    Great videos bro, I appreciate your content, you always cover areas that other vista content creators fail to torch on. 👍🏽

    Another great overview Nick.
    The two biggest new features for me is the new 360 panorama hotspot view ( will save a lot of moving and resizing time) and the mobile skin preview. Also worth mentioning, for UK based companies, is that the prices you give don’t include VAT, which does have an cost impact for smaller business that are not VAT registered.
    For a future video I would be interested in one on Magic Plan. Especially as I am moving to a Lidar iPhone, this could be really useful.

    3dVista is a must for commercial industries and customization. I use it and love the software. I'm still shooting in 2D 360 though and that is still lacks behind the matterport pro 2 camera. Hopefully someday I can get my hands on a true 3D 360 camera like the insta 360 pro 2.
    I'm curious Nick, what is your workflow? Mine is the following:
    Sony A7RIII
    12mm 180 degree fisheye
    Nodal Ninja 6
    4 shot 90 degree rotation then 180 degree rotation for zenith and nadir
    Lightroom classic correct, and hdr merge (9 bracket shots)
    PT Gui Pro
    AFFINITY Photo
    3DVista

    Hey Nick, first thanks a lot for your overview on new features. Seems an awesome tool. What I'd like to know is, whats your prefered 3d Cam to use in combination with 3DVista. I am concidering buying Matterport Pro2 but am not 100% sure if I need some further services of them to buy as a subscription or simply just use the Pro2 + 3DVista and done or does it even make sence to buy a Matterport for that combination? Thanks a ton and have great new year sir! Cheers

    • @NickPowellPhotography
      @NickPowellPhotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks very much. Matterport is a completely separate system altogether, and one I don't personally recommend. I personally use a Sony A7iv with the Samyang 12mm f2.8 fisheye lens and a Nodal Ninja 6 with the RD10 rotator.
      I do have a course available that explains how to take 360 photos using both a one shot camera and also DSLR or Mirrorless cameras if that would be of interest?

      You cannot use a Matterport camera with any system other than their own. The image quality is NOT worth the high cost of both the camera and their hosting fees. You also have zero control over the image. There is no editing involved. You simply push a button and then upload to their cloud. Matterport is absolutely awful in my opinion, as someone who used it regularly since 2018. Their Support is also a joke.

    Hi Nick. I found your channel. Very helpful. I plan on purchasing as such. One quick questions... Does it let you set the initial view? The demo does for startup, when when i hotspot to a pano, it seems to ignore the initial view point..... suggestions?

    • @NickPowellPhotography
      @NickPowellPhotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can, then you can choose the transition type. One of which is to face in the direction you choose or a manually fixed one that will override your original choice for that transition. 👍

      You need to click on the hotspot, then double click on the "Open Panorama" action. The setting is under there.

      @@NickPowellPhotography hi nick. Yes. The size of the tour. And jpg quality.

    • @NickPowellPhotography
      @NickPowellPhotography  ปีที่แล้ว

      The size of the tour depends on what you have in it really, however I would say that my average is 5-700MB. I always keep JPEG quality at 80 in 3D Vista, but I increase the tile size in the preferences, then drag the published folder into JPEG Mini which helps to reduce the size of the tour.

      That pixel size is fine, my images are 18x9k pixels. However I wouldn't recommend setting it to 100%, just leave it at the default which I think is 80.

      You can, but if you are looking at doing 360 photos as opposed to video, I wouldn't recommend that Insta 360. Check out the review I did for the Trisio Lite 2, which is a fantastic 360 camera and great value.

      You can't, I don't think you can with any software, unless it has GPS data attached. And even then, the software isn't able to tell exactly where you want the hotspots to be placed.

      Matterport knows. You only need to scan often. You should see the following image. Very good, no need to do separate links one by one.

    • @NickPowellPhotography
      @NickPowellPhotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The navigation with Matterport is a pain, as the user has to click way too much to navigate the tour. Plus you have minimal control over your own images, and how the tour is customised for the client.

    Nick I just bought the program over buying Matter port. Super happy with the software, until they want you to pay per mouth for outstanding payment. I have a business doing this now too. Just started but cant start my business paying more then what I make. So trying to run this on my own server why is publishing not talked about more? It's super frustrating when you work really hard on a virtual tour for a client and you cant post it on there website cuz you have to buy the cloud service. The prices are nuts. Especially like I said i could pay for my own server and it would be so much cheaper.

    • @vtfpro
      @vtfpro 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not complaining just confused on how that works. I've tried to even watch the tutorial on " How To Publish a Virtual Tour to the Internet (FTP)" but that really doesn't tell you how it would work on your own server and what would you actually need to make that happen.
      Also would be amazing to actual have 3D Vista actual have a tech service number to call, I've emailed them several times and no answer. Still No Answer! Your videos have helped a lot and some of there videos too. I believe this has lots of potential but if you guy want to take matter ports clients which you could, then make it worth it for the customer IDK something to tell 3D vista.

    • @NickPowellPhotography
      @NickPowellPhotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Todd... The video I did on FTP hosting explains how to upload tours to your own server. All you need to do is export the tour for web in 3D Vista, and then upload those files to your server as shown in the video. Apologies for the late reply, but hopefully you have managed to get it sorted by now.
