HOW TO REPAIR or REPLACE GROUT on floor or wall tile

Over time the grout in tile installations tend to either discolor or break down, chip and even become loose or missing. With grout that is only discolored you can usually apply steam to it while brushing it to restore the original color, but sometimes that doesn’t work and your left with the task of removing it so that you can apply new grout.
In this short video Bob shows you how to remove the damaged grout and repair it so that it looks like it never happened.
Mixing dry powder grout will allow you to repair the grout, but the color matching may be difficult and so I suggest using the premade siliconized grout in a caulking tube that matches your original grout color.
Thinking of having a new tile installation done? You should pick up a couple tubes of matching siliconized grout to keep on hand not if, but when you will need them for future repairs.
