Okinawa, had blunt saki because they were used by Ufuchiku (like police).
      Their purpose was not to kill somebody but to arrest.

    • @DonDon-ou7jt
      @DonDon-ou7jt 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agee@@KohjiKatoh if the SAi is sharp, it would not be a peace keeping weapon, it will be a killing weapon. its like replacing live bullets with rubber bullets to avoid lethal confrontations. But if used by Ninja in ancient times, is it sharpened?

    • @KohjiKatoh
      @KohjiKatoh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DonDon-ou7jt Ninja didn't use Sai.
      People misunderstood about Ninja because of films and comics.

      @@KohjiKatoh do you mean its only in the comics and movies ninjas use kobudo weapons? in real life they dont use it? so does it mean peopl who makes comics and.movies just made that up, without knowledge of martial arts?

    • @KohjiKatoh
      @KohjiKatoh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@DonDon-ou7jt Ninja never used weapons like Sai, Nunchaku, Tonfa, and so on.
      The images of Ninja are misunderstood so much.
      People make films and comics with their images.
      If you study the history of Ninja, you know what I mean.
