I like that with the Android environment, you can background the Mevo apps so that you can use one device to stream and score to GameChanger or others. I have heard with the new iOS devices your can use Stage Manager to run multiple apps, but not all of us are running the newest iOS devices.
Great point! I’m used to having stage manager handle switching for me but tried to use split screen on an older ipad recently and was frustrated at the lack of functionality.
Thanks again Jason!
This was very helpful!
Glad you thought so, thanks!
Good comparison thanks for doing this
Thanks for watching!
Super Info! Gruss aus Switzerland,
Thanks!
I use the Samsung Tab8 and it works with 3 cams for my baseball stream. Thank you for the video!
I managed to use the a7 a few times for SLHD. With a two camera setup it did ok. But the 8 is incredible. Just a pain to get videos back off it and onto my ipad for editing.
Yes, I also use Samsung Tab S8 Ultra with 3 camera setups. It works great. I love the larger screen as I'm able to run Mevo, GameChanger, and SidelineHD from 1 device.
do you have a data plan for your tablet, use a mifi hotspot, or use your phone as a hotspot? I currently use my phone for all. I'd like to get a tablet and then livestream through my phone hotspot if it would work. I dont want the expense of another data plan
@@stevepionke9334 I previously used a phone only. Then moved to tablet with mifi plugged directly into tablet (the tablet used wifi to mevo cameras). Then purchased wifi router and wired the mifi to the wifi wan port. The wifi router is the win for multiple cameras/devices (3 mevo, tablet) and is recommended. The wifi router setup is so much easier/quicker. However, I have used a friend's phone hotspot in an emergency. Your tablet will talk wifi to your mevo cameras. if you do not use a wifi router, you will need to hardwire your internet/phone hotspot to your tablet.
@@RichardMontanez So how do you do this? Do you put producer in the background, and then split-screen GC and SidelineHD in the foreground? How does that work when you need to switch cameras, does it switch pretty fast? I'm currently running an old tablet for producer, and then 2 individual old phones for GC and SHD.
what wifi router do you use so that everything works well ?, please recommend a brand that is good quality and works well without any problems?
I’m using the TPLink AX5400 indoors and the GLi.net Slate AXT1800 travel router when outdoors.
@@JasonHoffmanYT thanks
How do I cancel the 14 day trial so I will not be charged. I can find no way to do that in the app. I cannot afford the 20 dollars.
Should be able to sign in to streamlabs and stop the subscription in your account settings.
Can I use the camera on my ipad air. I see the volume levels are on but I do not see a way to use the ipad camera
No, just the mic.
@@JasonHoffmanYT why is that and Will that ever change. Seems like the camera should work if the mic does and it would be very useful too
Beats me and prolly not. You can use the camera and mic of a smartphone using the Mevo Pro subscription but using the control device’s camera is not on the roadmap that I know of.
19 dollars a month seems like a lot for us poor folk just to use an iPhone mic and camera is there another app that does the same thing with the Mevo cameras? And thanks for being so kind with responding to my questions. I also want to buy some of your camera covers if you still are making them.
@@RobiRaw The $19 opens up a lot more than this but if you’re only using it to bring in a smartphone then it’s pretty steep. You can look at TopDirector which allows the control device cameras plus NDI or RTSP inputs.
Audio doesn’t switch with camera, all audio is mixed no matter which camera is active.
Android, iOS or both?
@@JasonHoffmanYT both, the audio mixer behaves as if separate from video mixer
It’s a good thing
Maybe not as old as time, but pretty close!! 😅😅 -Joseph
And well fought in your offices from what I hear!
For me, no iOS nor Android. NDI plugin and OBS is the perfect match. I got remote cameras, audio mixers, subtitles, direct stream and everything I need to livestream at my church. Ditch my Sony cameras and sold my Atem Mini Extreme ISO to keep just the 3 Mevo's and a M1 MacBook Air with OBS. No licence fees and more capable.
OBS is a great tool! I dabbled with it a few years ago, lots of power available to you.
IOS has a bug that doesn't record sound.
When recording to the ipad/iphone or when recording to the sdcard?
