Another way to calculate the total of such a sequence is to add the lowest an highest value together, then multiply by half the length of the sequence: (1+9)*(9/2)=45
Skarr really should have like at least 3 damage as the base line and then add on top of it. It’s actually weaker than the Tumbleweed spell with anything less than a full charged 6 turns of elemental.
Death knight: we cant possibly push all three/four runes at once so here is some rainbow deck cards for this expansion Shaman: how about we make cards for a highlander deck a nature spell deck and a elemental deck at the same time! what could go wrong?
no dominant archetype in the present seems like a good fit for a highlander class, you can mix and match a few best things from different styles and dont have to play the worse fillers. maybe reno is insane but other classes dont really wanna cut their good cards down, but shaman can afford it.
I think the issue is that hollidae just kinda gets smoked by all the weapon removal run anyway just cause of ignis, be it hard run removal or a viper in etc band
Not only that but since it takes you ages to ramp up these frogs, your opponent still has 5-6 turns to draw into their removal or just kill you meanwhile...I dont know why all creators think this card is even good, I think its really garbage...delayed tempo has never worked in HS (think of the Druid legendary spell that summons 8/8s after 4 turns) and the first 3-4 swings just dont do anything...If it was the staff of the 7 frogs and we start at 3/3 then maybe I can see it yeah as the turn 5 play is already decent and if your weapon gets Vipered two turns later you have at least gotten a 3/3, 4/4 and 5/5 out of it which justifies the highlander deck building restriction. But to think that on turn 7 you are summoning a 3/3 taunt (and only if you hit this card on curve and your staff is stil alive) is pathetic....1 star card imo.
At least in wild it’s floor is 7 dmg. Maybe 5 or 6 depending on mana cheat. There are some wonky elemental lists even right now. And this slots in that.
Walking mountain on 9, opponent cant answer 16 health on their turn into crazed alchemist the mountain and 10+ attack minion with mega windfury hitting face the next turn.
I will never understand what the elemental mechanic is supposed to represent. Most other archetypes make sense, dragons look to the sky (your hand), undead use death and pirates raid with you (weapon synergy). What does curve gameplay represent in elementals?
playing one each turn, simultenously playing elementals means that the one you play the next turn supposedly triggers a decent effect. it's always been like this.
The problem with any Control Shaman is that they don't have a consistent wincon other than horn of the windlord + attack buffs, and it has inferior value generators / inevitability compared to the other control classes. Trusty companion is insane considering it's a better Hand of Adal and that thing got nerfed, will likely be slotted into totem shaman if no new archetypes spawn (likely won't until a miniset) since mistake / tour guide into Trusty is huge early tempo, and it's card draw that does not need to cook in your hand like the Famished Fool.
people are forgetting crazed alchemist is in standard for living mountain. a 4/16 is difficult to clear, you play it down and next turn you could just win off of the two cards
No, echo cards are considered new cards and don’t gain bonus effects that the original spell had unless it’s an arua. The murloc is a battlecry, so nothing special would happen.
Ok I'll probably play Murloc Shaman in Wild, I don't think I've ever disenchanted murlocs, you can always throw in a bunch of random ones and they work out decently enough for ladder
It's not though, it's not a swing. It does't help you if you are low on life, it doesn't even have taunt. If it would heal, or at least had taunt you could argue for it, but it's trash as it is.
@@viktordoe1636it does clear the board(excluding divine shields, deathrattles, reborns, weapons.. and having the skarr dmg high enough) but yeah payoff doesn't seem good enough
you always have to take turns off to use removal or something else, either your deck is some pile of 25+ elementals or its not going to work when you need it
I know you’re moving away from large editing but I would recommend still putting together a bit more of a thumbnail, even if you start using a templated format.
Am I the only person that thinks Skarr looks kinda insane? It shouldn't be too hard to make a deck consisting mostly of elementals with some good spells on top of it in shaman. The ability to push so much face damage while removing enemy board feels like sth from duels.
I mean, if you played highlander shaman, you would play Doctor Holli'dae because it's above curve but it's not enough so to make you play the deck. 45/45 in stats over 9 turns is so slow. Jade druid is faster since you can play multiple a turn and it certainly wouldn't be good enough today because of power creep.
Jade were several cards, this is a single card and they all have taunt so the small frogs will be useful in a control deck keeping you and minons safe. Once you're at 3/3 getting one for free every turn is crazy strong + the 2 dmg.
Heartstone died the day they made Wild and Standard format. But I still return to these videos whenever new cards return to admire all of the top tier card art and witty flavour text. One look at Trusty Companion and I just want it as a poster in my room!
It's insane how every time Shaman has a meta deck, the class gets nerfed into the ground within 2 weeks. Druid, Rogue, Mage, Hunter are allowed to have super strong and popular decks every expansion, but Shaman are only allowed a T1 deck for 2 weeks every other year.
Druid just got nerfed into the ground after 4 weeks being among the strongest ;) Rogue and hunter are imo the disgusting classes that are always allowed to be strong
I'm calling it: Doctor Holli'dae is garbage and highlander Shaman is unplayable. It already restricts your deck and you need it on curve and you need your opponent to neither run Viper nor draw it and you need that you can afford to play a 5 Mana 4/5 and you need to not die for the next 5 turns until your frogs do anything and and and...thats such garbage it really is. Skarr is also garbage, there is no way you ramp this up like Denathrius, 6-7 dmg is the absolute ceiling and again it requires to restrict your deck to at least 20+ elementals, play elementals every turn if you want it or not just to get this card from trash tier to a worse Mordresh.... Walking Mountain on the other hand is quite good as you can dump him on an empty board to always threaten lethal as well. Its a good late game card for any control deck and it is absolutely insane in evolve decks (also thunderbringer can pull it out)
I’m genuinely curious if Trump is depressed or not. I know it’s nothing but I miss the intros to each video being themed and this is just not it. What happened bro pretty girl break your heart ?
Amphibious Elixir: 2 mana, Discover 5 Health. Restore a spell. 5 stars.
My favorite part of Walking Mountain is the name is obviously meant to evoke the 8-mana 4/8 Walking Fountain. Very good flavor on their part
Discover 5 health,discover a spell,that’s 10 stars right there😮
Another way to calculate the total of such a sequence is to add the lowest an highest value together, then multiply by half the length of the sequence: (1+9)*(9/2)=45
trusted companion is absolutely nuts for totem shaman also.
Trusty Companion is Hand of A'dal buffed, it must be broken in all decks...
Super strong for tribe type decks
The flavor text for walking praire 😂
Walking Mountain is obviously going in Big Shaman and ut looks insane for that deck honestly, maybe it will terrorize Wild for a while
Discovering 5 health sounds pretty busted

ye thats soooo weird to have both of those in the same set. ye its onesides boardclear, but it takes so much luck to get it to significant numbers
Just give it Lifesteal.

Death knight: we cant possibly push all three/four runes at once so here is some rainbow deck cards for this expansion
Shaman: how about we make cards for a highlander deck a nature spell deck and a elemental deck at the same time! what could go wrong?
A faster maths trick is that there are 9 consecutive numbers. The middle number is 5. Multiple 5 by 9. 45.
finding the middle number is so unintuitive, gauß is more elegant with (n+1) * (n/2), so 10 * 4.5 = 45
no dominant archetype in the present seems like a good fit for a highlander class, you can mix and match a few best things from different styles and dont have to play the worse fillers. maybe reno is insane but other classes dont really wanna cut their good cards down, but shaman can afford it.
Yeah how come dehydrate doesn’t have a nature tag??
Not sure if my sound setup but there is some weird high pitched resonance in this video.
Doctor Holli'dae is 5 mana 4/5 battlecry: summon a bad rattlegore and equip a battlestick. Doesn't sound enough to push Reno shaman.
Trusty Companion is Hand of A'dal buffed...
Why is there NOTHING for BBB-Deathknight?

skarr's ceiling is just a tumbleweed! that goes face lol, but man its floor is low.
At least in wild it’s floor is 7 dmg. Maybe 5 or 6 depending on mana cheat. There are some wonky elemental lists even right now. And this slots in that.

a 4/16 is difficult to clear, you play it down and next turn you could just win off of the two cards
Sure, but in what world can you just drop a 9 mana minion and end turn? This isn’t 2016 Grandpa
If you believe in the heart of the cards (and you are rank 20) everything is possible.
what happends if you cast cactus cutter, draw unstable evolution, and you cast it multiple times? it gets +1/+2 multiple times?
No, echo cards are considered new cards and don’t gain bonus effects that the original spell had unless it’s an arua. The murloc is a battlecry, so nothing special would happen.

Ah yes, elementals in shaman, COMPLETELY NEW. Never seen an elemental package in shaman in the HISTORY of hearthstone. No sir.
:( elemental shaman fun though
Is it just me coming back to the game after a while, or are rhe flavour texts on these new cards more lame than usual?
