    I always appreciate your tips on the best products. It seems like Wal;Mart has been stepping up their game with automotive detailing products. And don't forget the Clearance Aisle, just for fun. Two days ago, my local WM had 16 oz bottles of Jay Leno's Garage Vehicle Wash for $1.50 each in clearance - I quickly snapped up all four bottles.

Always have a whitewall/tire cleaner on hand and clean with a firm brush.Honorable mention for me is the Extreme Tire and Wheel from Armor all. Cheap and effective in a pinch. To deep clean once in awhile like after winter I will spray on the Turtle Wax Rapid Decon iron remover which works great for removing the imbedded stuff. I just have the stock painted Mercedes rims so car wash seems to work fine.

    Hi, please requesting your input. Living in Jax, FL and have an MDX. The car had not been washed for few weeks and had a slight discoloration. The car had a quite a few bud splatters on the bumper and hood. Decided to hand wash the suv to remove the bug splatters, ended up buying TurtleWax Bug and Tar remover spray. Rinsed the vehicle and then applied the bug and tar remover on the affected area. Cleaned it by using a soft bristle brush so that it would not scratch the paint. To make a note the discoloration was also present on the hood of the suv. Using the soft bristle brush, the spray did lather and removed the bug splatter, to add it also cleaned, removed the discoloration and shine. I was surprised. It looks a lot brighter than rest of the vehicle. My question is, by using the bug spray on the hood will it cause any paint damage? Can the product be used on rest of the vehicle to remove the discoloration. Planning to polish, apply ceramic coating and wax the vehicle. Please requesting your input/feedback. Thank you 🙏.

      @@casmithc2 It would be a lot just for a regular shampoo. I never use it more than once a month, and even then the protection is still almost at 100%. In between I use a highly alkaline truck wash as a prewash and then use a regular ph neutral car soap for my contact wash. So if you only used a regular car soap most of the time you could probably go 2 months or more between applications. It's just as easy as washing your car to apply.

      @@casmithc2 no it does not remove it. I just mentioned it to show how durable the ceramic shampoo is.
      When I use the ceramic shampoo I foam it on and use it for my contact wash, then rinse off immediately. So total dwell time might be 10 minutes or less.

    Josh, Could you do a comparison video between the Chemical guys foam cannon, and the tool daily cannon. They look identical, but there's a almost $70 difference in price!
    Thank you
    Jake

      Mate. A foam cannon is just a lazy way to apply soap. All dirt needs some effort, wash not etc. Pressure washers and cannons only do so much. Unless it’s total trash a FC is a FC.

    Just an FYI, the Black Max hoses are now branded as Hart, but it's still an Uberflex. I bought one yesterday, it was $37 at my nearby store.

    I am recently new to using a soap cannon, I used it today and it worked great but I was left with some liquid in the cannon. Do you just dump that or is it okay to leave it in the cannon to use on your next car wash?

      @imjoshv  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yea ideally you want to run some clean water through it and store it dry if it’s going to be a few days or longer before you use it again. That will help to keep the filters clean.

    I had this 06 Avalon that was used for off-road and racing and was so filthy and wasn’t washed for I think about 5 years and I used suds labs and the car looked almost brand new, I had to clean it a couple times before it got a full clean because the car was just that filthy but suds labs is a 10/10 from me
