Everytime you think they have done the best they can they do it again and again they just surprise you with great music and the capability to cover song after song and make them even better.
I would imagine that the song you've picked out for Rob is End of The Road but another one that he kills is Blue Ain't Your Color, it's a Keith Urban cover.
They are all tremendous, but Austin and Rob have my favorite voices. Especially Austin. Hearing him sing "Unchained Melody" solo, accompanied by the guitar blew me away! Love these guys. Their blend, hamrmonies...Home Fry here! ✋
Austin's voice was made for this song and did he ever crush it. The harmonies woven throughout and full on supporting him were beautiful and of course Tim's bass just anchoring everything so nicely. Adam's beat boxing/vocal percussion was extraordinary. Yup, that was Adam with the "Star ship Enterprise" effect you heard. These guys performances aren't just listened to and heard, they are experienced and felt. Yet another song they've covered and made their own. Thank you for a wonderful reaction!
It´s hard to believe but it took Tim 3 - 4 years getting Austin to sing this , and after release Tim smiled naughty and said lets see in 9 months how many babies this made
One of the best reactions to Home Free's cover of this song I have seen. Thank you! You certainly enjoyed that and I enjoyed watching you enjoy it. Cheers!
Thank you for another great reaction!! I love Home Free, and Austin is my favorite voice…although they are all amazing singers!🤗❤️His Bring Him Home was absolutely breathtaking! You will love it!
For Rob, many people say to do End of the Road, which does show his vocal ability perfectly. Plus it is a well known song. So when you are willing to check out a song you may be unfamiliar with and you want to hear Rob, go for "Catch Me If You Can". The guys will all sing a song through once to see who is best for it. But with "Catch Me If You Can" Rob was the first to sing it and afterwards, the others wouldn't even try, knowing Rob hit it out of the park. It is a seldom reacted to song but soooooo good.
When I first heard this song done by HOME FREE, I knew it was going to be my favorite version. Everytime Austin looks into the camera, I smile and wink lol
I love it when you react to Home Free! Austin killed it! All of these guys are so amazing. I love everything they do. Some are a one or two time listen, most are an endless joy to my ears. It is all about the music and the fans with these guys, and it truly shows! Keep the HF coming!!
Yes, Austin sang in the same key as Percy Sledge. You might wanna check out a song done by Austin himself. He has some solo songs on his own channel. He did "At Last" in the same key as Etta James. You're gonna love it.
Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group. Don't forget to feature Adam Rupp & his drum solo.
For someone that's a self proclaimed amateur, you sure seem very capable analytically. 🤔 Great job. Austin; from my observations, is probably the most trained ,diversed, experienced technical singer in the group. However; all the guys have their individual strengths and sounds, that can blend so well.
For Rob.....The Dreamer.....End of the Road.....good ones. I think Rob is just now reaching his peak. He gets better every year. Austin is my favorite singer today....bar none. Funny, cuz Tim is the one that hooked me from Man of Constant Sorrow and made me a Home Fry. I have always been a baritone/bass fan, but Austin has converted me. When you start solos....check out Unchained Melody, I'm Not Supposed to Love You Anymore.....and, of course, Bring Him Home. Ooh! And Tears in Heaven!
Austin killed it. What more can be said? As someone who was around when Percy bowled us over with this song, I think he would have enjoyed this version. Thanks for the reaction. Looking forward to Rob's "solo" and to Bring Him Home.
If it is Robs turn then it has to be End of the road. Boys to men cover. He kills it! Then you must give Tim a place in the spotlight. Their version of Brothers in arms with Tim as the lead.... Magic!
This is a masterpiece for Austin as far as I'm concerned. I have such a love for his talent and this version that I can't even listen to anyone else sing it. His flirting looks at the camera does this old heart wonders. Happy that you can appreciate the talent of our wonderful gentlemen. Thank you. 🥰🥀🥰
Great reaction...Austin brought out every bit of soul in his body for this one! Austin was actually the only one in a studio along with his girlfriend Amberly! The other 4 guys were each at home recording themselves with the help of their wife or girlfriend! They have an awesome producer/arranger that combined them all together!
AAA++ great review, helps to Austin that he was singing in studio to his woman..... 😉, you know she brought out the best in him, plus he simply has great theatrics/body language when he is singing......... What an awesome group they are..... Thanks Dave!!
HF followed the Michael Bolton cover arrangement of the song vs. the original arrangement by Percy Sledge. In any case, Austin's performance is the new standard for this iconic song.
Yes, Austin nailed it. He gives himself completely here and also plays very well with the cameras. The great harmonies, deep bass and the unbelievably freaking good beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds finish it all off for me. I think it sounds perfect because of all the different beautiful voices. I grew up performing Percy Sledge which I already loved. Then came Michael Bolton's performance where I couldn't say for sure if it was better or not. But this one from Home Free certainly is.
Great Reaction I felt the same way when I heard this for the first time. I did not think you could improve on the Percy Sledge version but I was wrong. When you get to Austin’s solo of BRING HIM HOME you will be blown away. If you really want to see Rob to cut loose you should react to the Boyz2Men cover of THE END OF THE ROAD. He is spectacular in this song. Thank you for and keep the Home Free reactions coming. You have a blessed day.
Home Fry here. Yes, delve into the depths that is Home Free! They're all amazing. But branch out and experience their solo work. Austin and Tim both have tons that are musts. Austin moved me to tears on Bring Him Home. I'm a HUGE Les Mis "Colm Wilkinson" fan and to do that takes a lot! If you want to experience more of the Ruppster check out some of his "drum solo" videos. Rob has many songs he leads in. And Chance still leaves me speechless regularly! Welcome to the Home Free fam. :)
I didn’t listen to this video for a few weeks after I found it (I was a pretty new home fry) because, even though I was loving Home Free, I just “knew” it could never be as good as Percy Sledge’s original. I freely admit that I was infinitely wrong!
As well as that, I'd go for I'm Not Supposed to Love You Any More, a beautiful song beautifully delivered, and his original songs If I Met You Now and The Rest of my Life. It's always a bit of a mystery to me why he is not better known to the general music-loving public..
In addition to all the other requests, Austin killed Unchained Melody on his solo channel, then the guys released a totally different version a year later. Both are awesome versions of my favorite song. The Home Free version of Take Me Home Country Road is a masterpiece as well.
Tim released a solo of unchanined melody a few months before Austin did his and his was more like the original prison version sang by Todd Duncan. While Austin's is more like the 1965 Righteous Brothers version. I lived all three.
Austin has an amazing voice and Bring him home is class. I Know you like Chance's voice and it's not his turn. But Chance sings all of Cover Me Up. pure brilliance and you must watch it to the end if the video. Good luck with it
Austin’s girl is with him filming, that’s who he is looking to. Yes, a lockdown video. Austin’s education is in music theater! Home Free discovered him while on a cruise and the rest is history.
I do wish they hadn't faded out on those high notes. Love this song of theirs(love all of them). Great reaction. End of the Road by 'gospel' Rob is awesome 🙂
Adam Rupp- tenor as well as beatboxing greatness - Driver and full screen it and watch Adam Rupp carefully you'll hear it and your brain won't forget it also Adam Rupp - How Great Thou Art, and my Country Tis of thee, and the rest of the Gospels.
I don't know if you've already seen it but the collaboration of Home Free and Texas Hill (live at the Ryman Auditorium) of "Dreamer" is a tour de force by Rob Lundquist - he has such a sweet, soulful voice that suits this song down to the ground. Each of the members of Home Free is soooo unbelievably talented!
If you love an oldie, American Pie, Home Free ft. Don McClean, is an awesome rendition featuring the original artist, as well as Elvira, Home Free ft. The Oak Ridge Boys. My 3rd favorite is their collab with Kenny Rogers, Children Go Where I Send Thee. Must sees for any fan of the group.
I knew you would love this one! Austin flat out killed this and made it his own … and showed off his incredible high range. His girlfriend (now wife) was standing next to the cameraman during the taping. I really hope you do End of the Road to feature Rob. It’s absolutely fantastic. I think you did Tim an injustice in his feature, since he shared the limelight with Avi. You really need to do Brothers in Arms to get a better gauge of his incredible bass. Some suggestions for future songs: In the Blood, Winter Song, Hillbilly Bone, Sea Shanty Medley, Woman/Amen, Ain’t Goin’ Down Till the Sun Comes Up(!!), Try Everything and My Church. After several more songs, You really need to check out Mayday - but it’s best to know each of the guys and what they do before seeing this. To see their silly side, Champagne Taste (written by Tim), All About the Bass, and of course, Butts Medley (it’s hilarious). KYSOTI!
This song was recorded and released for Valentine's Day. Home Free has done a good, sappy love song for valentine's for the past three or four years. All are amazing. Bring Him Home will bring a tear to your eye but it is on Austin's solo channel, not Home Free.
Yeah, yeah, several people have already recommended Austin singing Bring Him Home, which I totally agree with 2000%. But I also want to recommend a few of my other Austin favorites to put on your list for later, all found under the Austin Brown name. Take the Night Off features him with his lovely lady Amberly and is filmed in their home. Earn It and Off the Grid kind of show Austin in his natural habitat; outside working around his home and out camping. Beautiful backgrounds for beautiful songs.
@@brendafrazier811 Can't forget Ain't No Sunshine. That one is extra special because of Austin's beautiful and heartfelt message of light and love at the end of the video after the music.
There's a live version (taken by an audience member) of Austin singing "Bring Him Home" - the video is called BHH & WWTWWS (What We're Thinking While We're Singing). His version of Bring Him Home is terrific and it's followed by something that's funny as hell. If you haven't seen it, it's the best of both worlds - a classic song followed by something just weird & funny (featuring Adam Rupp - the beatboxer).
These men do no wrong. Great reaction! Can't wait for Robs song. I really hope you react to a different Chance song .as much as I love Helplessly Hoping Chance has much better songs where he is the only lead singer, like Can't Out Run You , Yours, Cover me Up..

Love the Home Free reactions - 2 per week would be even better! Keep up the good work.
Aren't you glad you fell down the Home Free rabbit hole x
Thanks for your reaction to this song. Austin is so good when the song suits him!
Austin’s voice is like butter. Loved your reaction!! 🔥
He absolutely killed Bring Him Home!! It's on his channel.
Every Home Fry during Dave's intro totally giggling 😆🥰😆
I love your reaction! This is the song that had me fall in love with Austin's voice! A song that Austin wrote and sung is "Love Me Like That".
Austin's voice was made for this song and did he ever crush it. The harmonies woven throughout and full on supporting him were beautiful and of course Tim's bass just anchoring everything so nicely. Another great quarantine song from Home Free, they kept us sane during an insane time.
