    I've had my Logitech yoke for four years now and I've been thinking of replacing it. It still works well, but flaring the A2A Comanche with it is difficult. A2A have their own sensitivity settings, so maybe I need to fine tune this. Whatever the case, I am very much interested in the setup video you will be posting. Who knows, maybe I'll rediscover my old friend! And I'll surely have a look at the panels! Tx for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences!

    Mine is 10+ years old and looks exactly like this one. It is still working perfectly. I was sort of waiting for it to break and I was going to go with the Honeycomb Alpha-Bravo-Charlie setup...but it has just kept going and going. I have a big investment in the Logitech options with two throttle quadrants, rudder pedals, multi-panel, switch panel and radio panel now.

    WARNING - The Logitech flight yoke system is not compatible with X-Plane 12. I can forward the email from Logitech that says so, to anyone who asks. Logitech blames X-Plane, and X-Plane won't even discuss the issue.

      @@StreagleEagle I don't know. The elevator and aileron controls work, but the throttle system doesn't work with X-Plane 12. I don't know why something would work with an older software version and not with a newer version.

    I much prefer the CH Products yoke even though it is more poorly constructed. As a longtime real world pilot I hated the strong centering spring in pitch.on the Logitech. It felt very unrealistic. This makes trimming in pitch very difficult. I also have a Honeycomb and a Yoko and they do not have the detent like the CH Products yoke. For $150 CH offers a more realistic feel. Smart people will wait and save a few more bucks for the Honeycomb Alpha.

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for commenting, I find your own videos very informative.
      I never had the pleasure of trying the CH Yoke, but I can confirm that the Honeycomb XPC yoke is well ahead of the competition in terms of precision and handling.

    • @rbarlow
      @rbarlow ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Huddison I enjoy your content as well. The Saitek yoke was my first yoke when I started simming and almost gave up because if trimmed in the landing flare when minute forces are needed to hold off the airplane as speed decreases that centering spring made it almost impossible to do right. Then at AirVenture Oshkosh A2A had a booth with a CH yoke to demo their planes and it flew like a real airplane. I continued simming. Unfortunately the same guy who designed the Saitek (Logitech) yoke also designed the Turtle Beach yoke and it has the same strong centering detent. I spoke with the CEO about it and they may have fixed it but my early version had the issue. I guess you can get used to it but for real life pilots it isn’t natural feeling.

      I just bought a logitech set, but for younger people like me it is a smart option since you can get a whole set (yoke, rudder throttle) for the same price as just a honeycomb yoke. Even though i would like a honeycomb yoke because it is just better, im more worried about saving up for flight school etc, same with a few other people

    I still have mine, but it's now retired to its box as I went with a Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo setup. I just added the Thrustmaster TPR pedals. The cherry on the cake. But nothing wrong with the Logitech Yoke. A workhorse, built like a tank. I have 8 of their FIP's, 2 x Radio stacks, multipanel, and switch panel. All great gear. I now have it all working together in a dedicated Velocity flight panel.
