    Jess Cain was such a clever and talented man. The voice of my childhood... and a huge influence on my sense of humor/fun.

      Agreed. Jess Cain was one of a kind, and a class act.
      I was lucky to see him work his magic up close, in the WHDH studios on Stuart Street, back in the day. (He even spontaneously pulled me into the studio, and interviewed me on the air, live. That was pretty surreal. :)
      He and his engineer, Pudge Flynn, had a magical collaboration. After working together for many years, they could practically read each other’s thoughts. That was a big inspiration to see, early on. :)

      Jess Cain went to Notre Dame. Closer to Chicago than Boston. But, he got a tip about a gig in Boston and off he went. 33 years on WHDH Radio.
