Shaman got a pretty flavorful set, I like it! We’ve been expanding Shaman’s spell / overload side a lot, so it’s nice to explore more of their more minion based themes
Idk, but it feels to me like it wouldn't even have been all that busted if they removed the "in a row", it'd basically be Star Aligner with an easier conditional, slightly more scaling potential (though you'd still need to offset the Control tools you'd need to reach that scaling with enough Elementals to make it good), and no ability for Druid to totally break the game with it. And Azerite Giant is even worse, that card seems mediocre at best *without* that phrase in it. No idea why they chose to include that part. I mean, they could at least have made him start at like 2-3 damage, so he's not entirely useless if you topdeck him in your presumably fairly minion-heavy tempo deck.
1. I have a feeling that Skarr is going to get buffed later down the line. The effect is just way too situational for a 7 mana Legendary 2. Walking Mountain is ridicilous tho. Literally the only thing separating it from a fan-made card is the high cost.
Walking mountain is basically a better V07tr0n. 4 attack mega windfury, but with 16 hp instead of 12, also has lifesteal, and you dont have to have 3 minions survive an enemy turn you can just play it. In wild theres some elementals that discount the next elemental you play, as well as all elementals in your deck, as a battlecry, which means you can double up using quest shaman, which will be easy to complete since elementals very frequently have battlecries anyways.
I think, if hes to be good and not garbage, Skarr works based on each inbetween turn as his text implies - say I play an elemental on turn 2 and one turn 3, then I play one turn 5 and turn 6 - these SHOULD stack based on the card text (it doesn't say they have to be consecutive just by EACH TURN in a row) so I would have a 3 damage Skarr from this (two turns were in a row +1 as a base damage).
We now know what the Cactus Cutter flavor text means... Druid cards were revealed today and they got Spinetail Drake. It's just a dragon made out of cacti haha!
Hey Rarran, what would you think about a tech card monster that had an effect something along the lines of: 'Your opponents cards that draw or discover cards instead draw no cards". That would have to be worded better, but I feel like drawing cards is a common enough effect that it could be really powerful.
The problem with Holli’dae is that a ton of decks, especially at higher ranks, run rustrot viper because of Ignis. Also elemental shaman has never worked, and I’m not convince the elementals and payoffs in this set are enough to change it. Play an elemental the turn before is just too random and hard to control
I thonk the quickdraw mechanic makes for an intereting scenario where most players aren't used to miss timing. The idea of it is basically it has an good effect but onlt if used immediately. If not, then you miss timing for it. It adds another angle of "should I play it now or let it miss its timing" Yugioh has a huge issue with missing timing with when effects always having all its timing vs If effects. The quickdraw mechanic acting as a if effect
So many of these cards feel like buffed reprints of cards that saw no play and these will continue to see no play, Also the play style of just play thing on curve isn’t really fun and the deck falls apart when u miss a drop whose idea was this shit
Walking Fountain was my favorite shaman card for a long time, so I’m really excited for Walking Mountain.
Played Walking Fountain a good amount of times during Dalarein Heist and Uldum. Was so sad when it rotated. I am so excited to see this in play!
THE ELEMENTAL PACKAGE, THE ELEMENTAL PACKAGE IS REAAAAL
SO HIGHHHH
@@jetbean9157as high as a mountain?

the minecart cruiser flavor text is a reference to lyrics in the song midnite cruiser by steely dan
unfortunately its been confirmed that skarr resets when you end a turn without playing an elemental, just like azerite giant
disgusting
That's awful

The Steely Dan reference on Minecart Cruiser brings me so much damn joy.

You could also cheat it out with some Big Shaman cards, seems like that could actually be okay
spinetail drake is probably an dragon coming out this expansion thats a dragon with a cactus stuck to his tail

Minecart Cruiser's text is a reference to the song Midnight Cruiser by Steely Dan, and Doctor Holli'dae is reference to Doc Holliday.

By the release date Rarran's gonna become all tribes.

The Minecart cruiser is a steeled Dan song but it’s midnight cruiser

living prarie flavor text is a bon jovi reference lol
So can we clarify how Skarr works-does it keep the longest elemental chain?
no, its just each turn before
Kindling elemental (cost 2 less next elemental) omg that's so scary for that new fountain. Exciting
I want to point out that the 7 mana 7 - 7 that bounces back your minions in shudderwock shaman is an elemental

Power level of this game needs to go down. You could say the set is Poo but I’m glad it’s not as ridiculous as the most recent expansions
In today's video Raran learned how to count to 7
Glad my 2 favorite decks are looking fun abd playable! Excited more for shaman but rainbow dk is going to be fun as well!
He went eleMENTAL.
Walking mountain is just a jumbo walking fountain. Its just got double health, mega windfury and the overload. I guess that's the joke lmao.
Can’t believe they put an undertale reference in Hearthstone
i think quickdraw will suck cause you dont always want to use the spell on the turn you draw, mid so far which is good in a way
I like quickdraw as long as we're not having billy the kid
skarr starts at 1 not 0
so 3 turns in a row would give you 4 damage and not 3
staff of frog summon a shitton of taunts. summon the bigguy. crazed alchy win. ez
Walking mountain about to break arena
Staff of the Bigger and Bigger Men!
Set looks amazing so far, can't wait to play with it :)
It's a good day to be a shaman main 😌
A mountain is better then every legendary so far.
@rarran instantly about doctor hollidae, this card is going to be BUSTED. Give mark a month lol
I had some type of inkling of skill with the elements around me to know to be this early to watch the video 🎉
Control tools for a tempo deck.
I'm not hopeful.
You play the jail card into 9 mana 4/16, jail it and then you have lethal in 3 turns with no risk of it being removed
first
So many of these cards feel like buffed reprints of cards that saw no play and these will continue to see no play,
Also the play style of just play thing on curve isn’t really fun and the deck falls apart when u miss a drop whose idea was this shit
Why is set looking poo?
i need rarran to stop putting his hands behind his head, the gains are distracting 🫣
