    All my running gear, and the gear I use to make my videos, is linked in the description 👟🏃🏻‍♂️📽️

    Well done mate. Great to grab 3rd place even while filming. I reckon that fast start was the reason you snuck 3rd in the end. It got you out in front of the pack and meant you could control your own race. But yeah its something we all do is gun it from the start.
    Congrats again. Subscribed too so keep em coming.

      Thanks my friend! It was a surprise and it is the best I have ever performed. I am doing arc of attrition 100 miles in January so I hope to build on this win and take my running to the next level. Thanks for the sub

    Dude how did you just run 100km in 12h and still look better than me after climbing the stairs 😂 incredible achievement 💪🏻

    Well done Craig, that's an incredible run! Your videos really inspire me and I've entered my first ultra for next year. And thanks for such a speedy upload!

    Epic result mate. Watched to the end. Your getting stronger and stronger as a trail runner!

      Thanks for watching Phil, was very chuffed with the outcome! Definitely think the close proximity to the North Downs Way 100 was a positive factor in the race performance. I'm starting to really love trail running more and more!

      @@runningcafe1 Youve got one very important personal trait that you down play and thats you don't seem to mind the suffering. You have mentioned it a few times on how bad your feet were at 40 miles in that NDW 100 yet you still went on and got another 60 miles done! That comfortable being uncomfortable will hold you in good stead as you continue your ultra running. The total opposite side of the coin though is that you also really seem to enjoy it too! as in, you appreciate the countryside around you and seem blessed to be there :)

      @@trailrunningphil Thanks Phil, I never really thought of it like that but that makes a lot of sense. I can keep plodding on in a fairly 'cheerful' and positive state despite being in quite a bit of pain, I think that's something that all ultra runners do to some degree depending on how hard they push themselves. Yeah, I really am enjoying the countryside. Having been a roadrunner from my introduction to running up till now roughly, I've never really given trail running a second thought but it's such a lovely way to get the miles in!
      Really enjoying your channel by the way. The run you did through the Brecon Beacons looks amazing, good training ground for your upcoming race. Best of luck for the Thames Path, you got this my friend!

    Fantastic achievement! Well done Craig 💪👏 ps there are various taps along the SDW if you run out of water in future 😃

    • @runningcafe1
      @runningcafe1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Ben! Wow, didn’t know that. Are they listed online somewhere? Definitely sounds like they come in handy.
      I know of the tap at the Dirty Habit pub on the north downs way which saved me during a difficult section of my first 100 miler so any taps are welcome taps in my book!

    You're a beast of a runner mate. How much training are you doing? Congrats on 3rd place 👍🏻🏃‍♂️

    • @runningcafe1
      @runningcafe1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Mark, means a lot. Currently around 40-50 miles a week but I'm really trying to incorporate some more hill and speed sessions into the training so I get good variety rather than just good mileage. Something I can definitely improve on, for sure, but that's the beauty of running as you can always do things better

      Got a few runs this autumn and winter planned.
      1. Folkestone half marathon in September
      2. Port Lympe 10k in October
      3. Wendover Woods 50 miler (By centurion) in November
      4. Hurtwood trail ultra in December (about 31 mile ultra)
      Should be good!
