    For years, the all-request Night Owl show played pop & rock on Saturday nights. It featured a variety of hosts -- and promos.

    These are all very good. I wonder who did them? Night Owl was a lot of fun and i remember it was on for many years with many varied hosts

      Hey, Peter! Good to hear from you after all these years.
      More often than not, the person who produced the spot would also tag it. There were exceptions, though -- especially with the call letter change to WMBR (in May, 1979), there was a wholesale effort to convert the promo library to the new call letters, and so a number of folks (including myself) lent a hand with that.
      Agreed that this was a very special group of people.
      In the years since, I've done work for perhaps a hundred (many well-known) media companies -- and pound-for-pound, I think the folks at WTBS/WMBR were one of the most creative, collaborative and ingenious groups I've ever had the good fortune to work with.
      I consider myself privileged to have been a part of it.
