Great review, I picked up one of these about a month ago and I absoltley love this thing. My son brought my Honeycomb Yoke and I have been blown away at how precise this thing is. I do have the Airbus side stick but I prefer flyng the Fenix with this. I have been tweaking the sensitivity curves after I came across a video by EasyJet Sim Pilot, if you haven't already try dropping the sensitivity of the pitch and roll axis to -50%. i found it makes a huge difference in how precise the Fenix now feels. You can also leave that curve on Zero and put the extreamity deazone to 50%. Doing this you do lose a little max control authority but being it is still linear it is super smooth and precise. I will probably stick with this method. I now find myself hand flying SIDS & STARS and there is far more fine control on final approach. It was a game chamger for me. In the past I had dabbled with these curves but never taken them this far.

I got mine for coming on a year now I think and had issues with it not long after getting it. Messages Thrustmaster and sent it over to them and they had it fixed in about three days and it’s been perfect ever since. Such a great tool for practicing in the sim at home and I can’t praise Thrustmasters customer support enough

Fair play to them, that’s awesome to hear. I never hold it against a company if something goes wrong, so long as they deal with it properly

Transition to Yoke is quite a unique experience and can only be done once. Almost 10 years ago I have my first touch on saitek yoke at school and it took me quite few flight to get used to , then went back on my own stick for another few years, but when I start my simulator drill on 737, it surprised me how easy this time it have been.
And same thing for left/right said hand transition, once you got it, you got it, transition back after years is not a problem.
I still use a side stick on my home setup, A solid metal mechanical VKB gunfighter works fine for me even when flying Boeings, while my desk have no place to mount a yoke anyway.

@@AirNOTT I know this is a month old and you might have gotten caught up on the situation by now. But basically the founder has been getting screwed by his ex partner, he owns the company that “owns” Honeycomb. Snakebyte owns the domain and all the backend, but Nicki apparently owns all of the trademarks and designs. So there’s been a lot of back and forth between the two about who actually owns the company. If it goes back to Nicki, I would definitely consider Honeycomb again. But if Snakebyte takes full control, I wouldn’t bother with how poorly they’ve handled the business over the last year or two.

My home built sim is based on the a320, and mimics it very closely. With that, Ive still been considering the boeing yoke for use with pmdg and the inibuilds a300.

Its a great yoke, very sturdy and confortable but I had to send mine back for repair after a few months of use with a glitch in the roll sensors. It's now fixed and working great but I hope they review they wiring and electronics in future productions to make justice to an otherwise great piece of hardware.

It's great for pitch control since roll and pitch inputs are segregated. However, I the HC Alpha has a few other advantages, being higher quality materials and switch gear and a flat top to put a keyboard on.

Great review! I would really like to buy this, I currently have the Airbus TCA Captain pack with the flap and spoiler additions and the sidestick, and I fly the 738 and A320/N pretty equally so I do use the sidestick in the 738 and 789. I agree with you, it does feel 'wrong' and I love the fact this yoke offers the pedular feel and experience but the price has always been the tricky part for me, it's a hefty price tag and up to this point I've prioritised spending of rudder pedals and PC upgrades, but one day I think I will be biting the bullet (maybe the triple will be enough to convice me!).

Good review, thanks, am considering this product and currently own the Honeycomb yoke, also I mostly fly GA aircraft and the Honeycomb yoke does suffer from stiction while pushing and pulling, even though I've modded it with suitable grease, but this design even meant for airliners ... perhaps would be smoother for GA Aircraft too???? Just learning to adapt??
Own a couple of PDMG Airliners for FS2020 and interested in more, but mainly a GA flyer for FS2020 and X-Plane, ETC.
Also and quite importantly, bought an X-Box Series X on a whim recently and installed FS2020 on it, this yoke would be ideal it seems.
I do fly other types and inc military DCS ETC, but well served there already :)

I love the yoke unfortunately I had a issue out the box with one of the TCA Boeing Quadrant Axis it was loose(the physical handle) and calibration was annoying even resorting to me trying FSUIPC7 to no avail(can’t figure it out) called thrustmaster to report the issue and now I’m going to get a new quadrant(they almost sent another yoke😂) so I’ll have 2 yaaay I can run the 2 throttle speed brake flaps setups. As for the yoke I love it but I don’t have rudder pedals yet 🤞 so I had to bind my rudder to the joystick on the right it’s not bad but imagine a cross wind landing and I still have to activate reverse thrust😂 Still I love the combo and can’t wait for the pedals
