Fabulous video Diana. I would say the Fiona scarf I purchased from your shop, is like a rich aunt staple. I wrap that around my neck, put on with a cashmere V neck sweater, jeans and knee high boots.. voila it is a fantastic look! ❤ 🧣
Found you by accident with a scarf video, and saw all the ways I have always used scarves with most outfits. BUT, this 2nd video is a total joy to watch. I am 81 years old and have always enjoyed playing with color, shape and textures of clothes and accessories. Unfortunately, I now live in a rural, jeans and sweatshirt, no makeup kind of area and so most of my terrific outfits are for me to enjoy. I spend much of my time at home with my animals, many art projects, and large beautiful garden to keep me happy and fit. I look forward to seeing many more of your oh so fun videos. Great job of styling those pieces👍👍😁
Ironically, my mother was the rich aunt and her name was Miriam. She passed away two years ago and I kept many items from her wardrobe. I am practicing to be the rich aunt to my nieces. ❤
I'm 70 and your videos (like this one and Queen Badies) really help me re-imagine some of my "rich aunt" clothing...making my look feel more modern (and less like I pulled something from my closet that Iactually wore 40 years ago-which i did!) I have an ancient, Oleg Cassini Black Tie sequin jacket that I'd like to put back into rotation. And I need it to read more casual and more edgy. I'll have to try it with one of my Harley Davidson t shirts...
😊That sounds fabulous! Like edgy & pushing things a bit, but when I looked up inspo online💻 the examples under that category felt too extreme😳. Too much like some over blown caricature. These outfit styling videos are my favorite!!! They always remind me of how I used to dress - up until I had kids, moved to the suburbs and became utterly boring. Re-finding myself again over the last few years and your videos are helping.
If I had a sweater similar to the pearl embellished one, I'd probably wear it with a sheer solid black long sleeve t-shirt, and my favorite dark jeans, and my combat boots. I'm probably weird that way, but I know I would enjoy it, and that is all that matters. Love the video, sorry I just got around to watching it. I've been very busy.

I just inherited my mother and grandmothers’ jewelry. There are a lot of beautiful pieces that don’t seem like everyday items, but there are so many that I have started wearing statement pins and bracelets with just about anything. It’s fun!
New to your channel and I absolutely am so glad I found you! What great outfits you created with "Aunt Miriam's" pieces. I really liked the pearls outfit...you looked very French!! I am 77 and do like to feel good in my clothing, not caring whether it's age appropriate!! There just comes a time when "wearing what you love" is the way to go!! I have a short sheer jacket with beautiful dragonflies in soft colors and iridescent bugle beading on it and I love it, but have only worn it once! Seeing what you did with the beautiful daisy jacket has inspired me to create a casual look with mine also!! Thank you for the inspirations and I am so looking forward to watching your upcoming videos....thank you so very much!!
You have the right body type to look good in everything. Some of us are more apple shape and short so hard to get a good look these days. I look at myself in the mirror and don't recognize my body any more. But I do enjoy watching and your style!
I have an aunt, she isn’t rich but she was helping a friend clean out a deceased relative’s home. They said she could have anything she wanted. Well, she did find a cute Gucci bag and she gave it to me. It is a floral spring style and I love styling it for spring events. Like Easter parties or weddings.
Well I do like the pearl extravaganza you have going on quite a lot … very “Daisy” in the Great Gatsby…your combinations are very surprising. I also liked the tunic dress with the black turtleneck and boots and tights. It has a 1960s beatnik - coffeehouse vibe on its own. Also the green leather mini … A white collar shirt over it or a chunky short crop off the shoulder sweater (kind of Flashdance) would be fun. I may have to Gatsby my own closet…❤🎉thank you!
Omg, I would love to hang out with you. I think you might be my long lost sister, lol. I'm always rocking my moms old clothes, as well as thrift store and garage sale items. OMG... That moment when I realized I AM Aunt Miriam! 😮 😂 Well... not the rich part but I am very picky about fabrics, I like unique pieces, and I definitely had a (not so) secret club life in the 80s (and also the 90s). I found this video incredibly inspiring for myself. I'm looking at some of my pieces in a new way. Thank you! I wasn't able to have kids so I hope my nieces don't say 'what the #%@$' some day when they go through my closet and find those unique and sentimental items I just couldn't part with. Well... realistically they will, but I hope they also have a good laugh to go with the face palm.
Great fun as usual, Diana. I loved the fact that you leant into the whole pearl theme, it reminded me of an outfit I saw Debbie Harry wear once, which was black with massive pearl necklace, massive pearl earrings and massive pearl bracelets all layered, she looked fantastic and so did you with yours …….Particularly love the beret 🤍🤍🤍
I love the tee with brown slacks and have indeed worn that style before with a v neck cardi, also with a black moto jacket and my classic faves Adidas or Pumas!

It took me a long time to be ok with being tall but I watched Alice In Wonderland at some point and realized that she looked really cool when she was big, and I've felt okay with it ever since! But you're right, that there's an awful lot of cute clothes that are too short for me to wear. Oh well!
@unblahyourself Ha! It didn't stop my from passing on my genes. Not the right video to leave this comment...but... I found a mustard velvet jacket in a thrift store and never wore it.... really I had bought it because I loved the colour and the fabric....well....after watching you video on cutting things up, I turned it onto a beautiful little regency style Spencer jacket and I LOVE IT! 💛
All of these look great. Especially the shear patterned turtleneck idea under the strap dress. I would switch the buttons on the pink linen shirt to black. This looks amazing.
I loved this video I am 75 and have still got some jackets that I’ve been wearing for over 30 years and coats too as I still love them . Watching your videos helps me to see how to style them thank you ❤❤
Oh dear - I am with your friend who loves cardigans. I love the feel of a cashmere cardigan. However, I did get told off by a French woman online for suggesting that different generations of French women would take the same cardigan and just style it differently. I guess cardigans are just nor French Girl Style - but I still love them - probably because I am a Brit.
I'm glad I found your channel. I hope to get more updated with my wardrobe. Loved the black pleather with the linen! But oh my.... the plaid pants outfits made my eyes hurt. 😊
I agree as well. If someone likes it, then fine, I don't have to like it, but I'll never wear it because to me it looks like you got dressed while you were very drunk... 😂

This has been very encouraging because I have a huge orange coat just like that, which I thrifted, and some plaid wool pants, and a black sweater with pearls. In all cases I thought - will I wear it? My choices have been validated!
Lots of fun as always. That mustard shift dress with the contrasting back looked epic with a polo neck underneath. Very French Girl! That first jacket though, with the fried egg daisies - more Glam Rock Star When High. I can’t see a French girl touching that. You rocked the pearls and more pearls look, though. I don’t even like pearls but you looked fantastic!
Kittens please!!! Love your videos & inspiration! I also LOVE mixing my patterns (altho I did get a funny comment once - another mom asked if I let my kid dress me that day LOL...that when I declared her a stick-in-the-mud!)
@tinkertailorgardenermagpie I know we need some new kittens around here! Wow what a stick in the mud lady! One time I showed up to my piano lesson and i was dressed exactly like my kindergarten student!
I think those plaid pants were probably left at Aunt Miriam's house by her boy toy lover. And I love them! I'll buy them from you! This was a great haul. The fried egg jacket was stunning. I loved the pearl themed outfit with the herringbone pants. I need to go thrifting in California!
The pearls - ooh la la! Diana, everything looks so cute on you and your combos are so unique! I always come away inspired to try new things with my own nountain of clothes, where endless possibilities await! In my family, I would be Miriam...my girls are always borrowing one thing or another. They have far richer social lives than I:) Love how you styled the brown pants!
Yeeesss Vintage=RICH AUNT my favs are the blazers. I have a gorgeous salmon velvet blazer that goes with all this years colors,,,browns, camel, cognac, burgundy, olove green...pants, skirts, boho dresses, and yes camisoles huge collection in multiple colors, rock it girl!
"It's by Marc Jacobs. You should love it!" Diana you really do speak rich aunt. I grinned and laughed with delight during the pearl cardigan part. You did so well transforming it!
I wore "Aunt Miriam's" beaded cashmere sweater on Thanksgiving. I have another that's even more over the top, which works really well with jeans. Thanks for the inspiration!
This is so timely while many of us may be visiting relatives, helping older adults in our lives tidy up, and popping into thrift shops and antique shops during our travels. I love to help parents and others tidy up. I take a carfull to the charity shop when I can and then pop in and maybe find one or two gems for me. The effort it takes to help our older loved ones tidy up curbs me from over buying, and it's a little reward. They also love it when I do a little fashion for them show after our work is done. :-) I introduced my parents to the Macklemore Thrift Shop song, to express the younger generations' appreciation for their old stuff.
Fun, fun, fun! You have given me some great ideas of what to do with the clothes that my "Rich Aunt Miriam" gave me. Of course now I will start calling my favorite Thrift Store Aunt Miniam!
This is so much fun, dear Diana. I love that green leather piece on you. Maybe just shorten it a bit to be a great little top? Lovely over some black velvet slim pants and even with the pearl cardigan on top. Go for it. Aunt Miriam would approve. Mine was an Aunt Sylvia, although she was not great at gifting. That Liz Claiborne plaid thing looks a bit like an apron Aunt Sylvia had. Sorry, can't get that image out of my head. But you are wonderful. Smart, funny and so very pretty. A gem.
I have a beautiful vintage 80s white silk charmeuse blouse with the huge shoulder pads, and beaded with black and silver beads in paisley designs on it. I need to find a way to wear it again! Yeah, I bought it in the 80s! 😂
I can relate. Fabulous long fluerette coat that was at least 50 years old. An animal got in garment bag over the summer and loved the fabric for nesting material.
That reminds me of a tragically ironic loss of a clothe. I had a cat outfit for Hallowe’en - ears, tail, and everything. But one year, while it was in storage, it was eaten by mice.
I really enjoyed this video, and I also wanted to tell you that I really love the bee necklace on your shop, I ordered it as a little gift to myself. Love it!
Punk rock at any age is kind of the point of punk rock so jump in that circle pit ladies! (At least fashionwise.) 😄 I also need to add that the all pearl all the time outfit is completely reminiscent of Sunset Boulevard. Norma Desmond would be proud.

I think those plaid pants were probably left at Aunt Miriam's house by her boy toy lover. And I love them! I'll buy them from you! This was a great haul. The fried egg jacket was stunning. I loved the pearl themed outfit with the herringbone pants. I need to go thrifting in California!
The thrifting is out of control in LA!
"Fashioney, weird, interesting..not extremely body conscious." My whole closet wardrobe 😊❤
❤️😊❤️
The pearls - ooh la la! Diana, everything looks so cute on you and your combos are so unique! I always come away inspired to try new things with my own nountain of clothes, where endless possibilities await! In my family, I would be Miriam...my girls are always borrowing one thing or another. They have far richer social lives than I:) Love how you styled the brown pants!
I'm watching the first outfit with the silk camisole and I'm yelling "graphic tee! graphic tee!" Haha...I'm learning, Prof.
Yes!
Sounds beautiful and versatile!
"It's by Marc Jacobs. You should love it!" Diana you really do speak rich aunt. I grinned and laughed with delight during the pearl cardigan part. You did so well transforming it!
Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it!
I wore "Aunt Miriam's" beaded cashmere sweater on Thanksgiving. I have another that's even more over the top, which works really well with jeans. Thanks for the inspiration!
Nice! I really wish we could post pics on here!
I like the way you styled these items. I am about Aunt Miriam's age and had that black and white sweater in the '90s.
Super inspiring! I’m playing in my closet whilst watching. Regards to your lovely auntie 🇫🇷
I love all of this! And I love that song!
You make getting dressed so joyful!
That's my goal! Only fun! Only joy!
Fun , fun , fun ❤❤❤
What's funny is that i love the masculine pants 😂
Ahhh! Everyone is so different! 😆
I did, too with the way she styled them!!
Fun, fun, fun! You have given me some great ideas of what to do with the clothes that my "Rich Aunt Miriam" gave me. Of course now I will start calling my favorite Thrift Store Aunt Miniam!
Yes!
I went to a restaurant today called The Swedish Pantry. They had boutique items at 50% off. I got quite a haul today!!!
Why did I audibly gasp when you showed that first item?!?!!😂 Sooo pretty!
😆
Great video! I love that first jacket you showed- the black with white floral design I think. I’ll be on the lookout for something like that!!😊
I'm going to wear it to a holiday party soon! 😍
Fantastic styling! You make it look so easy. ❤
Thank you! 😊
First outfit is definitely Madonna Desperately Seeking Susan “ vibes if you leave the shoulder pads in !!!
A gem.
Thank you Mary! I'm actually thinking that I need to save that dress for another cutting video!
I have a beautiful vintage 80s white silk charmeuse blouse with the huge shoulder pads, and beaded with black and silver beads in paisley designs on it. I need to find a way to wear it again! Yeah, I bought it in the 80s! 😂
Thank you Diana, I love you videos and now I need to go buy a slip..... who knew I needed one!? YOU DID!!!!!
Thanks for the fun and whimsical video. So many great ideas for me to try.
I love the dress over pants style! It just compliments my figure and I feel eclectic and beautiful 🥰
I ROCKED my Great Aunts, and both my Nanas vintage dresses in Sydney in the 80s and 90s.. ❤
omg, I love that Choupette necklace!!!!.
wow that green leather dress is fabulous !!!!
My favorite outfit was the green dress with the yellow skirt and jean jacket
You got me thinking…🎉how to do things differently- ty!👍
so much fun and i loved most of aunt Mariam's and what you did with them. you are freat lady Diana, thank you for you.
😘
I’m not a fan of pearls yet I adored your layering- so over the top it worked! 👍👋😘
The motto is KEEP GOING!
@ absolutely 😁
The polka dot pearl look is fabulous!!
Love this video and wearing a slip today can’t live without it
Absolutely fabulous as always …. wise advise and encouragement all the way thank you
😘
Well I do like the pearl extravaganza you have going on quite a lot … very “Daisy” in the Great Gatsby…your combinations are very surprising. I also liked the tunic dress with the black turtleneck and boots and tights. It has a 1960s beatnik - coffeehouse vibe on its own. Also the green leather mini … A white collar shirt over it or a chunky short crop off the shoulder sweater (kind of Flashdance) would be fun. I may have to Gatsby my own closet…❤🎉thank you!
Lots of fun combos! The raspberry linen shirt DOES work the way you styled it!
Rich aunt is 100% my thrifting vibe. Loved this.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love those pants on you! Every way you styled them was fun. I’d personally shorten them up a little.
Wearing a light denim jacket dress over a wildly colored orangey print silk like dress! Just feel great!
Stumbled on your videos, pressed the join botton right away. You're so much fun, will have to binge on your videos.
My rich aunt (who’s son was a fashion designer) gave me a beautiful mohair coat - it was fabulous. Then one year moths got to it - still sad about it.
Oh nooooooo
I can relate. Fabulous long fluerette coat that was at least 50 years old. An animal got in garment bag over the summer and loved the fabric for nesting material.

That reminds me of a tragically ironic loss of a clothe. I had a cat outfit for Hallowe’en - ears, tail, and everything. But one year, while it was in storage, it was eaten by mice.
As I have a lap full of miniature Pinschers the lack of kittens is forgiven.
I really enjoyed this video, and I also wanted to tell you that I really love the bee necklace on your shop, I ordered it as a little gift to myself. Love it!
Yay! I'm so glad!
the original punk goddesses *are* in their 60s & 70s!
Punk rock at any age is kind of the point of punk rock so jump in that circle pit ladies! (At least fashionwise.) 😄 I also need to add that the all pearl all the time outfit is completely reminiscent of Sunset Boulevard. Norma Desmond would be proud.
That's right! 💯
My favorite is the pearl outfit. :)
you can cut the collar straight off, on silk shirts, linen, cotton whatever. You just cut and then trim well.
“That’s not style. That’s a mistake.” 😂😂😂 you are funny
❤ very fun video! Maybe Aunt Miriam will visit again soon!
I hope so!
Great video! Really fun watching what can be done with certain pieces of clothing you may have thought would be an option.
@carrieannstocks4715 glad you enjoyed this! 😘
Fun, fun, fun!
Luv the pearls theme👍✨
I am not rich, but have a lot of great op shop clothes. I hope I can pass on my finds to my nieces 😅

Glad you liked this! 😘
I looove the sheer flower turtle neck ❤ where is it from ?
Yes, which brand? So unusual. I like covered up but cool in summer.
You guys got me digging through my closet tonight! The tag says AFRM. I hope that helps!
Fun! Loving the topic.
LOVE THE LINEN SHIRT OUTFIT! Sorry, I had to yell it! 😂
