The dizzying array of new equipment is expected and complementary of someone of your skill level but I must confess to being a bit nostalgic for the old Time Machine. It had a certain charm that I liked. As always this was truly impressive. BTW , I served in the US military when this watch was made and never knew they existed. Well done!!!!
@@robertlassiter907 : I understand. They seemed like a nice watch. I have heard of the brand before, I just wondered how reliable they were, with only seven jewels. Quartz watches have been around for a similar length of time and the Hong Kong marking seems odd, unless they sub-contracted the work out, or just had them manufactured in Hong Kong and put their logo on it. I understood them to be an American brand. I'll have to research on the Internet now my curiosity has been aroused. Thanks for replying, hope you are enjoying your retirement.
Gorgeous restoration. That lume colour is nice and rich. I have a 46374B and I wish I could find someone here that could do that kind of colour matching. You brought it back to life!
Wow! what a beautiful watch . Beautiful job restoring it . Your toys just keep getting better and better but I miss the moldy oldie machines you used to use , they seemed to have character I think . I'll bet some of them are worth more than my house . Thank you Sir for putting yourself out there for all to enjoy .
Every video's got the - Time machine - Socks - Fantastic music - Breathtaking visuals and angles These videos are done with the same care as these timepieces and I love it.
You are really an artist at putting together these videos. So enjoyable to watch. When it comes to music, video length, and other choices, follow your instincts. Don’t worry about what people comment one way or another. The joy you have in creating these videos comes across to us. Part of that is your joy of the process of creation, including putting in whatever music or transitions or captions you feel like including. I enjoy all the choices you’ve made. Thank you.
Your videos are superb now and your skill is shown off for the better, music also fits very well you are now without doubt one of the best restoration channels around. 👏
Me and everybody else want to say there'll be appreciate how you fix these time pieces and you take your time making these videos for us. Thank you. I appreciate all your videos because it takes time. Love and patience to fix those time pieces watches. Keep up the good work. Thank you😊💪👍👍👏👏🇵🇷💯☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️
You are the best restorer on TH-cam, I love your videos. but still, they are perfect without music. Mechanical sounds in their purest form, that's what's great ❤
What a superb job, the work done on this watch was incredible. I love how far you’ve progressed as a channel, bringing us viewers, such how high-quality content. The filming, the close-ups, the image quality, the editing and production have gotten exponentially better. I love seeing your new machines and tools. I like the music on the videos, but man, listening to the clicks, snaps, ticks, etc. of the watch and you working, without any other noise never gets old. Thank you!
I love that you went all in and gave it a "brand new, straight from the shop" look. I can't stand all of the restoration and leave thst "used patina" look, most of the times. This is gorgeous! I love this video! FLAWLESS job !
I also have a same model of this watch that is not working. Approx 37 years ago my young brother gave it to me for my military service enrollment. I still have it but is not working maybe that is worn out and theqwinding stem is broken. I hope to restore this but I could not find an experts who can repair this old watch around me yet. Thanks for your clip to give me hope to restore my old watch.
I had one of these in the early 70s(retired USN Aviator)...wish I kept it, no idea where it went.. "Combat Watch".... GREAT video..done to music, no commentary..best that way.
Outstanding video and restoration. You sir are a master of your trade and have very few peers of equal skill. As a Tool and Die Maker (mostly in sheet metal stampings) for the last 40 years, I can appreciate what it takes to make all those parts that make up a watch movement. Perfect music too, for this.
Awesome job! I have one from April 1984. Mine is a GG-W-113, but the dial and back don't reflect having any radiation. Since the marker lume on mine hadn't "yellowed" that bad, I put white lume back in my hands (not a fan of adding color to lume, since it will effect how it glows). Also found that using white touch-up appliance enamel paint works great on repainting the white parts of the hands.
It is great to see the progress in you. I am pretty sure you were really good at your job before starting a TH-cam channel. but looking at how you and the tools have evolved over the past few years, it is very motivating. Thank you for all the videos. Thank you!
Oh my goodness, how long have I been waiting for something like this! I love Vietnam War-era MIL watches so when I saw YOU restoring one, I immediately gave it a thumbs up (without watching it)! Now I want a Hamilton even more, thanks to you!😉
Beau travail.
After watching the start, I had to check and see if I was watching RDR. I was. What an improvement on your already great content and love the new equipment you're using.
This restoration is beyond anything I've seen before! Music, closeups, angles! The new camera is AMAZING! Cannot wait for the next one...
Thanks mate, the new camera is also a lot of extra work but I guess it´s worth it :)
@@RedDeadRestoration yeah, but it rocks!
Its a fantastic production
@@RedDeadRestoration i was looking to buy one of these watches since long time? any chance you want to sell?
😊😊😊😊😊😊
This isn’t a restoration video. It’s a movie. Absolutely outstanding.
For sure!
Usually I'm not a fan of music on this kind of channel, but the music used was really lovely and not just a random loop.
If there is a GPHG award for restorations, RDR fully merits an award! This is artwork at its finest!
Your video production quality has always been very good, but this is going even beyond your previous level. Stunning and beautiful.
Thanks so much ☺️🙏
love the new equipment, by far the best channel out there when it comes to watch restoration.
I wholeheartedly agree!!!!!!!
Без музыки лучше
It is a beautiful time piece. I got 36mm new one and am wearing this for 5 years. Your video to me is therapy session. Thank you so much.
I'm an aircraft mechanic and I work on lots of different types of vehicles. I was mesmerized. That was fascinating. New subscriber.
I just watched an 18 minute movie made by Red Dead...... !!! Masterpiece!!!
Your videos are consistently excellent, and this one is no different. One piece of modest feedback - I prefer them without any music.
Indeed, the videos are great. If you don't like the music, I suggest turning down your volume.
Yeah the music is too stressful. The video itself is much more relaxing to watch..
@@ramansharif2765buy a life or shut up
There are other restoration TH-camrs out there, but I, personally, just my opinion, think Red Dead Restoration is the best! 👍
with out question and by far
Yup, RDR is the best
I have seen other watch restoration video's, but you Sir are without a doubt the undisputed master. Bravo! ❤
The time, the method, the patience, the sequence. You are a very talented guy, in many different areas, congratulations
Absolutely superb. I think what we’ve just witnessed is the restoration of a real military watch.
Well done 👍
Everything inside Hamilton watches is very small, but because of high quality Camera and macro lenses makes this video look amazing 🤩

Robertlassiter: To whom were the watches issued? Or did servicemen have to buy their own?

A superb presentation. That new cleaning machine is incredible.
Very good!! Fun to watch. I would like to see the hands and face in the dark and see how they look with the non radioactive luminescent features.
Watch the end of the video again 😉
