Hi Terry, love your show, but your reviews on the rane one, is nothing close to the numark ns7ii and the ns7ii series. Remember that numark ns7ii has been out since over ten years now, and the rane one is just a copy of the numark. To me numark started the motorized controller first and did an excellent job it. To me the numark is still the best dj motorized controller out there.
@@djsolidjoelokunorobo5213 thanks for the show compliment, but it’s not my job to convince you to buy this over a Ns7, only to talk about THIS unit. That’s for you to decide.
Great video! I've watched all the others from Digital DJ Tips, Crossfader but I don't commit to a product until Cleveland gives a thumbs up! I have a denon prime 4 and prime go, so i'm invested into the denon eco system HOWEVER...this controller just looks like so much fun to use. I like not having to bring a computer with me to events but this has really got me thinking...
This controller is for the Dj’s whose heart is turntables. I’ve never felt at ‘home’ even on the 1000SRT. They’re not much fun imo. Sure they work great and get the job done. I Dj full time, and have been long over lugging turntables to gigs 2-4 times a week. This controller seems to be exactly what mobile vinyl Dj’s have been wanting for a long time. Mine is on pre order, I’m just waiting for it to ship and it can’t come fast enough. Respect, T. Mad respect.
mi friend has the STR good controller but now you have to push a second botton to beatloop, thats not cool. I'll wanted to go with rane but the FX board lacks, I'll keep using my old SZ... till it dies.
25 year turntable guy. Looking to finally make a move , I have played on a few of my buddies controllers , I couldn't even beat match! I'm so programmed to the platter adjusting for beat matching. As I have read, this seems to be my best option. I don't use effects really and am a real old school type dj. So if this one is the closest feel to a few tech 12s, it seems like this is my best option. Anyone have any input on this, I'm all ears. Thanks for the video my man. First time here.
Just purchased this and am new to the controller world. Have been following this channel for a while now and I love the way you are being honest and helpful with your reviews. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Merry Christmas 🎄
Turns out. This is not true. After a few months with my Rane One. Its solid. But one of my decks isnt keeping up now. I see a change coming. Theres about to be a full uproar about the Rane One now... for the price point. I am shocked. I love the Rane One. And with very small wear and tear. Im beginning to see issues you dont see with sub 1k gear. RANE ran one on us. I think. I dont think it was intentional as I think they intended to put out a wealth product. But whoever was in charge of the FX might have been the same person who cut corners on the drive of the platters. And they should be fired. Because there is so much that is great about this. But Im starting to think. From a professional standpoint. That the 1000srt is better. For performance. There is a level of unreliability to the rane. That makes it feel over prices. I was happy in my first few months. Took great care of mine. And im starting to have very peculiar issues with it. Which you dont see in other controllers. I like the Ranes tank like structure. But the performance has faded in a way that I honestly am baddle by after owning it for only 6 months. My DDJ SR2 did better from a performance standpoint. I dont know why this is. But for the money. I expect more out of Rane.
You do not need a dedicated “silent cue” for the Rane one. It stops and starts on a dime. It does not spin up like a turntable. Just pressing start on high torque acts as silent cue would or you can press your cues pad and then reach over and hit start. It responds just like a dedicated silent cue.
You always do a great job with your reviews. When Cleveland Terry speaks I listen... this controller is great to me and I’m getting it. I currently have an NS7II.
Good job great review Terry, I just picked mine up yesterday. This controller is a BEAST !!!!!! I also have the DDJ 1000 I'm thinking about selling my 1000 now.
My wife got me a 70 for Christmas and I was already looking for a controller. Like your said... Should be a comfortable transition. Perfect home and away set up.
Thank you for the great review. I have been djing about a year and change and feel like I outgrew the basic pioneer controller I have been using . I have one of these on the way today and I am confident and happy with my purchase. Thank you sir .
I've been using the Numark ns72 and ns73 for several years now more than7 years and I love them both. I simply need an update so after 6 months with the rane I'll hit you back up and let you know how it goes. Thanks for the review.
I just got mine today..... Finally! :D really really impressed with the build quality and CAN'T keep my hands off of it! I absolutely love this controller❤️🤟🤟
Great review! Sorry I didn’t say it n the first post. I was waiting for you to review the Rane one as well. Definitely one of the good guys in the community whose word is trustworthy!
@@ClevelandTerryThanks for the response..Arg! I just replaced my G7's for Canon M50's.. I bought the ATEM mini pro since I'm switching to Apple M1.. Great work on the review.
The Rane one is just a 2 channel Numark NS7iii. It uses all the same technology the NS7 used including the motor drives.Only advancements are two usb ports for dual laptops & dual XLR outs. The NS7iii is still Bro& supported by the latest Serato.
I just received my Rane One and have been using my Numark NS7III for the past few years. The NS7III is not portable!! I've been breaking my damn back for years lugging it around. Do I still like the Numark, yes, but I'm so excited to have the same feel, better responsivness in a compact, lighter version of what I've been using. I still need to get used to the layout compared to the NS7, but I'm sure it won't take long. Thanks for your reviews on the Rane One!
Weighty. Ha ha Mr Cleveland Terry. You have been Killing the Guest Dj Interviews. I would like to see you do an international artist DJ YUTO.(goldies runner up) vs Medina. His transitions are dope.Do some research sir & let me know what you think.
Very nice review. What I don’t like about the Rane One, and all other DJ controllers, is I’ve never heard any DJ sound good using any DJ controller. By “sound good,” I’m talking about the sound of the mic and the EQ section of the DJ controller. The best sounding DJs I’ve heard always use an external mixer. Why can’t Rane and others use good quality mic preamps, a gain/trim knob, and a volume knob or slide for the mic channels? Why can’t they use good quality EQ circuitry. I wish they wouldn’t build these units half-assed. Give me a DJ controller with no mic inputs and no EQ circuitry for use with an external mixer or give me a DJ controller with good mic pre-amps, gain/trim knobs, and volume controls on the mic channels (and as many as 4 mic inputs) and good quality EQ circuitry so I can use the controller as intended - on its own without the need for an external mixer!
Great review but I bought the Rane One but I’m sending it back. I totally agree with you about having a beat display but as a so-called “controller” I feel that there should be a bpm screen on there as well and also a display/labels showing you what fx you’re using, especially coming from the rane 70/72 and even the pioneer 1000srt. A dedicated sampler volume control is also missing but I midi mapped it to the mic 2 volume. I just believe that rane will put out another controller later with some digital displays so we don’t have to look at our laptops as much lol but it’s still a dope controller for their first one! I’m going to wait and see what Rane puts out next as a controller!
Thank you this. I too was waiting for you to get your hands on the new Rane and give a review. I respect your opinion on gear and wanted to know what you thought after getting your hands on it.
I finally got one! Cant say that it feels as responsive as vinyl for scratching (for me) but I think thats because Im rusty and also need to get used to the fact that they are only 7's but what a cool piece of machinery. Im looking forward to getting used to it and getting my battle-scratch game on :) Great honest review - I subscribed :)
Question, at the 10:45 mark, I noticed when you demonstrated the pitch bend of slowing it down or speeding up, the pitch gets affected and does not keep the pitch locked as it normally does. It seems to lock after you finish slowing or speeding up. This does not happen on turntables using Serato, of course. I don't recall the 12 doing this either. This seems to happen regardless if motors are on or off. Also, if you move the pitch slider quickly, you will also hear the pitch move, even though Pitch N Time is keeping the tempo. Have you noticed the very obvious pitch bend adjustment and it not keeping the pitch locked as it should, and only affecting tempo, even when "bending" slowly or fastly?
This is a REALLY nice controller. I currently use an NS7iii and it is A Giant and HEAVY. If I can find a buyer I'd pull the trigger on this controller no doubt. BTW, a great review. Keep up the good work CT.
I’ve got a Numark NS7 II and in the past I said what’s the point of me even looking at the Rane One. My NS7 is now playing up. Plus Serato no longer supports it (So, no stems) I now own a Rane One. I’ve got full stem control on the pads by replacing the slicer with stems in the Serato settings. Once you go stems you won’t want to go back. I love this controller.
Great review. The Rane One is in a class by itself ; if you're still using a laptop. I have been using Denon decks; because of the moving platter. I've gotten use to not having a computer. It's a freedom indescribable. Lol. Also the Prime 4 is excellent. True standalone is lovely.
top one ,, just over a year ago , I picked up a ns7 one , previous owner had to give it up because of an mac os update (mac os updates best time to look out for preowned gear ) lol .. this has addressed the gripe that the ns7 is too heavy . i am happy practising , on the 7 for now , and will differently consider side grading to this controller after covid , I see quite a few grumbles about the price , to many people expect champagne for lemonade money . anyhow , what are people doing with the money that the current situation is preventing from spending , time to turn these day's from negative to positive lol .
It will. It’s slightly smaller. Just bigger in depth. So you’d have to take off the “legs” to have it sit flat in case. Especially if your case has a glide shelf.
What kind of answer was it by Rane that they said that the One got the 2-band EQ because professional users gonna use it 😄 I mean, do they think that the Rane 70 is just used by bedroom DJs 😅?!?! Wtf???
Is there a way you can add for example a CDJ to use as a third Deck? Obviously you only have controls on the One for decks 1 & 2 but could you map the CDJ to act as a 3rd Deck 'Layer' like some of the entry controllers SB3 or Roland 202 that only have 2 channels but decks 3 and 4 using layers???
I don’t understand the hate. Great review and I love your vibe man. One thing I can’t understand how nobody noticed or mentioned - there’s no dedicated knob for the SAMPLER volume. That’s one of the most basic thing on all controllers. It’s not a matter of a price, I just think that’s a really really good enrty level scratch controller. A niche of it’s on. Keep up the good work. Gonna search for the Prime 4 review.
Beeen waiting for Cleveland to get his hands on this! Sad though canceled my preorder because the backlog. And until we get gigs again purchase didn’t make sense
I think the reason why the sound you hear when the platter spins is because of the fan at the back side is active....the numark ns7lll does the same thing when you turn on either side of the motor the fan at the rear side will kick on and when you turn off the motor the fan will turn off but I could be wrong about the rane one but I know the ns7lll does this type of thing.
Excellent review man!. One of the best I have watched. Really don’t understand why they didn’t just do a tension control on the outside of the mixer Knowing that a lot of scratch DJs will be using this. I think you brought up a really good point about not having the beats per minute visual with the effects. But overall this thing is pretty sweet.
totally agree with you we don't need 4 channels, but they did lack in the FX area, one nob for both channels and all 6 FX is not OK. also it would be awsome to pitch bend and scrat with motor funtion on...
Hello... I was initially super stoked to see this release. I am still pretty stoked , and this will be a great unit for a lot of DJs. You touched on a few of my main issues with this unit... I do use 3 decks, and the 4th for an Aux. external input... the scratchbank feature could MOSTLY eliminate the need for the 3rd deck, but not completely. I use the Auxiliary as well as 2 mics, so the Aux/Mic implimentation on this I think is the dealbreaker. You mentioned the switches, no talkover, etc... and the auxiliary taking one microphone slot... that I just don't think I want to work around, not for 1500 bucks. Here's to hoping this sells really well, and gets Rane some great feedback... making them have incentive to update it with a future Rane Two or something... better Mic implimentation, with nicer switches, would be a huge plus. An Aux that was separate from the mics,.with a cue function, could possibly eliminate the need for more than 2ch on the mixer... I get this aux will work fine for some folks running looped beats to practice to, etc... and for most.other folks this unit would be workable...so I do see this selling well for Rane. The hardware effects you mentioned, even just a somewhat simple inbuilt effects unit would be great, allowing thimgs like echo out on an analog input would be a big plus... Aside from those things, and hoping for a Rane Two in the future.... a Rane Four could easily be a bit bigger, about the same size as the 1000 or other 4ch controllers, and impliment those extra features...that would be sweet, especially if there is no NS7 IV in the works... I'd live to see the decks made into separates... Seven decks, with a full pad section, and looping controls, stop adjust, etc...that would be completely awesome, then a Rane Serato mixer without the pads and such, freeing up plenty of room to make the mixer plenty awesome, and even a bit cheaper than the Seventy... maybe a Rane Fifty mixer..... a setup lile that , a Rane Fifty/Seven ....would be soooo awesome, and named just about perfect...lol Thanks for the great review... I'm going to have to stick with my current setup a bit longer while I decide what is truly the next best update to my workflow.... thankfully the buold of MC7000 is pretty solid, and the flight case should help it last a few more years, of needed...
Great review Terry. I like you did thing in your review I have not saw with your details and I saw a ton of them while comparing if I was going to buy the Rave Twelves vs Rane One so I like how you should it with the 12. I get my mine on Friday 30. I been rocking with Techs 1200's since 1984 still work great still original pop up lights but minus the scratches and feet being taped on they play and work great.I know this sound crazy but I feel bad leaving the Techs they are so comfortable to me and all I know never rocked a controlla I hope I made the right buy. I love that Rane put the sep bass and treble on mics again I hate the tone on my Rane 70 the mics do not sound as good as my TTM57 I felt bad having to retire that the summer 07/20 also but damn that 70 is a beast!. I went with the 12's because I also bought from ZZOUNDS love the payment plan and the Rane One is not instock but I felt Rane is holding back on features some complaints you mentioned and I just feel like buy July there will be a new Rane controlla out with the features that every is wanting they have to to keep with Pioneer DJ. So for now I will have my fun with the Rane 12's and maybe I will buy one later ONE MKII lol. PS I just bought the Neural Pro and best $50 I spent in a long time if you don't want to buy Virt DJ you may want to do a review on that love the price and ease to use on the fly. but thants again for what you do I been waiting for your review on this.
Cleavland I think you buried the lead a little bit. This is the first controller with paddles!!! I wonder if all the other controllers will adopt paddles??? I have kind of told myself that I won’t upgrade controllers until I get paddles. Moving platters are awesome but it’s been done already.
Hi Terry I love my music and I do my djing in doors but I need a proper controller because mine is very old numark n4. Can you recommend a controller that one day I can go beyond house/bedroom djing. Thanks
Nice review, my personal opinion is no one has ever changed the violin...if your a scratch dj stick to 1210s, obviously use a updated mixer etc...but the initial instruments where always tops...love your reviews always very helpful...stay safe 🙏
Actually the violin has been changed quite a few times. Your analogy was a swing and a miss. Actually, every string instrument is an adaptation of an ancient string instrument (chordophone)chords phone. Things adapt over time. It's okay. The original will always be best for those who learned on originals. The adaptations will always seem best to those who learned on adaptations. Simple as that.
The 1210s themselves are adaptation. All turntables are adaptations of phonographs. Im sure the people from that time would be appalled to see us scratching on phonograph adaptations... Try not to be like those people and embrace change.
I saw your video, I like the information you provided, could you provide me with what capacity do I need on my computer to support the serato program with this controller? I would appreciate it in advance. I await your answer and good mixes.
Love this controller my first rane product I use 1200s and pioneer mixer plus used a ns7 2 until it stopped working few weeks ago , having so much fun with it I can deal with onboard effects as I used the ns7 for years only one bad point for me the lay out of the load buttons but will get use to it in a few weeks
Ok Terry maybe u can help me out i can't figure out what i'm doing wrong,, I have my rane one going to my computer and now my rane 12 going to my computer as well i have DVS mode enabled and i went from INT to REL on the left side where my rane is,, but nothing is working the rane 12 if i hit play spins but nothing else,, no sound the hot cues don't work it's just dead air and nothing works. could u possibly help me out n tell me where i messed up... Pretty please
Your Deck on the your left hand side has the pitch control and Up fader which looks in close proximity .Whats your take on that seeing you have the product with you .
Hi Cleveland my bruva ! I'm old school and collect rare breaks . I guess I'm very much underground & avoid any trends in music that becomes too popular . I like how technology is progressing but in terms of hip hop I feel one aspect of this mighty black culture that's getting diluted is scratching . Like I'm still traumatised by the Herculoid Dj Whiz kid & the great Dj Jazzy Jay & Dj Cash Money . So even I like chopping cutting I don't like how these middle class kids think they the next Dj Q Bert . So I want a controller to mix put on sound effects spin back reverse sounds but keep it organic & not sound like next kid on the block ( let them kill hip hop ) I want to enhance that organic feel & work on my offbeat 's . So brother would you recommend the Rane 1 ? Or is it just for the scratching market ?
Good review and what the DJ world needs to realize is that Numark bought Rane years ago, so of course they are gonna make a version from the ns7 series. The ns62 was a minature version of the ns73, minus the spinning platters and this is no different, just a smaller version of the Rane 12. If you are a talented DJ, stick to what you know and good at and focus on practice, getting gigs, especially right now with what's going on in our genre, due to the pandemic. Best bet, wait for what's next and see where this tech in djing is headed. Stay safe and keep up the good reviews.
Appreciate the review and giving us honest feedback about what you like and don't like. I was probably getting one anyway unless people would have shown that it sucks. I went from an NS7 I to the V7s because the NS7 | plus case was about70 pounds. And just because you can carry something doesn't mean you should :-p The V7s were a lot more manageable. Then I saw your review on the RANE Twelve and felt like it was a worthy "upgrade" to my V7s as I really don't need a whole lot of bells and whistles. Then you come out with a video saying not to spend any money and then the RANE One drops (Gee, thanks Cleveland :-| -- fortunately I was able to return the RANE Twelve and order the RANE One so all is forgiven). A lot of people have been waiting for something like this--basically a more carry-friendly NS7 with a nicer crossfader and platters, excellent sound quality, professional-grade connections, etc. I think RANE got it just right with giving basically a more portable RANE Twelve and 70 like setup--all for the price of one RANE 70 (so I'm not understanding why people are complaining about the price--a Traktor S4 costs $999 if you want a cheaper all-in-one motorized platter option). Thanks again Cleveland for keep it informative and keeping it honest.
As most controllers, it’s all about the bells and whistles for playing and mixing music. As a DJ/MC, how does the mic sound? Would the auxiliary input, where the mic is, work with an external mixer just for the mic?
Always dope reviews! Thank you! I wonder how hard it would be for rane to integrate the DDJ-SB2 style tech where you have control over 4 decks with 2 channels? Same sleek layout but more creative options...
Hey, I'm thinking of getting this one or the Pioneer one (500 bucks cheaper is almost the reason I would go for this one). I just want to know whether a Techno/Tech House DJ that dóes do a bit of scratching, should get one of these. I do like the 1000SRT, but that one is almost 2100 bucks where I am (due to stock issues) which will not get any better in the next 6-7 months. Hope you or someone else gets back to me. The club I work at, told me that I should stick to Pioneer DJ, but coming from a Denon DJ setup and then moving to Pioneer DJ just because it fit my budget, I'm game for a Rane.
Have you tested if the knob for the effects controls the wet/dry in single mode as well? I'm definitely a user of the echo fx in many different instances so i need an echo with a low cut/hpf on it and it seems the only way to get that in SDJ Pro is to go into single mode with the echo and adjust the hpf just like i would on any mixer that has built in efx.....if the knob on the One also controls the wet/dry knob in the software even when you go into single mode then that would be perfect for me!!! That or Serato needs to add like a new low cut echo to their list of effects tbh
I know you recommended not to update to the new M1 Macbook pro. However, I have a late 2011 Macbook pro and it doesn't work at all with the Rane One DJ Controller. In general this old Macbook has a lot of issues. Therefore, I have no other option than upgrading. Do you or anyone else have any advice how to use the Rane One with the M1 Macbook pro? Many thanks in advance.
My main question is can I connect my NS73 dashboard to the rain one. if you're not familiar with the dashboard the dashboard takes a lot of those visuals that you have to look in the computer and you can see it right there in front of you while you're DJing so you don't have to look up at the computer as much.
@pariscreative---" This seems to be a more recurring question so I had to test things out: 1) In Serato it does not matter. It likely expecting the NS7ii or NS7iii to be connected so even with things hooked up it wont work unless Serato makes some changes to that 2) In VDJ it does work, but with caveats: 2a) There is no place to mount the monitors directly on the One 2b) You have to deliver 12v/2a power to it. There is no power delivery mechanism on the controller
Finally, someone standing up to these TechNerds. Most DJs don't use four channels, so that shouldn't be an issue. Comparisons to a ten year old controller series is moot. If this isn't for you..fine. If you can't afford this controller..fine. Anything this new and expensive is bound to have new technology as well as upgrades and improvements. And it's way better looking than the older Numark series.
Great review CT as always! Just curious to know your thoughts on the mics not having an Echo or not being able to talk over? Do you think this will be fix on later versions?
I think Im going to pass on this unit.. not having a screen is kinda disappointing.. no talkover is lame. Cool Idea but but if they come out with a second version to it with all the kinks out then for sure itll be an instant cop. Thanks for taking the time out to review it!!
You are the truth when it comes to reviews..... You keep simple and understandable for use Neighborhood City DJ's that are community famous! Every product I have brought has been after I listen to your reviews and they have been correct every time. The times I did not listen to your reviews the product I got was crap. So now I am torn between getting this and my Mixtraxx3 PRO FX... That I am in love with but I think this is what I want cause I do use my NS7 for the studio only cause it is HEAVY ASS HELL... Flash back to the Coffin on wheels days when you had to have a roadie to help you with good sounding equipment. I am really leaning to make this purchase. Thanks again for your Knowledge.... DETROIT representing @DJBIGKAHUNADJ @DDHTRADIO
I went to try it in a shop and it is really fun to play with. On the other hand, I have been very disappointed by the upfaders. So I am wondering if it is possible to replace them with other Mag Four faders for exemple ? It is also a shame that the tension adjustment for the cross fader is only accessible from the inside...
Its not a controller I would buy but I just like CT approach to reviewing the gear not sure why some people are complaining you as the individual decide what you spend your money on reviews are just opinions and opinions vary person to person keep up the good work bruv
this lacks features basic 2 channel controllers have, you sound like a sell out now I'm unsubbing, not objective anymore

Silent cue isn’t necessary on the rane one because it starts immediately with no drag unlike standard turntables.

You do not need a dedicated “silent cue” for the Rane one.
It stops and starts on a dime. It does not spin up like a turntable. Just pressing start on high torque acts as silent cue would or you can press your cues pad and then reach over and hit start. It responds just like a dedicated silent cue.

Great review Terry. I like how you’re honest about the pros and cons. Well balanced and informative. 👊
I been waiting for a review from you
Great review bro, been my channel to go to for reviews on equipment. Double thumbs Up! Thank you
I've been using the Numark ns72 and ns73 for several years now more than7 years and I love them both. I simply need an update so after 6 months with the rane I'll hit you back up and let you know how it goes. Thanks for the review.
I just got mine today..... Finally! :D really really impressed with the build quality and CAN'T keep my hands off of it! I absolutely love this controller❤️🤟🤟
I been waiting!!! Let’s Go!!!👍🏾👍🏾
Very nice review. Thanks! RANE has been known for quality for decades now. This will be my next controller. Very excited to get my hands on one.
Great review! Sorry I didn’t say it n the first post. I was waiting for you to review the Rane one as well. Definitely one of the good guys in the community whose word is trustworthy!
Great review! What camera do you use for your overhead?
Panasonic lumix g7
@@ClevelandTerryThanks for the response..Arg! I just replaced my G7's for Canon M50's.. I bought the ATEM mini pro since I'm switching to Apple M1.. Great work on the review.
Been waiting on the review as well man. Love your content and honesty. I always watch you and dj city. Yup gonna get it. Just right for me.
Nice review & explanation. Thanks CT.
Terry excellent excellent review on product you answer a lot of questions of concerned about appreciate the information keep up the good work🎚🎛🎧🎙🎼
The Rane one is just a 2 channel Numark NS7iii.
You’re welcome.
Best review period! Can the USB B be used as an interface for streaming?
I want to know that as well.
Good review King! Very informative. In your opinion is this controller better than the NS7III?
Good take!
🤔 I wonder if my Numark Dashboard would be the solution for a digital display?? Hmmmm...
@@djgemineye there is a video on utube with a guy taking his numark screens & plugging them up to his rane one
Reviews is really where you shine bro. Great work!!
Great review, are the legs detachable?
Technically yes, they are just screwed in to the base.
True standalone is lovely.
prime 4 sound harsh...
top one ,, just over a year ago , I picked up a ns7 one , previous owner had to give it up because of an mac os update (mac os updates best time to look out for preowned gear ) lol .. this has addressed the gripe that the ns7 is too heavy . i am happy practising , on the 7 for now , and will differently consider side grading to this controller after covid , I see quite a few grumbles about the price , to many people expect champagne for lemonade money . anyhow , what are people doing with the money that the current situation is preventing from spending , time to turn these day's from negative to positive lol .
Thanks. Been looking daily for your review.
Thank you for the indepth review - nice to know that the Rane One will mostly likely fit in my DDJ-1000 Flight case. 👍
Yea I was waiting on that too
Use the aux line in.
Thanks for the information and review. Do you think it's worth upgrading from my Pioneer DDJ-1000
SRT? 🤔
Beeen waiting for Cleveland to get his hands on this! Sad though canceled my preorder because the backlog. And until we get gigs again purchase didn’t make sense
Mine came in today!
@@douglasmartinez2756 where did you order from?
I think the reason why the sound you hear when the platter spins is because of the fan at the back side is active....the numark ns7lll does the same thing when you turn on either side of the motor the fan at the rear side will kick on and when you turn off the motor the fan will turn off but I could be wrong about the rane one but I know the ns7lll does this type of thing.
Great content fam! Very helpful.
Just got mine today! Can’t wait to play with it.
Great review! How do you like the Rane One compared to your DDJ 1000?
totally agree with you we don't need 4 channels, but they did lack in the FX area, one nob for both channels and all 6 FX is not OK. also it would be awsome to pitch bend and scrat with motor funtion on...
Thanks again CT. I Agree, The Effects would be nice.
Seven decks, with a full pad section, and looping controls, stop adjust, etc...that would be completely awesome, then a Rane Serato mixer without the pads and such, freeing up plenty of room to make the mixer plenty awesome, and even a bit cheaper than the Seventy... maybe a Rane Fifty mixer..... a setup lile that , a Rane Fifty/Seven ....would be soooo awesome, and named just about perfect...lol
Thanks for the great review... I'm going to have to stick with my current setup a bit longer while I decide what is truly the next best update to my workflow.... thankfully the buold of MC7000 is pretty solid, and the flight case should help it last a few more years, of needed...
I gotta go get me this!! Thanks for the review
My first controller, have had for a year and im satisfied.
Hi Terry
I love my music and I do my djing in doors but I need a proper controller because mine is very old numark n4. Can you recommend a controller that one day I can go beyond house/bedroom djing.
Thanks
Can anyone tell me how to use the Ns7 in 2022 with a 2022 MacBook Pro. I’m lost 🤦🏽♂️
Nice review CT!
Good afternoon enjoyed the review, wanted to know about the sound card. Would you say it the best.
It’s a good sound card but then, pretty much every soundcard above 1k is good.
Hey Terry, thanks for the video what do you think the 12’s or the Rane One Your Thoughts
Thanks
Your Deck on the your left hand side has the pitch control and Up fader which looks in close proximity .Whats your take on that seeing you have the product with you .
What are the Serato DJ controllers with built in FX in the hardware?
Amazing review CT.
👍🏾👍🏾
What's up? , Please tell me how to use the twelve and two markers on the Rane one with serato dj pro
Patiently waiting for the 10" spinning platter version by Pioneer 😎😎
Looks like the SZ2 is still the king of Serato controllers. Thanks for the honest review.
As most controllers, it’s all about the bells and whistles for playing and mixing music. As a DJ/MC, how does the mic sound? Would the auxiliary input, where the mic is, work with an external mixer just for the mic?
It was said in the video, and the mic sounds like the 70.
Are the effects also working when you use a CD Player on the line in?
A dj can use any gear. Both the rane and the rev are good controllers. Check out this comparison I did. th-cam.com/video/1p5FHg7lcDA/w-d-xo.html
Thanks, your reviews are on point for real world mobile DJs 👍🏽
Have you tested if the knob for the effects controls the wet/dry in single mode as well? I'm definitely a user of the echo fx in many different instances so i need an echo with a low cut/hpf on it and it seems the only way to get that in SDJ Pro is to go into single mode with the echo and adjust the hpf just like i would on any mixer that has built in efx.....if the knob on the One also controls the wet/dry knob in the software even when you go into single mode then that would be perfect for me!!! That or Serato needs to add like a new low cut echo to their list of effects tbh
Good Review Terry ! Thx 👍
When I press echo out automatically it turns on one of the fx in the second Chanel. Do you know how to stop that ? Thanks
My main question is can I connect my NS73 dashboard to the rain one. if you're not familiar with the dashboard the dashboard takes a lot of those visuals that you have to look in the computer and you can see it right there in front of you while you're DJing so you don't have to look up at the computer as much.
@pariscreative---"
This seems to be a more recurring question so I had to test things out:
1) In Serato it does not matter. It likely expecting the NS7ii or NS7iii to be connected so even with things hooked up it wont work unless Serato makes some changes to that
2) In VDJ it does work, but with caveats:
2a) There is no place to mount the monitors directly on the One
2b) You have to deliver 12v/2a power to it. There is no power delivery mechanism on the controller
What is the weight difference to the ns series controllers
Great review as usual!
I hate the look of the NS7. Never been a fan of all that red.
Great review CT as always! Just curious to know your thoughts on the mics not having an Echo or not being able to talk over? Do you think this will be fix on later versions?
Great video Terry.
Thank you
I think Im going to pass on this unit.. not having a screen is kinda disappointing.. no talkover is lame.
