Another misplay I have noticed a lot is sky Striker kagari v revival effects such as shark cannon or hiita. It’s very easy to forget the method in which kagari was summoned because that’s usually something you never think about but it actually matters because if you use raye effect to summon kagari then that kagari was not inherently link summoned. Therefore, your opponent cannot revive it with shark cannon/ hiita.
Very good reminders! I would like to add that people watch out for cards that bounces/shuffle/target cards, such as Salad Heatleo. I went to a regional and my opponent summoned Heatleo, targeting my Kyoutou Waterfront. I read Heatleo too late into the game, and realized it can only shuffle back cards in the Spell/Trap zone, which, the Field Zone is not a Spell/Trap zone. So, watch out for things like this! Another good example is Knightmare Cerberus can only target monsters in Main Monster zones, not extra monster zone. I made this mistake myself. lol
I've seen people ignore both parts of Gazelle's summoning conditions (can't be in damage step and can't summon off another copy of itself), even in the same chain ;)
Don't forget, Mystic Mine does not trigger immediately when both players have the same number of monsters. If there are other quick effects/triggers you can activate, you can use those before activating Mystic Mine during the end phase
I would also like to add two: 1.) Monsters you take with Crackdown can not attack / activate effects. Saw this a lot at Knoxville. 2.) You can not summon anything except for Altergeist when you use Multifaker. I have seen a couple playing Thanos and dropping both.
From a Sky Striker Point of View, I agree that the OPT clause on dingirsu sucks. Sometimes I just have 2 shark cannonns and can't summon him twice xD. Since it states "You" I guess that means that both Players can Special Summon him once per turn?
Another thing to realize is that impermanence negating spells in the same zone says it must be on field at resolution. It’s a very niche scenario, but could come up in pendulum or sky striker if you chain mst or something similar to destroy it as cl2
Hey Tom, 2 questions If a player pendulum summons zefraniu and harmonizing, does only one of them activate since each card says "when this card", so they either get a monster from the deck from harm or a zefra strike, or do they get both effects since they a pendulum summon is considered 1 summon and they'd activate simultaneously? Second question: Does there can only be one prevent a player from summoning a 2nd monster. Player A has there can only be one, player 2 has 1 monster on the field and summons a 2nd monster, does there can only be one trigger making that player choose which monster they want and destroy the other, or does it just prevent them from attempting to summon a 2nd monster altogether? Thanks
1 both Harmonizing Magician and Zefraniu can activate, and the player summoning them gets to choose which order of chains they will be. 2 unless the monster you want to summon has a different type, you can not summon it when you already control a monster
1. You can choose if you want activate both of them (you can choose which order of them to activate), the pendulum summon is counted as 1 summon for all of these monsters 2. There can be only one is a continous trap, it does not trigger You cannot attempt to summon monster with same type as monster on your field (but you can set it) If just somehow you control no monster, you can summon any type of monsters altogether (in case of pendulum summon) but you get too choose which one you need to send until you control exactly 1 of each type if that trap was already on field Sending monster (if with same type; just in case you flipped face up these monster on your field) because of that trap effect will not trigger some of monster effect in GY (correct me if I am wrong)
I'm not sure you are correct about the mystic mine widow anchor thing. Mystic mine's trigger doesnt activate instantly once both players have monsters. It does however, need to be activated before leaving the end phase, as it is mandatory. This is similar to Yosenjus not having to go back to the hand as soon as the end phase is reached, and do not need to be on the same chain, despite having the same trigger. Since the trigger says "during the end phase", the player can choose when to apply it, so long as they do so during the end phase. See also: Card of Demise letting you discard your hand before spirits return to it, or after. Psyframe lord omega being able to come back during the sp after you have resolved some other effects, "such as activating gozen match/rivalry so he goes straight to gy".
This is relevant in the following scenario for example. My opponent controls 2 monsters. I activate personal spoofing, then i activate multifaker. I summon multifaker, then summon silquitus. Now i control 2 monsters, i decide not to apply mystic mine just yet, activate silquitus and bounce multifaker as cost, then use spoofing to shuffle silquitus into the deck and search meluseek, so i have 0 monsters again. Now, mystic mine's condition no longer spplies and i need not apply the trigger anymore.
Mystic mine as you said just has to activate at some point in the end phase. It's mandatory and it's a trigger. Not some lingering already resolved effect. Let me clarify this based on your examples. Card of Demise has a lingering effect (not trigger), you card effect has already applied, so you can choose when you fulfill the effect. (Not a mandatory trigger) Your multifaker altergeist, okay you activate your Multifaker and reduce your monster count back to 0. Thats fine, now Mystic Mine can't activate. Turn passes. Because you have quick effects to manipulate it. The widow anchor example: Widow anchor vs Mystic Mine. If you have used Widow Anchor whole controlling Mystic Mine. if you control a shizuku, and your opponent links up all their monster down to Phoenix by wasting all those monsters. You widow anchor and steal the Phoenix. During the end phase if you control 2 monster and your opponent controls 0. Mystic Mine can't activate trigger condition is not met. l, but since you have to return the monster, you send it back. Turn doesn't just move forward ... Both players now have 1 monster a piece. Mandatory Trigger condition is now met in the end phase and if you have no further effects mystic mine triggers.
Cl Chain block white dragon search black dragon as chain link 2. Elpy effect summon brotaur . Cl1 Saryuja cl2 brotaur.... There are ways to play around it.

It was actually my appeal, because I was under the impression that you can attempt, the floor judge ruled it otherwise. I pointed out that with Summon Limit negated effects to special summon to not count towards the limit.
This one comes down to effect negation vs activation negation. If the activation of the effect is negated, then it can be used again because the effect didn't activate at all. If the effect is negated, then it can't be used again because the effect was activated, it just didn't resolve. The attempt to special summon was successfully made (the activation went through), despite not resolving, therefore the attempt to do it again cannot happen that turn. (see the rulings on pot of desires) I believe it's ruled the same as desires where the scale effect of servent is an activate once per turn, not a use opt, despite not saying either, so if the activation is negated it, can be attempted again.

Trigger effects activate in a new chain if their trigger is met because they are spell speed 1. Think Atlantean Prince's effect: when it sends Dragonos to graveyard for cost, that dragoons doesnt start a chain block. U add the monster then activate dragoons in an new chain. It doesn't matter how many copies you have. It specifically states "card name" can only be special summoned once per turn. So once you summoned that one ding ding, you can no longer special summon it via any other methods. This is not an effect, this is a summoning clause.
Someone at my locals tried saying that he gets to choose where my kaiju gets summoned to his field, didn't matter too much but considering he's one of the better players I'm surprised he didn't know Either that or he thought he could get away with it because I'm 16?

Can you do a video on why people don't run raigeki or dark hole anymore and if these types of board wipes are still meta relevant, I personally think they are very powerful and a lot more handy than many hand traps, why impermanence one monster when you can just wait till your turn to dark hole all your opponent's monsters
2 reasons why people don’t run them, If you main them and open either one going first, that’s 1 less card that could have been a crucial combo piece so opening with a dark hole in hand is seen a waste Siding in going second tho, one would assume it would be a good choice however now days, decks tend to put multiple negations on board that it’s also seen as a waste Don’t get me wrong tho, board wipes if executed successfully can be very devastating and can even win you the game singlehandedly
Stuff I wish you had detailed more (but still great content, thanks a lot!) : -Mystic mine can be DELAYED as long as you don't end your turn: if you control the same amount of monsters as your opponent at the start of your end phase, but you need to return one of them by resolving widow anchor, you're not forced to detroy mystic mine first, and after that, you won't have the same amount of monsters so Mystic mine stays on the field. -If an effect is activated to Special Summon Dingirsu, but cannot resolve normally (e.g. CL1 Cymbal, CL2 DD Crow on Dingirsu), then you ATTEMPTED to summon Dingirsu and cannot do so again for this turn.
You do realize that mandatory triggers have to happen and will always occur first right? Regardless of Window Anchor, the moment you hit End Phase, the mandatory trigger of Mystic Mine occurs before you even can attempt to return the monster back with Widow Anchor; once Mine resolves and has been destroyed, then Widow Anchor will return the monster back to its owner
@@dbzfreak62 I'm afraid I wasn't clear enough in my answer: widow anchor is also an effect that has to happen during the end phase, you can choose in what order you will resolve both, and they are not forming a chain, just like spirit monsters. I am a judge now (pretty sure) and know basic ruling questions like segoc and the like, but I need to know as much as you do, more than likely.
Can I use my bardich as a link material if I use my fog blade on Bardich ?
No, the link material part of the effect text is a condition.
That’s a condition not an effect
Can anyone explain the Mystic Mine one? I'm just not fully grasping my head around it.
If I have 2 dingirsu, can I summon both twice in the same turn? How can I tell if a monster effect is once per turn for only that monster and not another monster by the same name that's also on the field or in grave?
It doesn't matter how many copies you have. It specifically states "card name" can only be special summoned once per turn. So once you summoned that one ding ding, you can no longer special summon it via any other methods.
This is not an effect, this is a summoning clause.
Can you make a video about face down monsters, for example why you can use a face down monster for a contact fusion, but not a link monster?
Horse fusion summoning is the only way you can use face down monsters as materials due to its old game mechanic
@@billyjr8516 Ok, that answer is disappointing, but ty anyway.
Here's some relevant quality content. Appreciate it!
Someone at my locals tried saying that he gets to choose where my kaiju gets summoned to his field, didn't matter too much but considering he's one of the better players I'm surprised he didn't know
Either that or he thought he could get away with it because I'm 16?
This is classified as cheating. He knows the rules. Anyone who has played with kaijus knows that they never "really" "control" your kaiju
"Is it because im 16"
Why would you assume that, being 16 does not make you stupid. Trying to cheat would work on a 10 year old, not a 16, even 14 year old. Probably he had no idea, since kaijus dont specify, maybe he thought it was like a tribute summon
Someone claiming Ultimate Conductor Tyrannos book of eclipse effect can still resolve under monarchs erupt by destroying itself
If it were cost, it would work
Umm if they are under miscellaneous, sure. But no it's an effect to destroy it will not work.
@@MSTTV Doesn't Misc only protect from activated effects? Whereas Erupt becomes a passive negate?
Liam Jones if it was cost like pankratops it would work
@@thatoneguy2136 Yeah, because Cost would remove it from the area affected by Erupt. This does not require Misc, and no card pops as cost, meaning that UCT could never dodge Erupt this way.
If the opponent summons pankritops and I Solemn Strike it. Negating its summon. Can he summon another 1 even though it says summon once per turn this way.
He can´t because he attempted to summon him once already.
Anthony Hawks just like negating a normal summon, they are unable to normal summon for the rest of the turn
Sent dragon spirit of white to the graveyard with dragon shrine and my opponent said I couldn't send another to the graveyard because it's not a normal monster.
Since it is considered a normal monster while in the GY, shrine would work on it
Can you do a video on why people don't run raigeki or dark hole anymore and if these types of board wipes are still meta relevant, I personally think they are very powerful and a lot more handy than many hand traps, why impermanence one monster when you can just wait till your turn to dark hole all your opponent's monsters
2 reasons why people don’t run them,
If you main them and open either one going first, that’s 1 less card that could have been a crucial combo piece so opening with a dark hole in hand is seen a waste
Siding in going second tho, one would assume it would be a good choice however now days, decks tend to put multiple negations on board that it’s also seen as a waste
Don’t get me wrong tho, board wipes if executed successfully can be very devastating and can even win you the game singlehandedly
Pedro Betancourt not everybody plays combo decks.
Wow great video
Stuff I wish you had detailed more (but still great content, thanks a lot!) :
-Mystic mine can be DELAYED as long as you don't end your turn: if you control the same amount of monsters as your opponent at the start of your end phase, but you need to return one of them by resolving widow anchor, you're not forced to detroy mystic mine first, and after that, you won't have the same amount of monsters so Mystic mine stays on the field.
-If an effect is activated to Special Summon Dingirsu, but cannot resolve normally (e.g. CL1 Cymbal, CL2 DD Crow on Dingirsu), then you ATTEMPTED to summon Dingirsu and cannot do so again for this turn.
Your just mad
You do realize that mandatory triggers have to happen and will always occur first right? Regardless of Window Anchor, the moment you hit End Phase, the mandatory trigger of Mystic Mine occurs before you even can attempt to return the monster back with Widow Anchor; once Mine resolves and has been destroyed, then Widow Anchor will return the monster back to its owner
@@dbzfreak62 This is not true for effects that trigger based on a phase, see Spirit monsters and Card of demise for reference.
@@kevinf3291 You're*
@@dbzfreak62 I'm afraid I wasn't clear enough in my answer: widow anchor is also an effect that has to happen during the end phase, you can choose in what order you will resolve both, and they are not forming a chain, just like spirit monsters. In the case where you decide to resolve widow anchor first, mystic mine no longer has to trigger.
Tfw senpai didn’t do your survey.
Maybe I win with Flower Cardians because they don’t want to read mini essays
Sorry, I was in a rush that day.
@@MSTTV its fine things happen :)
people illegally use use pk and the banish dragons a ton.lmao
Here is a stupid one i realized while playing against a friend the other day, he was playing orcust heroes and had crescendo on the field and a dingirisu, when he attempted to use the crescendo against one of my plays someone pointed out that to activate crescendo you need to control an orcust LINK monster. So yeahh if the only orcust they only have on the field is dingirisu, crescendo doesnt activate :)
Can Patrol link monster tribute an opponent's monster?
No, because if the card says "tribute bla bla bla" you can only tribute your own monster. The card effwct has to specifically has to say "you can tribute opp monsters"
Ok, thanks
I think the only way you could would be if lair of darkness is on their field, but other wise no, you always tribute your own stuff unless specifically stated other wise on card text
No
If you have lair of darkness you can. Otherwise, no.
Thanks dad

It's legal. XD
One PK can't search another PK, idk which one tho

They are sent to the GY then. Same goes for detatching.

Didn't u get the memo?
@@MSTTV Yugi Muto xD
@@MSTTV just joking XD. But now for the serious question. It's about the monarchs erupt. So i was playing monarch and i had vanity fiend and the monarchs erupt. He was able to remove my vanity's fiend but not my monarch erupts. He wanted to use an effect of a monster but i said that it was not possible. He claimed that because i dont have a tribute summoned monster, he is now allowed to use monster effects. Got into an argument but eventually i let it slide. My question is: is the monarchs erupts still active even if the tribute summoned monster is removed from the field?
@@dikkebal this is a bit late but you sre right, monarchs erupt effect will still be in effect even if there is no tribute summoned monster on the field.
Field barrier does it protect mine against it's own effect
