The first scene includes playback of a pre-recorded music track, which the actors mime on-set for the camera. Heard here are both the sound of the tape playback, as well the director’s instructions during the filmed take.

"Production 60043" is Paramount's production number for Star Trek.
... "dash 70", “... 71”, "... 75" or "... 79" denotes the production number of the episode.
This identifier would have been specified at the beginning of each reel of audio tape, by the production sound mixer.

Off-camera dialog (of an absent actor, the other side of a radio transmission, etc.) is read on-set by the script supervisor.

The sound of the set’s wooden doors sliding open & closed was replaced by the ’swish’ sound effect, after filming, in post-production.
