    Also, while this doesn't really involve a card from chaos impact specifically GB Tamer editor cannot be used as fusion material, you CANNOT contact fusion with it and more importantly it cannot be used as fusion material for super poly so don't let your opponent eat your Tamer editor and Domi for a starving venom

    Avramax summoned by I:P Masquerna:
    Oh? You’re approaching me? Instead of running away, you’re coming right to me?

    I'm happy to have watched this video, glad beast was my first meta deck even though I didn't play it competitively back then but as a true glad beast player I have to know how to play it properly, luckily I've checked myself on the deck w/ old cards & new, I'm very familiar w/ the combos and I look forward to better myself in future games, this video was very informative, thank you.

    And for those of you that play it, Gladiator Beast United is another card that can special summon a Gladiator Beast Fusion Monster from the extra deck, ignoring it's summoning conditions, using monsters in your hand, field, and/or Graveyard. The conditions for this card, though (unlike Tamer Editor), are:
    A: Must be done during the battle phase.
    B: Requires the materials listed on the Fusion Monster be in one of the three specified spots.
    Now, I've play-tested this on YGO-PRO multiple times, and apparently you CAN use monsters previously summoned by Tamer Editor's effect for the effect of summoning out a fusion monster with GB United. Also, even though Tamer Editor itself says that it can't be used for fusion materials, but apparently GB United works around that as well?? I don't know if these would hold up in actual tournament play or not, and I don't personally have the funds to build my own deck to try it out, but if I could get some clarification on if these would actually hold up under actual tournament rulings, I would greatly appreciate it.

    You can strike I:P effect but if you let the effect resolve you can’t then negate the summon of the monster.
    If you just link summon using I:P they can use strike to negate the summon like any link summon.

    • @MSTTV
      @MSTTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can strike the summon of that ever that comes out from IP's summon as long as IP is chain link 1. Because it states after this cards resolution. Thus the last action is no longer the effect of ip resolving but just the link summon itself.
      Putting it to chain link 2 will make it so that the last thing to resolve to not be the summon anymore.
      This isn't new, this was common with synchros with formula synchron and going into trishula and people questioned if it can be solemn judgmented.

    Also any GB fusion summoned off of Tamer Editor's effect does not count as being properly fusion summoned so they cannot be revived through comeback or monster reborn later on in the game.
    Thats also why gb players should consider a copy of imdomitable gladiator beast. It recycles gladiator beast cards(not just monsters thanks to errata) for free

    Hey what’s good man. Question, a judge a my locals who’s been judging for over 8 years, says Borrelsword Dragon can attack twice without using its effect to switch a monster from attack to defense. Is that true?

    • @MSTTV
      @MSTTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not true if he says Borrelsword can attack twice without using it's effect. It is true that even if the monster doesn't go to defense Borrelsword can still attack twice after activation.
      Full break down:
      Conjunction: Also is the key word.
      1. To attack twice it needs to activate the effect that allows Borrelsword to attack twice. Which requires Borrelsword to target an atk position monster.
      2. Resolution the monster goes to defense.
      3. Also, you can now attack twice with Borrelsword.
      Because it says "also", even if the targeted monster doesn't go-to defense position you can still atk twice with borrelsword.
      Under the also conjunction: even if the first part of the effect doesn't happen the other parts will still apply in resolution.

    • @MSTTV

    • @zurajanaisephirothda3886
      @zurajanaisephirothda3886 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Chain link 1 scenario: Ip activates effect, ip effect resolves, enemy link summons: basically as if your opponent would make a normal Link Summon during his turn, you can use the Solemns to negate the Special Summon of the opponents Link Monster
      Chain Link 2 becomes more spicy: you activate Raigeki Chain Link 1 while you have Solemn Judgement and Solemn Strike set (and rdy),
      IP activates effect Chain Link 2
      If you wouldnt use your Set cards: Ip effect resolves, Monster gets Link Summoned, Rageki effect comes through
      In this scenario you can only activate Strike on IPs effect and you cant activate either Judgement nor Strike on the Link Summon because:
      Since the effect is Chain Link 2 and the Link Summon is done immediatly after IPS effect, your own Chain Link 1 card (this case Raigeki) is chainblocking you and causing you to miss the timing on Judgment, thats why you can only use Strike on the effect activation of IP

    MST.TV another quick question
    Can I use test panther + another GB monster to make GB Dragases by making test panther go from 2-link rating to 1-link and therefore also making it count as one of the materials needed? Or because GB Dragases is a specific 2 GB monsters this can’t work?

    • @chibigohan925
      @chibigohan925 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're correct in where you state that "because GB Dragases is a specific 2 GB monsters this can’t work". Dragases will always have to have 2 Glad beast monsters to be link summoned, which is actually one of it's biggest drawbacks, unfortunately.

    I am currently q small tier 2 judge and I'm curious about chain link order if there is a chain link 3 going on and the chain link three resolves and next is two am I allowed to respond to it with an effect negation or would it have to br the first monster in the chain link order

    • @MSTTV
      @MSTTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If a chain is resolving there is no response timing during the resolution.

    • @MSTTV
      @MSTTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can only respond when the chain is building

    • @babrad
      @babrad 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Short answer: You can only respond to the last action on a building chain (following the rule of letting your opponent add a chain link in response to your action). So for an effect negation you either have to respond immediately to the effect (ex. Solemn Strike), or in the current chain (before it starts to resolve) activate a card like Infinite Imperm/ Effect Veiler/ Lost Wind (for a monster negate).
      Only continuous effects may apply between chain links of a resolving chain.
      For example you have Thunder Dragon Colossus with no thunders in GY, and a set Burial from a different dimension. Your opponent's looks at your GY, then activates Raigeki. You then chain BFADD, targeting a banished thunder monster. During resolution, the thunder monster is RETURNED to GY, then Raigeki resolves trying to destroy the Colossus. But Colossus's continuous effect lets it banish the returned thunder to avoid destruction if its owner wants it.
      An other example letting you affect something in the middle of a resolving chain is the following:
      At the start of your 3rd turn, you activate a monster trigger effect (E-HERO stratos search effect), then chain a quickplay spell like Mystik Wok (tribute as cost to gain LP equal to ATK), then chain Call of the Haunted targeting your monster (now in GY), while your opponent has a Spellcaster and Magician's right hand face up on their field.
      Your trap will resolve properly, special summoning the tributed Stratos, Magician's Right hand will not allow Wok to resolve, then at last you get the search from Stratos. (also the "new" stratos will miss it's timing to activate again)
      An other example showing how powerful continuous effects are:
      You have 1 card in your hand, a "The Fabled Unicore" and a set "Twin Twisters" on the field. Your opponent has "Orcust Babel", "Longirsu" pointing at your "Unicore", a set "Crescendo" , and no cards in their hand.
      They try to activate "Longirsu" to get rid of your monster, then you chain "Twin Twisters" discarding your last card and making your hands equal, then they chain the set "Crescendo" to negate your "Twins".
      "Crescendo" will try to resolve but now your "Unicore"'s condition has been fulfiled, so their counter-trap is negated and destroyed, your "Twins" will resolve destroying the remaining "Babel", then the effect of "Longirsu" will be negated and "Unicore" will try to destroy it, but Longirsu's continuous effect that protects it from destruction will let it stay on the field, as only activations are negated, not other effects (unlike skill drain, white howling etc that negate entire effects across the field)
      Hope it helps

      @@ketsura3618 I think you're thinking of a situation where there is a blanket banishing effect on the field.
      Dark law is a perfect example of stopping ogre and veiler because they can't reach the graveyard in the first place. Berserker banishes them as the next chain link and they're already in the grave so the effect still goes through.
      They discard as cost so they hit the graveyard immediately after chaining to something. It's the reason why called by the grave can hit the ghost girls and veiler.

      @Joerisama 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Azaizer If it’s CL2 then when you Link Summon you still have to resolve the CL1 (you or your opponent) after in order to finish resolving the chain. That way, the summon is still inside the resolution of the chain, and you cannot activate a card or effect during a resolution.

    • @azaizer
      @azaizer 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Joerisama well I still couldn't make sense of it and just found this under the rulings of how/when you can use Solemn Judgment - The effects of "Thunder King Rai-Oh", "Black Horn of Heaven", "Solemn Judgment", and similar cards can only be activated when a monster Special Summons itself without starting a Chain, such as when a Special Summon monster Special Summons itself.
      My next question is, if you activate Masquerena only, can your opponent then Chain Solemn Judgment to destroy Masquerena itself due to it's effect to Link Summon from the Extra deck? Or do they have to wait for Masquerena's effect to resolve FIRST and then they can attempt to Solemn Judgment whatever was SS from the Extra Deck and then negate that monster's summoning?

      If u use Raye's effect to summon out Kagari.. it isn't a link summon therefore it is improperly summoned, so it cannot be special summoned from the graveyard
      Therefore if someone uses shark cannon and target her, she must be banished because u cannot special summon her from grave as she wasn't summoned properly.
      You have to remember she wasn't summoned properly which something people's constantly forget and sometimes people use hiita to attempt special summon her.

      MST.TV bc the actual wording on rayes quick effect says special summon not link summon?!?! Holy crap I never thought about that or even realized it . (Booooooooooooooom)

      Its weird bc if someone tried to
      Monster reborn a fusion monster or something outta they grave that they didn’t fusion summon properly I would notice. I can’t even begin to think how many times it’s completely blown past me with link monsters

      @@lewisrussell3645 they just have to be properly summoned based off fusion summon Or by their own summoning condition but if it was summoned via neither... Then that summon is illegal.

    Imma say it: most of the illegal plays are not intentional. So don't be mad when at locals someone "cheats"
