      Ukraine is a restless, anarchic, irrational nation. Such is Ukrainian national mentality. This is why after 30 years of independence, once the richest & the most developed part of the USSR rolled down to chaos & misery, & became the poorest nation of Europe. Yelling "Glory to Ukraine!" is not a good substitute for a good life.

    • @olegpetrov9919
      @olegpetrov9919 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@shahirani4762 Rubbish. There was no meddling from Russia before the recent events. All "the overthrown governments" were organized by the West, not by Russia (learn the History better). Ukraine got independent in 1991, and the recent problems with Russia came in 2014 after the pro-western coup-de-tout. In between, Ukraine had all kinds of presidents, starting with Kravchuk, the former Soviet Communist functioner, to the nationalists like Kuchma & Yushchenko. They all were corrupt & worked hard to break economy ties with Russia and enrich themselves by selling out the industrial & military assets they got from the USSR.

    The reason why this protest was up because AVAKOV gave order for police to get Aleksandr Belyu (one of key leaders of Right Sector) and in the end police KILLED HIM. They said they would pay back and now they want them to leave (Avakov the minister) 2 Days ago Rada made a commision which would let a few people from Right Sector and Media watch how investigation goes.
    And now about protest's they are still going on because in 2004 when people left Maidan everything became as always. Rada started to work just like as usual and nothing happened. Today it goes a bit better but some laws which go to fight corruption are being voted NO mostly by Communist and Party of Yanukovich. Those bastard's still vote NO for anti corruption law's. And there are rumor's that you for a million dollar's can buy a seat in Rada etc. That's why people aren't leaving. And today main candidat's to get power is Poroshenko(24.3%) and Tymoshenko (8.2%). david maltais The US and EU are backing the rights of an independent nation to govern it's citizens and remain sovereign. What Putin did was violate the sovereignty of an independent nation under the guise of "bringing order". The US and EU saw through that and they want Putin out of Crimea just as much as these protesters. These protesters aren't Neo-Nazis, they are the soul of a nation that has come under fire, and their government isn't doing shit about it.
      I can understand where there government is coming from too; they don't want to start world war 3, but they can't just sit on their asses and do nothing while their country is being invaded. They need to take action or Russia will trample all over them.

      scpmr The name Kyiv is derived from the name of Kyi, one of four legendary founders of the city (brothers Kyi, Shchek, Khoryv and sister Lybid’). It's Kyiv for the United Nations: www.un.org/Depts/Cartographic/map/profile/ukraine.pdf and it's Kyv for Microsoft: kyiv.of-cour.se/2012/09/15/microsoft-windows-8-kyiv/ and many others who probably know English much better than you do.

      Ukraine and russia were tied together for centuries, before Soviet Union Ukraine and Russia were same country for almost 300 years. Soviet Union constitution made Ukraine a republic, that in case of separation from URSS would become an independent country. in 1991 when Ukraine separated it was more powerful than the rest of Soviet Union (including Russia). Look at us now and look at Russia. Historically every time Ukraine was separated from Russia it was conquered by west (Like right now). My grand fathers spent their lives politically and physically (WW2) fighting these neo nazis groups that came to power today for the US money. Our country is divided and in chaos, thanks to you.

    It's amusing where all there protesters keep saying they're willing to fight...where were they when the Russians rolled into the Crimean peninsula? Personally I think what Russia did was wrong, but as a former US soldier that has watched 2 generations of our youth being committed to king making and Government building since I got out, I am tired of our kids being committed to wars overseas.
    I don't think the Ukraine would stand a chance either, the Russian forces are alot different than when they rolled into Chechnya when Boris Yeltsin was president.
    I honestly and truthfully wish the Ukraine luck and no more threats on their sovereignty, but not at our expense. ....and BTW, the Neo Nazis/Nationalist were already there, they were just waiting.

    • @v4rmru171
      @v4rmru171 10 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Majority of Crimea is Pro-Russia so there wasn't much resistance. Russians closed off the borders to prevents the radicals from coming in since the radicals are from the west but currently camp out in Kyiv. Russian local forces then took over the military bases and gave the Ukrainian marines a choice to stay or go.

    • @ott1887
      @ott1887 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      v4rmru171 No arguement here, the majority are Russian anyways by way if the mass population shifts that was so emblematic of the Soviet era, Just like Stalin shipping off the whole populace of Chechnya, he also shifted populations around to minimize nationalism, and there is huge pockets of Russians virtually in every older 'SSRs, bedsides the fact of smaller break away nations also looking towards Russia for their very survival (S. Ossetia, Etc)

      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_weapons_and_Ukraine please do your research, nobody wants blood but false promises and trickery is what the USA is good at. Russia just broke the Budapest Memorandum and as for Britain they have their own little bubble and have lost their standing.

    • @ott1887
      @ott1887 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yevgeniy Riley Im not saying the Russians are right, or wrong, if the US had a massive fleet just south of us in Mexico, do you think for a minute it would be in our interest to stand aside?....no, they have every right by treatise to protect their interest, additionally the Ukraine still holds a sizable nuclear arsenal....the "Pro Russian" populace is just a legacy of the Soviet era, Stalin virtually moved whole populations around the USSR to keep the majority to a minimum with a sizable Russian minority. South Ossetia, Ingustia ...there will be a Russian legacy in that part of the world for a very long time, The Bear IS the legacy of the eastern slavic base.
      The US is just being hypocritical also, we have spent nearly 30 years since I left the military jumping into brush wars virtually everywhere in the world, we have played King Makers in Afghanistan and Iraq, government building as an aside, dictated foriegn policy by use of force ever since the early 90s...we have no right to talk.

      What you're witnessing is democracy at it's finest and worst. All works of life and society have a voice. On the other hand the far right/radical elements often tend to be more organized than the more "normal" ones. That is democracy's biggest weakness. Great ideas but lack of means/knowledge to broadcast/deliver them properly.

      Mertaranta That my friend that is where books like the crowd come in handy. The main core of this protest was not a Crimea problem. People are gathered because few days ago Sashko Biliy (Сашко Білий) aka Oleksandr Muzychko, the member of Right Sektor, was killed in very strange situation. Officially minister Avakov told that Sashko was armed, and it was the special operation to arrest him and then he shoot first, then was wounded and then accidentally killed himself (there is still no any real proof of this).
    The second version is that minister Avakov just send his people to kill Sashko Biliy. There is a very mood video from cctv cameras (its almost nothing can be seen there), report from the local police officers who don't know about this special operation, and the body found with 2 shoots in heart.
    So one part of society start to thinking that Avakow works against the Ukraine, and kill the people with illegal methods or try to provoke a public mess and destabilization (btw when Maydan vote for new temporary government most of the people were not agree with his candidature as minister, but the government is pressed his candidature to people). And the second part of people start to thinking that the Sashko Biliy was real crime (he liked to walk everywhere with his AK-47 last time) and the Right Sektor works against the Ukraine and try to provoke mess and destabilization to take a reason for Putin's army occupy the rest of the Ukraine.
    Next day after this crowd protest the special official public+government consequence group was organized. The results and all the process will be publicity known at Tuesday.
