The full Termignoni upmap eliminates the CAN bus expecting an exhaust servo motor communication. So if that is a true full Termi upmap and it hasn’t been written over by someone, you shouldn’t get a fault code for the exhaust valve. Looking forward to the next one!
I thought it should, problem is I need a DDS system to pull the old map out as I don't have the original UpMap key :( The key I have is the correct part number for a full map, I think the previous owner might have a half system map in there!!
DesmoWerx the DDS can’t do anything that your software can’t as far as I can see. You need an upmap with a stock map on it to extract the map from your bike and install the Termi map from that you tried in this video. The DDS can’t extract maps though if that’s what you were hoping for.
Another super detailed video. I’m finding myself watching the stuff for bikes I don’t even own 👌🏼. Have you done the mod that (so it seems) a lot of 1199 owners have done and put the 1299 headstock bearings in? I have an 1199 track bike and it would be interesting to see how you go about the change
Hey mate, loving your videos. It has helped me by unbelievable amount. I have a question though as my bike is giving me the same exact problem as the bike in this video. I’ve checked everything and Ive verified voltage coming from the wiring look to the ECU so it looks like the ECU is just dead. I don’t know how that would’ve happened. I wanted to see what you think it might be. I’ve got cables coming so I can troubleshoot to see if the ECU will respond to the diagnostic port too. Cheers!
Unusual for the ECU to just die unless its been shorted somehow or hit with something, they are pretty robust. Does your battery have good charge as if the voltage is not right the ECU will not power up?
Is the 1199r engine problematic with maintenance costs and frequency compared to the standard 1299 engine? I’m referring to 2016 models. I’m considering buying either a 2016 1299s or a 2016 R
Hi Tariq, yes the earlier engines can run in the standard model as its only minor differences to the internals, becomes slightly more complicated with the later R engines as some fueling changes would be needed.
Handy little diagnostic tool that. Just watched a few of your videos - great walk-throughs, enjoying them so far 👍🏼
Thanks 👍 glad you are enjoying them 😊
The 1199 is a great bike and your face remind me a lot Carl Fogarty !! great video series dude!
Thanks for watching Sean, wish I had Foggy's talent 😎
nice video series. thanks
Glad you liked it Pedro! 😎
looking forward to the 916 rebuild :)
I am looking forward to putting the engine together :)
Thank you so much for the videos!
Extremely helpful
Glad they are of help Jack :)

@@robevans916 Ah ok, new to this UpMap way of adjusting settings, will see if I have a key with a stock map :) Thanks
Exactly that error codes means the upmap has been used and not uploaded back to this stick, this is to stop sharing.
Guzzi Diag is also worth a look at for Italian bikes. You could also use a OBDLink LX or MX+ if you want to go wireless.
Thanks Bazza, will check them out
Thank you for this.

Hi Gopher, no not done that, I assume its to get an adjustable head angle? I will look into it more 😊
@@DesmoWerx It changes the 1199 rake too that of the 1299. I am not sure if its just the bearings that get changed, or the insert also?
I wish the video showed the procedure for changing out the map sensor.
melcodiag thumbs up !!!!!
Its a good bit of kit, need to use it more
Great video is it possible to do a video with jpdiag tool and show how to change mapping ?
Hi Cooperville, mapping is not my area of expertise, I am a mechanical Ducati and outsource that kind of work to far more skilled people than me!!!

Great work mate👍 just one question what was wrong with the 1199S engine? Thanks.
It had a crack in the lower part of the casing, the engine had been in a crash damaged bike so will be broken for spares and will ditch the cases.
Hi I got this same issue racing evo is not showing but once I connect my dongle it's give me download aboarted map already.Do you solve you problem?
Could u confirm if an S model 1199 engine can work on a regular 1199 harness & run on a regular 1199 Panigale?

Hypermotard821 Can up map?
Yes there are up maps available for the Hypermotard
