Made your vanilla cake for the first time this week for my husbands birthday. Oh my gosh! Soooo delicious! I used both the vanilla and chocolate cakes to alternate layers then put your chocolate buttercream between layers. Finished with vanilla buttercream on the outside. Best cake ever!!!

@ it turn out amazing, the icing taste like ice cream with a firm texture ! I did a grinch cake so it was great. Also did the vanilla cake with cupcakes . chocolate cupcakes from your chocolate cake receip! All of it awesome thank you

@@angelwilsn1 great! They don’t dome as much though if that’s what you’re looking for. I would reccomend preheating the oven to 375 and bake for 5 minutes then reduce heat to 350 and bake for another 10 minutes or so until toothpick comes out nearly clean. Doing this change in temperature helps create an even rise for the cupcakes
@@allisonfrench9938 I don’t recommend it. Cake flour is what gives the cake is soft and light texture. If you use all purpose flour the cake will be denser. However our chocolate cake recipe uses all purpose flour if you’re interested in that!
I made the recipe this morning and it came out extremely eggy tasting. I followed the recipe exactly as stated. The cake was soft and fluffy but the taste wasn’t pleasant .

Or your oven may be too hot? I hope you try again and get the results that so many love! That would be best! But sometimes they only sell reduced fat buttermilk. Either will work great

I use White Lily because it has an 8% protein content and is made of soft wheat flour. It’s better than Soft as Silk cake flour protein wise.
Have you tried this recipe with all-purpose flour? Was it still delicious or no??
