This happened years ago. The original video went viral with 500k+ views on my old channel, and over 100 million on facebook. Tons of the comments complained about a transition edit I had put in there and claimed that because I used any edit at all that the whole thing was fake. So here is the video with the RAW footage. Maybe now you'll all shut up.

the explosion goes beep like it's a CoD game
It took around 4-5 seconds for the Molotov to fall so the mineshaft appears to be about 150 meters deep, so the flame front was traveling upwards of 30m/s (5ish seconds from bottom to top). This means that every square metre of area is experiencing 30 kilograms of air traveling a 30m/s. Now I know nothing of fluid dynamics, but this is probably enough force that it seems plausible that you where thrown especially if you ran or jumped away.

Specially since it seemed like it was traumatic for him, I wouldn’t be surprising if he was exaggerating how far he was thrown. My only comment on your work is you made the assumption that he would be hit by that amount of force, however he was not actually inside the mineshaft so it would have had some space to diffuse before reaching him.

I was initially in disbelief that someone could be thrown but with a shit ton of assumptions on my part:
I have no idea how that force would spread out once it left the hole, or whether the flame front was accelerating as it went up (which now that I think about it is likely), how air flows around a human body and how well it carries force (as well as a bunch of stuff I probably didn't even consider)
But yeah, the amount of force does seem in the ballpark to lift someone (assuming I underestimated in my calculations) (terminal velocity is 50m/s so 50m/s wind is enough to fully lift someone).
yrrr I got around 125m for the depth of the mineshaft and around 40m/s for the velocity of the gas/flame. I this is definitely plausible assuming he exaggerated some, I forget how far he was thrown back but I saw some comment saying he has said 15 feet. This is definitely not possible but I think having been thrown back some distance is very likely.
It's fake guys, it's basic human physiology that doesn't add up here.
A force that can throw a man "5 feet up and 15 feet back" is when you start to get your limbs ripped apart from your body.
If that was a real explosion he would have absolutely 100% suffered a concussion and completely ruptured eardrums at the very LEAST of his injuries. The loudness of the explosion would be extremely high as well, you'd hear it recorded. The aftermath video showed nothing of such sort. The blood is easily made with make-up.
There was no explosion in this video, you can be sure about it.

Unless this video was recorded in FLV if the camera's battery was knocked so hard the device lost power then the recording should've been corrupted. MP4 videos will be corrupt if power is cut whilst rendering them. I'm calling BS

People aren't "offended because of the transition". They're "offended" because you claimed "RAW FOOTAGE" when it is not, in fact, raw footage. You should've just posted this as "Repost with explanation" instead of trying to bait people in for views. This is the most balanced out like-dislike ratio I've ever seen. I liked, because while I wish the camera would have actually recorded it, the shockwave from that blast DEFINITELY would have knocked that camera off. Explosion + tight space + opening on top = bad day for anything in the path of the opening.
It was basically a gun firing, except there was no bullet and only gas.

nope, I was born with this natural ability to bleep out my own swearwords on the spot
you overexaggerated the aftermath. While little cuts and scrapes are definitely gonna happen and so will knocking the camera off hard enough to shut it off, the battery grip doesn't seem probable and getting blown a few feet back is totally not true. You can see that immediately after, that the camera was just shut off mere seconds before you even got blewn off, which proves that the camera didn't get knocked to the ground and then shut down. Now, getting a destroyed lens actually might happen if shrapnel was lucky enough to not hit you, but unlucky enough to hit the camera lens, which of course was facing down. Now to the injuries part, again, scrapes and bruises might have happened, and i totally agree and know it happened, but a broken hand and getting completly blown off? If you were blown off onto concrete, yes broken hand, but if you we're blown off then you wouldn't even be alive.

When I was younger, I thought it was a good idea to throw rocks other trash down a hole. I found this mini propane tank and I tossed it down and I physically saw the flames rising and I ran. The grate itself jumped a good 2-3 feet off the ground and I felt the explosion 10feet away from the hole.

Why are people complaining about this awesome video
Cameras don't just stop recording before getting hit by a blast of warm air. The lens might get dirt on it, or shatter because of the fast temperature change, the pressure wave might override the microphone for a split second, yes, but a camera only stops recording when the battery pack or/and the electronics get damaged, which takes a lot of time when not thrown into hot lava. Don't get fooled people. Think.

If I had to guess at what happened, the bottle broke and put its own fire out, which allowed the fuel to spread out into a fine fuel-air mixture. Once the settling mixture reached the fire that was still going from the previous drop, it explosively ignited, much like a fuel-air bomb.
That explanation makes the most sense out of everything that’s been guessed so far

@@drixy7205 Were you expecting the footage to go dark after the explosion? Last thing it was aimed at was a fiery explosion, so of course the last frame is gonna be a frame of blinding light. There also was nothing suggesting that everyone got up immediately, it could have been a while before they recovered the camera.
