You guys are rocking out & keeping it real... one if the few travelling You tubers that are actually doing this. You don't portray it to be what it's not. Love that you are doing these renovations on your retreat. We are ex retreat owners. Love how you keep your private lives to yourselves & you show us what happens when things go wrong with your van. You get our vote as best You Tubers at present! Things have come a long way since the 1980's when we did our first lap in a V8 HZ Kingswood & a 16ft franklin Caravan... Back then you didn't need to to have the best & biggest of everything. Keep on keeping it real guys. Well done!

Great progress. Glad I have a composite caravan but interesting to see how the timber framed ones are made.
Composite are definitely the way to go!
This is great to watch, but i don't understand why the negative comments on timber frame caravans, like all things we build you must maintain standards and have preventative maintenance and in doing so enjoy what you create, good on you guys for sharing your experiences.

Like most, I tend to over build with projects, adding unnecessary weight, etc. I really like that you show the "mundane" which is really helping me with my current van modifications. As someone who has renovated a van! You're so lucky it just stopped not far from the front of the van with the damage.. we just finished the exterior reno and we re panelled the whole roof and exterior side walls too! Was a job and a half.. cant wait to see how yours finishes up!!

Just buy a bucket of black box wipes you will never have a problem with cleaning up sika products or silicone based products. Much loved friend in the vehicle building industry

Coming along nicely guys I’m thinking your front boot doors will determine what size toolbox and where you can mount it closer to the van or closer to the hitch on the a frame

Good that your sealing it but I would of gone a 2 part epoxy timber preserver- I'm a boat builder trust me the stuff will never let moisture in. But in saying that it's looking great good on ya for giving it a crack

Glue on the ends would hold enough, it would need to be doweled or dove tailed etc for the glue to work

Firstly I'm loving your videos and your rebuild, These videos are just what I needed as I'm about to do the same thing and never done this before ( I've done house Reno's), so your videos are perfect and the only type I could find. So Thank you.
P.s. Also wondering what size staples are you finding works the best ??

I would paint all the timber with west system 2 pack Apoxy it will water proof all the timber incase off further leeks and stop the bare timber soaking up moisture , it's used on boats bloody expensive but the bees knee's , I bet the female viewers are excited seeing you warein that tool kit 😂

I love your videos but recently the audio seems to have changed. I am deaf in one ear and use one earphone in my "good" to listen to videos. I am now only hearing one of you speak. Please go back to your previous audio setup.
Must be our mic set up, we need them as the shed is very big and has an echo 👍🏻
It seems as though they are on different channels. If I swap ear pieces I get the other mic. I have never had this issue before.
