I got one and i have used mine for a month now here are some points.
1 The gps is a hit or miss, some have reported to it working and some not, for me it doesnt work and yes i have enabled it in the settings, this is critical since some of my banking apps require gps services to work, perhaps they will fix it in the future.
2 The sharp edges are annoying and after i have seen some teardowns of the phone, the sharp edges are completely unnecessary, im thinking of actually 3dprinting a new shell myself.
3 the vibration motor is absolute ass and makes annoying sounds when used so even having it on for using the keyboard is not nice at all.
4 the EQ in the audio app is kinda buggy atm and turns itself off from time to time, i also wished it only applied itself when playing music so it excluded the in-call sound and ringtones etc.
5 wireless charging would be nice.
6 the battery could have been bigger, as the phones feel really thin in the hand and since it allready has a big "camera" bump i wished they tried to tone down that bump a little and then made the entire phone the same thickness while using the extra space for battery and wireless charging.
7 the output power of the 4.4mm is absolutely insanely high on a phone and its awesome since even with a pair of highly demanding iem's you will have a lot of headroom even for eq.
8 both the audio jacks are sturdy and all cables seat deep in there and dont feel like they will fall out (yes this is a problem of some phones, looking at you lg v-series).
With the prise to take into consideration i think the phone is a somewhat good deal and even more now that both lg and asus rog stopped either making phones or removed their good amp/dac the single only phone on the market that fits as a good "audiophile" phone is the moondrop one.
If the points i mentioned were to be changed or addressed in a moondrop miad02 then id recommend that one more, and for them to increase the prise about 20% for better quality id still think it would be a good deal.

Is this MIAD 01 better than a LG V60 just in terms of audio?

    • @Lolle9999
      @Lolle9999 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@alejandrocafe8238 dunno, dont have a v60.
in terms of quality they should be about the same i believe, however the miad has a whole lot more power at 4vrm's in the 4.4mm jack.
It also doesnt have the auto detect impedance mode thing that the lg has so that means that you will have 2vrm's at the 3.5mm jack at all times unlike you do on the lg when you use something with less than 50 ohms headphones

I really love the concept and I like what they've tried to do. I don't think this is product I woud buy *yet*. I'll probably be in the market for a new phone in 3-4 years thanks to planned obsolescence of the last Google phone I will ever buy, and I really hope a V2 or 3 with the bugs ironed out will be on the market. I'd even be willing to pay a slight (read - $100 max) price increase for a well polished product with a better chipset. Save for the chipset they've nailed everything I want. With a gaming ready chipset I'll buy it.

Anything shorter n wider than current phones yet?
Have a mate 20x/7.2". Something shorter(less top heavy) and a bit wider would be interesting (like a single duo2 screen).

The design idea was good, but not executed properly.
It should have had a 4.7" flat screen. and the lower part of the body a little thicker, to keep a decent size battery.
    Oh well...

Deal breaker is that it is coming with android 13 when 14 is out and soon 15. Also it probably wont come to EU and have the 4G band B20
Kind of expensive also for the specs it come with. for like over 100 euro less and get Poco X6 that should be around same performance and have the 3.5mm jack.
I have Poco F5 with 3.5mm jack but that dont support FM radio sadly. But then again i listen trough internet without the static with the radio waves that are polluted with all types of waves.
But still a good phone if it has headphone jack. Phones without headphone jack are creating a lot of e-waste where wireless are easy to lose so need to buy new and also their batteries cant be changed so they dont have long life. I use one pair of headphones with wire for over 10 years already.
