I live in South Africa. If it was a turbo 2l I would agree but NA is a lot of money to make it fast.

Rather go with a 325i minimum if your looking for power. But other than that you will be happy. Its still a lekker car.
Tf are you saying about lack of power?... 150Hp is more than enough for a daily car.....

A friend tells me that at high speed,he feels the car lowers itself a bit(suspension)can you confirm that?
That could be for newer models as this has a standard suspension however, I can confirm the car feels very solid at higher speeds. The 50 50 distribution and length of the car plays a role here. Anything over 100 KMH with traction off will have the rear step out under heavy steering. It can be a bit of a shock but as soon as you counter steer the car comes back so in that case definitely adds some excitement if your looking to have some fun as well.

Hey all I have done is removed the air intake snorkel:-) makes it sound a bit more throaty
yes... vanos made me some problem to and the mecatronic motor too but is good car in rest (btw try VW golf gti (5 or 7 skip 6 is a mess) or skoda vrs in future small engine and a lot of power and kinda good price too

No its also N/A. The turbo for the E90 starts at a 335i or an F30 316i and upwards.

Did you put traction fully off when attempting donuts?
Hey man, Traction must be fully off. You hold in the button for 5 seconds. If you have it half off you can kick it out around the corners but the Dynamic Stability Control still remains on and will save you if the car breaks out to hard.

On a side note, my boet has the 320d you mentioned. It's really proper. You'll be very happy with that one too.
Personally not a diesel fan however you cant deny what its capabilities are that's why its the first time in my life I am making the consideration. The E90 320D had timing chain issues as well as the timing chain is at the back of the engine meaning that to replace means you need to remove the engine. This was apparently sorted out in the next gen EG: F20 and 30. The fuel consumption vs power again is undeniably attractive but would definitely like to bring one on the channel to get a feel for it. Thank you for the support!
My dad has the LCI m variant to this car, its really nice, it has 170hp and 200nm, sounds sick

@@zesserfrmbl007 the N43 and the N46 share the same engine block the main difference is the Gasoline direct injection system. The N43 is a little bit more economical regarding the fuel consumption but the N46 is much more reliable.

@@zesserfrmbl007 the engine horsepower depends on the region more accurately on the fuel quality available there.
The N46 engine is available too with more horsepower this version is called N46N with a new Bosch control unit, a modified exhaust... it produces 170hp and 210Nm.

No LSD its an open diff.
I have mine for about 3 years and i never had any problems and my electric oil meter works perfectly fine. I have put mine on an dyno aswell and it hit around 140 horsepower. You should get your car checked
