Well done guys it has been really enjoyable to be part of this renovation with you.
Erin you have kept everything together and lighthearted throughout this project even when things didn’t go actually to plan.
Alex, well done mate you have soldiered through all the challenges of renovating.
Continued safe travels and yes l would like to see more of these type of projects. 😅
Thank you so much!! 😊
Go Erin...!!! I love your vids....
🙌🏼
Your little BBQ slide in slide out compartment is awesome can't wait for some bbq cooking segments.👍👍👍
"Fluff In Your Forehead Crack." That's a great name for a band. 🤪😜😛 Great job in getting things finished. I'm looking forward to seeing Bertha on the road again, but I enjoy watching the renos as well. 🙂
Thanks mate!
Just do what you guys
And he use to build caravans 🤪😘
😆
Enjoy your holiday. It will be better using the new things and fixes you have done to your caravan. What an achievement! Well done.
Thanks!
For a caravan builder you 2 are doing a magnificent job. Loving the work, hope it all works well when you get to go away.
Thank you!
Looked forward to these Reno videos really enjoyed watching these, you guys are hilarious and keep us entertained, look forward to more Reno and seeing more of your travels
Thanks so much!
Great Job , fun episode as usual and a can do attitude 😊
Thank so much! 🙌🏼
Yes to a reno vlog!! It's very entertaining watching something I know i could never do. Happy travelsin the new i proved Bertha
Thanks!
👏👏👏 well done 😊
Thanks!
🍺🍺 Happy Father’s Day 🍺🍺👍😃🦘🦘🦘
Thank you!
Good Job Alex. Something to consider - putting 2 sliders on each side of bbq 1 is upside and pop riveted to the outer slider. Means you can extend twice as far without long sliders. Done it to mine and bbq is 500 mm off the van. I then drop a chopping board in - done all the hard tracks and still works a treat. We crossed tracks @ Kununurra when u had the JB👍
That’s a great idea! Cheers!
It won’t be long Erin and you to could say you used to build a caravan!
We had a Truma Aventa and loved it, never had an issue and it was excellent on power usage when off grid
😂😂
So Erin wins the bolt guess mate as you went 14 which is over and closest without going over wins 😂
Yep I honestly don’t know how neither of us picked that up!! 😂🥴
@@nowornever_aus lol as another north side brisbainian love the videos guys the wife and I love our van life also and love watching you guys keep up the great work team 🙌
@JohnBurgess-rs1pb thanks so much mate! 😁
We love your videos and all the work you do yourself.
Just a heads up on the Truma Aventa… they are renowned for blowing fuses.
They only come from memory with a 6.2A “ceramic” fuse and many who have experienced this swap them out for an 8A and I’ve even heard 10A
It’s easy to do if the internal control box containing the fuse is not obscured by the mounting bracket as mine was as the unit then needs to be lifted out of the roof to change the fuse. Perhaps swap it out before you leave.
Thanks so much! Very handy to know this!
It should be easy to do on the road. Take the internal cover off, unplug the red plug, loosen the torque screws on the control box and if it doesn’t foul on the mounting bracket like mine did then slide it down…when it’s out there may be torque screws to access the fuse but I couldn’t get to that stage as the control box fouled on the bracket. On your install video it didn’t like likely that you would have the same issue.
You are a PRO Alex. Nothing defeats you. ❤
🙌🏼😀
Eye protection, especially working overhead removing screws. I'm watching, so I know how mine comes out.
Hi Guys, thanks for another fun video. The travel videos are great but the preparation is just as important. Thanks for both types of videos. Safe Travels.
Thanks so much!
Thankyou n have fun stay safe. Love your videos each week
Thanks mate!
Well done to u both hey your not the only one to walk off and forget then spending more time looking, have well deserved trip😎
Thank you!
I'm enjoying your content, Have a look at swapping your webber for a ziggy. this way you can keep your lid on and have more cooking choices. I have done this and would not go back
Yep the Ziggy is definitely something I’d love to get but it’s the $$ to swap over when we already have this one
Cheers!
Awesome video guys. The whole reno series has been great. Looking forward to the plumbing one as that is often something that goes wrong in vans.
Thank you!
Love it. People pay a serious amount of money and don’t have a useable setup as you rig now
Thanks! I’m on both sides, if you can afford a brand new van then by all means get one, for those who can’t like us this is a great path to go down 🤙🏻
Love to see an episode on renovating. We have a 2012 Jayco and would like to upgrade, fridge, aircon, water tanks and maybe suspension.
Love the build episodes, gives those of us who aren’t Caravan builders the confidence to tackle DIY projects, enjoy your break, well deserved 👍
Cheers!
Well done you both your both are a good couple
Thanks!
If you do decide on a new microwave have a look at the the Breville combo wave. Microwave, convection oven and air fryer. 32l, draws 1200. About $650 ish depending where you shop. We’re looking at one for our van when we get it. Ticks a lot of boxes. Plenty of room on the new bbq slider to put some containers for the fighting irons, your gourmet oil selection 🤪 and of course the obligatory stubbie station 🍺
Thanks! Will have a look into them! 👍🏻
Great job to you both, bertha is nearly done
Yeh good job guys enjoy your trip away . 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!
Yes to a q&a next week maybe live
I'm exited about everything
Well done, have enjoyed the Reno series 👍
Cheers!
It is called the Price is Right rules. Closest without going over
Nice, we still managed to mess it up anyway 😂
Great work guys. Tip for the chippy, put your tape on your belt. 😂😂😂😂 🍻🍻
😂😂 I should know better hey!
Hope you had a blast at the muster
A reno Vlog would be great.
Thanks my faves, keep on keeping on.
🙌🏼
Great video yet again guys. Keep it real ❤
Cheers!
Would love to see an episode on renovating.
👍🏻
Have a safe trip.
Thanks!
Well done 👍
Thanks!
Cool ep and work guys,
🙌🏼
Hi guys. i have a question for the one that built caravans . what type of stika adhesive for the solar panels on bertha.
Where there's a will there's a way, You wanted to know where Will was I think he was away😜😜😜
😂
12 14 13 closest without going over??????
I tried to look back but can't find it. What's the silicone you use? i need to redoo and hunt down a small leake in my coramal
Love your rebild videos, too
Thank you! It’s bostik v4 👍🏻
I love watching you guys. Have you ever worked on a Franklin wedge ? I am looking into buying 1 and retro fitting it
Thank you!
No never had any experience with them 👍🏻
Hi guys what is the size of your bbq hatch im thinking it would be good for 2 x 300 lithium batteries same spot front right any ideas for weight
The hatch is 725 wide by 180 high 👍🏻
Has that TV antenna discoloured in a very short time?
Yes it definitely isn’t as white as it was when we installed it
Maybe you should consult Grant from Living like kings for some tips. He’s NEVER built caravans 😂😂😂😂. Good job , guys.
😂😂
What size fridge did you put in and make thank you
You’ve just weakened the H frame significantly
A little but like I said I’m confident with how much is there vs the weight it’s supporting 👍🏻
@@nowornever_aus& the new unit is lighter
Trying not to be the party pooper but did you think of putting some Galvit paint on the bare metal after the grinder work.
No I didn’t, one of those moments when you don’t think of it at the time
Hi Guys Where did you get your digital clock from? Thanks
That one is from Jaycar
Mate they are trouble trauma truma
We’ll see how it goes 👍🏻
@@nowornever_ausyeah you might be lucky iv had to pull mine out. Best of luck
I think those mountain air systems are great, why don’t the others use a filter you can buy anywhere.
Sorry mate but your silicone work looks shithouse, you’d get sacked if you were a plumber or a tiler 😂
Great job John the slid looks great
Looking forward to you getting back on the road 👍
Cheers mate, as for the silicone I’m definitely not going to argue with that!! 🤣
How many amps did the old AC draw?
Around 150 amps
@@nowornever_aus wow she did suck it, not really viable off grid. I have one that looks similar to your old one but must be a tad newer as it draws 70. Love following the work done on the van, well done 👍
Yeah that’s on par with our new one which is very doable when your pulling 50 odd amps in full sun
gravity will get it down easily
😂 it sure will!
Now go caravanning lol
Ok!
Get a Ziggy
Yeah I’d love to try one but hard to justify the $$ when we already have the Weber
Glad I am not paying you by the hour lol.....For someone who built caravans whatha.....
You’re a Caravan Re-Bertha hahaha 🤪 not a Builder although we know ya Use to build Caravans ! Come to think of it ya didn’t say it once on this episode
Haha true!
I must not have been feeling well to not say it!!
Hey I'm a little bit disappointed with this episode.
NO I used to build caravans WTF man. Not cool
I don’t know how that happened!! 😂
No 240v connected, ok, are you qualify, but as is a 240v connection, licensed sparky, same principle as a power point, Not smart
never assume because it will make an ass out of u and me
True!
Hi guys did you change to a compost loo 🚻??
No we havent
