The slight difference in diffs might be an advantage, it means with the clutch in the transfer case fully engaged the rear wheels will still transmit more torque than the front.
I wish Ford would do AWD Mustangs, that would be an awesome thing to see happen. I want to AWD swap the 85 F150 I have that needs a total restoration. Can't imagine how much that would take in terms of money and time tho. It is amazing that you have built this AWD Mustang. I cannot wait to see where it goes.
Probably will happen only on the hybrid models if they ever come out, just like a Corvette E-Ray, due to increasingly tight emissions regulations (although Trump said he will ease them). So far, while AWD hasn't been announced, Ford has so far announced the development of a hybrid, 4-door and off-road Mustang. The only obvious AWD version would be the last one. While I wouldn't want AWD in a muscle car as it would defy tradition, let's hope the hybrid variants will offer it for those that want it.
Oh also BTR makes a bolt-in 8500rpm Ls valvetrain kit(4.10x3.31 or 3.26 stroke)...oh the possibilities 😊. Also there's adapters to run an Ls7 intake manifold for port injection....I think using a piggyback setup like you use on a bmw to ADD both to keep it better drivable as well as a clean intake port and allow more hp without overdriving the di pump. Just use a swirl twin pump pot to feed it. I figure 800whp would be perfect in that setup with the weight. If turbo'd a scramble function could take you to 1000+/-whp if/when needed
I don't quite get it either. You would think I would at least get close to my subscriber numbers, especially since I am gaining subscribers daily. Any suggestions?
@npvg I watched a video from Mathias Wende explaining that few years ago youtube changed and your videos are only suggested for ~25% of your subscribers. Honestly, idk what you can do, maybe if make some shitty and stupid video and you may become the next Mr. Beast?! But I rather to keep watching your great content. I think with enough time people will start to watch, there are many people with amazing content that took a long time before the start to be "famous", This old Tony took almost 7 years, and he is amazing!
Subbed, i would love to do this to an cts-4 caddy. Use an 8hp70 trans awd or what you did(maybe with a magnum t56). The whole front assembly is already awd AND may allow a factory ls 4wd or awd pan, etc to make matchups easier and use an Ls V8. I think a sequentially shifted 8spd(love mine in my bmw) with possible trans brake would be awesome. Question would be supercharged or turbo. It would benefit from factory bolt on big brakes and easy suspension setups. Custom widebody would be another thing. Cool though much like your incredible project
I've probably listened this whole series like 3 times now while working. I'm taking notes, please continue.
Thanks!
TH-cam isn’t notifying even if subscribed! Really loving this build and your explanations behind everything
I had the same issue. I am glad I saw it in my subscribed channel list.
I just look through my subscribe list every day. TH-cam is terrible at consistently notifying.
another great ep sir
I cant wait to see the rest of the videos.

This is true. I few modern AWD cars, like the Acura SH-AWD, GR Corolla, Focus RS have different final ratios front and back for that very reason.
This is awesome!

Keep up the hardwork you are doing a great job . I have to give a lot of respect for your fabrication skills!!

Another watcher is working on an AWD CTS. That would be a cool project. A 2nd Gen CTS-V with AWD and manual transmission would be a riot!
Harold he's a friendly guy, he rambles on and on, he'll talk the balls off a rhinosaurus.
Great progress Tim!
i'm always sad to see the low view numbers in your videos, I would like you to keep going... I love your videos!

It’s coming through quite nicely. Keep the updates coming. I enjoy seeing your attention to details.
Much appreciated
Roll 'em!!!
Still cant wait to see it done.
I am getting very close, stay tuned.

There is room to compress to shorten, however you will end up with a lot of steering shaft rattle going over bumps.
ask me how I know..... :/
Next project, add Symmetrical AWD to a BRZ to make it match all other Subaru models.
That would be cool!
Wheres the kit?
Wonder what it would take to do a dual clutch gt500 awd?
With enough effort, anything is possible:) Thanks for watching!
Hey names John and I would like to discuss some of the machining work you are doing. Is there a way to contact you?
Look at my channel homepage, there is an email address.
