    Greetings from Poland! I've got H30 month ago, and I think it's first emtb that fills the niche, that I was looking for a long time. Price/value ratio is great as well. One thing that wasn't mentioned in the video is the battery uniqueness. Rise H series battery has 21,700 cells and afaik it's the only that dense cell emtb battery in the world for now. Orbea claims that this technology makes battery more durable and very resist to capacity loss after many cycle charges. As for the feelings, I love riding that bike, but as total newbie on mtb I cannot give any valuable review, nor have any comparison to other machines. Well, actually I think one fabric component is rather bad for any enduro activities on this bike and to no one surprise it's the breaks. 180mm discs are too small, and 2-pistons calipers are very not enough. I'm going to replace them and the rear tire asap :) cheers!

    Great review, great to see a review on entry level spec rather than upper level spec bikes which is outside most people's budgets. Big thumbs up.

    Great review. Just had my H15 delivered that I ordered in December. Setting it up for first ride. Just need a break in the rain and that pesky work schedule.

    3:49. Thanks. Good to know, as my wife and I are both around 70. It gets harder every year to hoist these onto bike racks.

    Great bike. I must recall. Those motors has been developed for those bikes, but those cranks e13 can brake that motor spindle... So beware

    It is good to see San Diego's Penasquitos Canyon in the video where I usually ride :) One question this H30 or specialized alloy levo? (5500$)

    just pulled the trigger on mine. So amped! Tried to talk myself out of it but alas 24mos 0% interest was too much to overcome through contender bicycles. No sales tax either outside of Utah. Coming from a 2009 Specialized FSR Elite, I feel like I did when I got my first Diamondback mtb in 1993.

    Thanks for this update Will and Scott! The Orbea Rise H30 looks like it handles well and has plenty of battery for a full day on the trails. Gotta get low in Tunnels!

    I bought an Orbea Rise M10 with the Vault hub. After 8mths and limited rides I was getting a loud pinging noise from the rear hub. On inspection I found that the teeth on the Vault hub were rounded along with the pawls. Clearly the hub is not fit for purpose on an ebike and I do not understand why Orbea are fitting standard mtb components on ebikes!!!
    The loads incurred on an ebike rear hub are massive compared to that of a conventional bike. So at considerable expense (£450) I have changed out my rear hub to DT Swiss who actually make ebike compatible hubs.

    My h15 should be arriving soon! My fork will be bumped to 160mm and adding shimano 4 pot XTs.

    Would you choose the orbea rise h15 or the specialized levo turbo alloy? both new 2022s and similar in price.

    • @papawillyemtb
      @papawillyemtb 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty different bikes but I like the H15 for the build specs, performance and weight savings. You'll also have more range as the Levo alloy is only a 500wh battery on a full powered motor.

    • @carleenvafan
      @carleenvafan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@papawillyemtb Thanks for the reply, I went with the levo since the dealer was located closer to me. Superfun bike tho! ~ 50km and 800m climb on one charge 🤙

    Would you go wild or rise?

    • @papawillyemtb
      @papawillyemtb 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both are great, but if you're into speed and more nduro riding then the Wild is better. The rise is great for a nimble feel on flowy single tracks and xcountry though it can handle a decent bit of downhill as long as your sag is set

    We got two of these for our daughters th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L the same size for age 6 and 9. It works very well for both girls. Gears were very easy for them to learn. Changing gears up takes some hand strength and is a bit hard, but they are learning. They did not come with water bottle holders- we actually got confused and thought the Derailler Guard was the bottle holder!! Regardless of these details, the bikes are fantastic- even our six year old who only just learned to ride bikes caught on within an hour of practice and loves it. Lightweight and easy for them to handle. All the parts are in excellent condition and the bikes are easy to assemble and very well packaged. Great choice for kids!

    Love the bike design th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube.All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.

    Honestly. Just go to your local park and look around. Sometimes you will find abandoned bikes at the park. I found a carbon ebike just left there. I should have looked it up before selling it for so cheap.

    Never understood the seak for weight reduction on emtb.... once u are on the bike it's the rider weight plus the bike give you the total weight... 7 or 10 lb lighter don't do much in the grand scheme ( always you can do a diet and lose those extra 7 lb lol)... it's really pure marketing.. when you ride a road bike with no motor in a competition you will feel the weight difference, even then it will be a very minor change no more.

      When riding in slow technical trail, 10 lb less make a huge difference.
