5 Ways to Look More Confident - When You're Struggling To | Shade Zahrai

  • Research shows that confidence is crucial in the workplace. Those who exude confidence are generally perceived as more competent and are more likely to be considered for leadership or promotion opportunities.
    Feeling confident is important because it contributes to increased productivity and risk-taking that can lead to career advancement.
    But, it's not just about how you 'feel'. The external appearance of confidence is equally crucial, because those who appear confident, instil confidence in others. They're generally more likely to secure a promotion and opportunities and are more influential, even if others may have accomplished more yet lack perceived confidence.
    And here's the good news- While some believe that confidence is an innate trait (and there's some degree of truth to that), it's also a skill that can be acquired through learning.
    In this video I share 5 simple research-based tips to help you exude greater confidence. This is especially helpful if you're an introvert, or you know you're doing great work but you're not being recognized for it.

    One more way I'd like to add is to learn more & gain knowledge as much as you can. Knowledge boosts our confidence & gives us the strength to outsmart people who talk shit or poses smarter than other. When you're full of knowledge, it restores confidence in you then you won't feel afraid in standing anywhere whether it's a group or a crowd.
    I have practiced it & now I'm so much more confident about myself.

    Confidence, it's a feeling. You feel it and it shows all around naturally, without any particular projection or effort. If you don't feel it, perhaps for a while you can bluff with some or the other projection, but eventually people see through your nervousness.

    I tried walking more upright and looking straight ahead while I walk at work, to see if it made any difference. I was shocked at the difference it made in how senior coworkers interacted with me and the respect I felt! Definately worth it!

    Confidence is extremely important for any human being! I find that the more I am an expert in a field I am trying to be confident in the easier it is to be, for example, you wanna be confident in your dancing! then practice! Improve yourself! By improving yourself you are improving your confidence. From one creator to another great WORK! Love your videos!

    I am so happy to find this. I am a massage therpist and corrective exercise specialist with focus in posture for musculoskeletal health. But I also teach clients to create energy by standing open and tall, keep eyes ahead and looking a bit foward, and activate toes while walking. It's an instant energy booster. This intrisincly increases confidence internally and your confidence will be recognized quickly by others. I advocate the use of body management in order to support the mind. Stand tall and activated and the mind will follow.

    Wow, Shadé! These are very helpful. I've heard, "fake it till you make it." When I was in high school, I stood by a wall and straightened my back, balanced a book on my head and started walking. Today I'm 63 but I feel confident like a 63-year-old. At heart, ❤ I feel 23.

    Regarding walking, I think having a straight but relaxed posture with shoulders back makes you feel (and project) more confident. In the west people walk a lot faster than in say Latin America where they have a totally different concept of time, but this often means that people are in a rush all the time when they don't really need to be. If you look rushed and stressed then this can make you appear less approachable. You can still walk slowly and appear confident. Think of people like Hank Moody from the TV show Californication, or producer Mark Ronson. Both are confident people, but very relaxed and are not rushing around..

    Confidence isn't a skill, its a trait of your personality.
    It can't be cultivated overnight. It can't be like that you decide "oh let's look confident tomorrow". It doesn't work that way. You can't fake confidence.
    Confidence is consequence of hard work, honesty & consistency over a prolonged period. This way it is build up organically as an extension of your personality & it oozes out naturally from you without any need to project it artificially.

    • @salmasl5339
      @salmasl5339 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      But we can fake it till we make it .why not .tbh I'm not confident but I try my best to be confident i usually fake confidence . Yeah its working very well .

    • @umeshmehta5132
      @umeshmehta5132 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@salmasl5339 may be you can fake it & it will work at times but this habit will never let you develop the real confidence one that is extension of your personality. Remember in the time of crisis or real test fake confidence will fall flat & only confidence which has developed organically over a long period of time will take you places.

      Exactly. What most people didn’t know is that not even bod language is necessary to convey it. There becomes a light from within visible, a mystical energy, when one is core confident. It’s the energy which introduces us before we even show our bodies. So, all the guys pumping up their shoulders don’t know they just make themselves look quite unnatural and ridiculous. Women feel their energy without even needing to look at them. They call it „charismatic masculine energy“ which is, as you say, impossible to fake

    In situations such as interviews, presentations and even just regular conversations, appearing poised and assured can make a real impact on how you portray yourself. In these instances, a lack of confidence can make you seem unsure of what you are saying, which in turn can make you seem less credible
