I worked in Crosville for several years and we used a 74 Bronco. It was amazing how tough that thing was. A friend of ours bought it, cleaned it up, done some maintenance and started driving it. That thing is still running today!

I was there with you guys, i would help you get it running. These old vehicles i love working on. I used to working on engines without the computer in them. Just to hear her turn over got me excited. It sounded good there. I know it wouldnt take much to get and keep it running. Just getting the right gas flow and the the right power to it would be the trick. This was an awesome video guys. I enjoyed watching and thanks for sharing.

Everyone I have had has sat 15+ yrs.As long as the engine wasn't blown all they have needed were a battery and some fuel dumped down the carb.
My 1st vehicle I learned to drive was a '71 EB Sport in '81,it was just as old as I was.All my father said was this is 1st,2nd,3rd,Rev,clutch,brake,gas and sent me on my way.I pretty much already knew that stuff from watching him drive it all those years. We later made it into a mud racer. After a yr or two we pulled the 302 and put in a 351w from a '69 LTD,took the front coils and a couple leafs off a F250 or 350 2wd and made our own lift.It rode a lil rough but hitting jumps it landed like it was landing on a pillow.Ran straight exhaust up behind the front seats. No one, even other EB's could beat it,even though we only ran 31 10.5x15 and at least one ran 36-38". It'd royally piss them off,so much so they tried to sabotage it a few times and still get beat....LOL!
    Love the EB,I have had 3 others since,'67,68,and 76.The '68 was my 1st that I bought when I was 14.
The '68 is 100% factory Ford steel, bought both front fenders, grill and tailgate off of Ford back then because I didn't want any bondo in it.Still have it and the '76 yet.

Wish I had seen the live by I have watched it now. Had a guy that run the business next door to the one I was running that had one of the of the first generation broncos. It had a 289 in it with solid lifter it was hard to keep them adjusted so they didn't rattle. He got tired of adjusting them every few weeks and sold it. It may have just needed some new nuts on the adjustment so it would stay tight.
Love you'll stay safe and God bless.

I bought a Rolled over and Totaled 1977 Bronco that was a West Virginia Department of Natural Resources Game Wardens vehicle with factory 411 posi traction and 16 inch wheels and repaired it. It was by far the best four wheel drive vehicle I ever owned. The one you have must have been a California vehicle because mine didn’t have the smog trash on it.

My parents had a new '74 V8 Bronco when I lived in Upstate New York with them then. It was green in color and a second car for my mother to get to work in the Northeast winters. She loved it and ran it until they traded it in for a Toyota 4WD in '86. The Toyota dealer already had a buyer for the Bronco at trade in.

I will say, having Christian helping adds to the video feature, with another personality, and adding a little humour here and there. Thanks for the video, as an old friend of mine had one of these Bronco's back in the day, where unfortunately he had an accident where a friend was deceased, but it was resurrected after the accident and ran again. Because of this Bronco's short stature, it isn't a great handling vehicle on the highway, but works just fine if driven in a responsible manner, and a ton of fun off on the forest or mining roads in 4X4.

Wow! She's rough but an 80's model Bronco II was my first vehicle. Actual a later 80's model and I'd do anything to own another one like. Like you said though finding one with an original v8, I couldn't have turned it away either. It would be a labor filled but fun full resto job for me. I come along when they decided to put that small v6 in it with a transmision that was geared way to high so even though it got halfway decent gas mileage, you gave up way to much power. I went through 3 transmissions with that thing. My plans were to take an 87 to 89 model Bronco II and a 90's Explorer sport and pull the drive train out of that and stick it in the Bronco II. I had the Explorer Sport but then couldn't find the Bronco II I wanted to put it in. I found plenty of 2wd's but either all the 4wd's rusted away or already bought. I came mighty close to buying an 87 model 2wd with blown motor for $500 but when I got to see it, some of the wiring had fried on it and though I don't mind wiring or the work, I just waited to long like we all seem to do sometime.

Listen to that 302 engine! parked over 30 years and it runs strong! If you ever wonder why people like Fords now you know. You get North of 60 here in Canada and all you see are Fords. They take one hell of a beating and still keep running.

I first drove a 1970 Ford Bronco many years ago . It was a standard shift , six cylinder model . It was really neat!!

Just a tip; I go on line and look at the free manuals or sometimes look at how to videos people post. I've made a few for Brevil and Sunbeam when a new product came out and they had a common problem I would work it out and send them a how to video. (I am a retired technician) But a lot of videos are out on the interweb as VGG would say. Just a thought for you? good luck.
