TORN PAPER MEDALLION DRYWALL REPAIR in Newtown Pennsylvania

  • I know lately I’ve had a lot of drywall videos and while that may seem intentional, it really is just by chance. I have had a lot of drywall repairs lately and have also been testing out the various time-lapse settings on the new camera in hopes to find the perfect setting that allows all of you at home to enjoy the video without the loss of too many frames; I’m looking for that happy balance.
In this video the homeowner who knew how to change out a ceiling fan destroyed the paper on the drywall when he pulled off a medallion that was held in place with a strong adhesive. There really isn’t any great way to remove a glued-on medallion but cutting around it with a razor knife prior to pulling it off would have saved some of the drywall.
We repaired the drywall for him and while the video may be short, it does give you a glimpse into what we did that day, and it shows the results of the project as they unfold.
If you have any questions about drywall repair, feel free to ask and if you suck at drywall repair and wish you were better at it, go punch a hole in a scrap piece and fix it until your happy with the results. Drywall cannot be taught, it must be learnt, just like riding a bicycle and like a bicycle, once you learn it, you’ll have the skill for your entire life.
If you like the DeWalt gyroscopic screwdriver that we use on most of our projects, you can order it from our associate link which will also help out the channel a bit at no additional cost to yourself. This screwdriver spins in the direction that you twist your wrist so you don't have to push a forward/reverse button ever and it's got a lot of torque.

    Good luck,

Nice work Bob. Drywall is another one of them jobs I cant stand doing. I put drywall in the same category as painting. I would rather be ripping down drywall then putting it up. I like the Jethro Bodine bowl action when you are sanding.
