I swear, Hoyo made them dance because Black Swan, if u look closer, has some of Kiana’s distinct features that are subdued with purple. She’s got the long white hair and her eyes contain the same orange as her HoV look. Hell, her Finality outfit is white and purple…But its only looks, Kiana does not have her rizz. I don’t think its anything like big story wise. But it probs similar to Seele and Bronya’s relationship being VERY hinted to be romantic. Just a lil easter egg for HI3 fans after the grief they be pullin.
The theory that was floating in my head regarding the moment when the video turns - an empty void with 3 Duke Infernos followed by Acheron with the unsheathed blade. She does not have true memories, just fragments of her actions when the blade is unsheathed. The blade/the other self remembers the slashes it took to kill Duke, nothing else hence the lack of environment in this memory fragment that Black Swan saw. The thing Black Swan said in the end also supports this: a silent abyss filled with those who drowned in it. Only memory fragments of her kills. I still believe shes an Emanator of Nihility, whether by circumstance or by choice.
Also here's some interesting reads i found in the lore discussion area of the HSR server im in: Self-Annihilators are a group that lost their meaning of existence when they carelessly stepped into IX the Nihility's shadow. The shadow of the Nihility covers the stars equally, and Self-Annihilators may form in any world. It is said that Aha the Elation will randomly give mortals the power of their Path, and toy with humans according to their mood.
What you say about the Self-Annihilators makes what the devs said in the most recent livestream make sense - Nihility is all about taking something away. It makes the link between her and nihility seem very strong. The reason why I say "Finality" as her aeon is that Acheron/Raiden Mei has been linked to finality a bit in the other games. This is of course a multiversal thing, and if she's a variant and not a continuation of the Raiden Mei we've met in other games then the link to finality means very little. I guess we'll see :)
If I recall correctly, I think Acheron fondly remembers the dance, and Black Swan doesn't seem too uncomfortable around her, despite the fact that the dance was before the Nameless arrived at Penacony. I think she's just decided to not dive into that abyss again.
went from "oh that's kinda..." to "OH CRAP". In some of the silhouette play there in the middle, the silhouettes suggest that Acheron is ripping off, not just Black Swan's feathers, but her ENTIRE WING. (that was painful to watch)
I got the impression when the song / scene shifts and we see the Other Acheron, that other Acheron is the " real" Acheron maybe and she starts attacking Black Swan as a " B****, get outta my head " at least that was my impression lol :p

Man, if only people actually watched and analyzed the trailer for what it was and told instead of swallowing the yuribait whole and regurgitating endless and quite agressive shipping posts resulting in so many pointless arguments o.O (HSR reddit actually banned the "she is lesbian/he is gay/they are straight posts because of this) There was never any dance, well not real one anyway, if that isnt clear, not just in the dream but just in general (I doubt Acheron is much of a dancer), this is how Black Swan dives for memories, she wanted to see who Acheron was and what she was doing there, clearly having her suspicions even before doing so. But she is a relatively gentle person who prefers the happy and warm memories, the ones worth keeping, so naturally the past of someone like Acheron would near enough destroy her and she would turn from the hunter to the hunted just by Acherons inner defenses, since its clearly not something she does consciously. Its clear hint that she she is the emanator of nihility, or something like, which is likely the reason for her forgetfullness and such and that her past is nothing to sneeze at even for an experienced memokeeper.
I believe there was a dance (and it's hinted there's been more than one at that), but you're right, most of what we saw was taking place in more of a psychic realm.

As for Acherons part she is protrayed as someone who easily forgets and is generally uncaring but its not as tho she would intentionally scar BS, but at the same time she wouldnt let her probing go completely without an answer, hence enjoying the "dance". And BS is apprehensive about her after what happened, warning us about Acheron and generally keeping her distance, if not being cold, so I doubt there was more than that one dance, whether metaphorical or otherwise, BS is looking for gentle and kind memories, she wouldnt try that again. BS is a completely mastered(?) or at least Very Capable memo keeper, which means she should've been able to get out of seeing all that she didn't wish to see; /except she didn't/. or rather, She Couldn't. she was the one initially taking lead (very dominantly, i might add) of the dance whilst Acheron was kinda just going with it. she was the one who kept bringing Acheron back whenever [Acheron] tried to get out (i.e. when Acheron pulled her hand away very quickly but Black Swan was even quicker to grab it back). she was the one who fucked around & peaked into Acheron's memories to find out what happened to Duke Inferno. /and Acheron wasn't having any of that/. Black Swan wanted to see proof of a murder through her memories? then she made certain the Memo Keeper would see ALL the amounts of death Acheron has seen, carried out, and even endured in her of her life so far (it's the only reason i can think of in showing all those Predator Catching Its Prey scenes despite it all leading to IX, but i guess that part was more of how Acheron saw all that death and saw it as something either meaningless or how death itself(?) amounts to nothing considering thanks to her Myriad Trailer, we know she's one of the WORST Ending Alternatives to Mei from HI3 from the lack of someone HAVING BEEN THERE TO SAVE HER). Black Swan also REPEATEDLY tries to get away by turning into a flock of birds (or at least A Bird) multiple times but Acheron, however possible, keeps Black Swan within her grasp and it looks like in the final shot of the dance (before the molten bird flash) she honestly looks like she's gonna slam BS either into the camera (which does segway the shots very nicely) and / or into the floor. also, i wouldn't be surprised if Acheron's sword isn't exactly a holder of her memories, but rather of her bloodlust(?) i guess??? it's not quite the right word but like, her Level Of ViolencE (a cookie if you get the reference) ???? like, the acheron with the purple hair IS acheron as much as the one with the grey hair - the only difference being that the acheron When Her Sword Is Drawn instead goes from The Acheron We Know Who "Calls" Herself A Galaxy Ranger into Acheron, The Emanator Of Nihility.
